Arrived in Deal last night for a well deserved Easter respite break. Promised mrs h that there would be minimal football talk following the last couple of months almost blanket Saints coverage. Apart from obviously sitting with Spuds supporting BiL to watch the demolition of Pompey and subsequent slagging off of Redknapp and lolling at Pompey fans cheeering him and the 'in denial' Spuds fans cheering him in the knowledge that he is in the process of messing them up royally. Football WAS off the agenda. Little did I know that my nephew-in-law-to-be is a main sponsor of Dover Affletic! And tomorrow The Whites are playing host to the mighty Spitfires! And guess who has been invited as 'guest of honour' with full rights to any alcoholic beverage FOC from the executive lounge? Yep, tis I, Le Hamster... Who should I pledge my allegiance to though? The club who play just around the corner from where I live and drive past their ground every day en route to work, or Dover Athletic, managed by Andy Hessentaller and shored up on the field by the legend that is Nicky Southall? The Gills connection is very strong with me, their play-off win at the old Wembley being my last visit to the lovely stadium watching a team that included both of these gentleman of the lower leagues. I think that my mind is made up but what do people advise?

Seriously, where do these 'rumours' come from and who do people think starts them? Is it just agent talk or just total guff.

When Rickie had spotted tha ball for the penalty, some bloke near me said out loud 'no pressure Rickie, no pressure mate'.

Agent Niemi, Agent Niemi. Return to HQ, you're task has been completed. Well done Agent Niemi

Is there a difference between 'blind faith' and hacing values, values that for whatever reason you trust? I accept all the differing opinions but for me persoanlly I would hate to swap places with a BA flight attendant right now. One thing that does rankle a little though is how the high profile union groups like the railwaymen and BA staff have fallen for this very clever trick, you can bet that ALL of the political parties are drooling over the prospect of slaughtering these lambs. Poor old girls, at least they'll get a decent redundancy payout. Well until that's been spent and they have to claim benefits, then they'll become plain old lazy scroungers, the ones that we are all supposed to really detest. What's worse to some I wonder?

Typical case of men's inaility to accept having small feet. Ther is absolutely NO connection between the size of a man's feet and that of his winkie.

'the weekend I have just had 'hang-over' does not go halfway to describing what I have tonight. I think I would describe it as more of a 'over-hang' tbh.

Missed it sob. Yesterday must have been so many people's (like myself) greatest moment who missed 1976 sadly. :smt035

I may be foolish and say some foolish things at times, but this is not one of those occasions. What is so wrong with supporting someone (working class, at that) is scared for their future? Has no-one on here been cornereed and scared for their future, and their childrens and grandchildren's future ad infinitum. Get behind the 'trolley dollies' ffs. Or stay out of it, sorry to be so course, but these people have rights that people died for to establish. No offence intended, I promise.

I think I want a rewind, History lesson about to commence: OMO ( an old person's washing powder) - if a housewife on a council estate wanted to let her *cough* boyfriend to know that her Old Man was Out, would place an 'OMO' packet in her kitchen window. A sort of 'ALL CLEAR' signal.

tbh I was a little devilish on Sunday. I did have a sneaky 'smoke' in celebration when we got back to the caravan, Bloody Pikie side of the family unfortunately. Not a bad bunch actually, I had the time of my life. Best day of my Saints supporting life actually. Anyone else?
-
OMO Older women should get that one. ;-)

chris, fyi there are plenty female members fo this forum that have been sending me some pretty personal messages since I announced that I had grown a beard just after Christmas. I had this one woman who sent me some very rude photographs, she is now, you will be pleased to read, banned from this site. Filthy cow.

That is the nicest thing that anyone has said to (or about) me for a long time chris, thank you. But thinking about it are you suggesting that yesterday I was NOT as honest as the day before as yesterday only lasted 23 hours?

shaven Forgot to mention b, I shaved it off on Friday, it is gone but am keeping the beard trimmer as I will definitiely grow another at some point. Beards are cool.
