In those 3 players we'd have Ramirez, Lallana, Phillips, Puncheon, Guly, Lee, J-Rod, De Ridder, Chaplow....if we bring in these two, I wouldnt be surprised to see one or 2 of these leave. (Punch, De Ridder, Chaplow most likely)
He's clearly wanting to come to us, if you read through the Ramirez thread there are loads of quotes from him. We're clearly also breaking the bank to sign him, just a matter of it being signed I think.
Just pay it ffs. If we're willing to pay it, in installments, then just pay it in the right way, this guy could be the difference between staying up and going down.
Swap Punch for Phillips. Then we have Guly, Lee, De Ridder, Lallana, Ramirez, Phillips fighting over those 3 spots and J-Rod, Lambert and Sharp over the striker position.
I'm sure he has been assessed as the right sort of character we want to have in and around the dressing room, as this seems to be important to NC and NA.
I loved league one. Was brilliant being the 'big fish'. Loads of great new grounds, nice pubs, and superb wins! I'll never forget brentford and Plymouth away in L1 run in
Mentioned in the HCDAJFU thread...

Transfer soap around Alexander Büttner gets a sequel. Southampton undertake a new attempt the 23-year-old left back to take away at Vitesse.
Büttner in Arnhem banished to the promises after a conflict over a transfer. His attempt by an arbitration case his exile to undo and a limited ransom to get failed Wednesday. On all fronts, he was unsuccessful.
But there is hope for a solution to the impasse Southampton as a new bid has deposited with Vitesse. A transition to The Saints bounced off a month ago on the requirement of Büttner an additional fee where all the parties to a settlement had been reached. Photo: VI Images
