  5. That's not very nice now is it. Anyway, if we are that bloody influential and the damage we are/have been doing has been only over the past (what shall we say) 150 years Max. we are surely done for, surely. I am of the opinion that we are only putting back what we have taken out, maybe in it's particulate (i may have made that word up) parts, but I'm fairly comfortable thinking that it will all be okay in the end. One example I would offer is 'oil'. yes, that dirty, filthy, horrible gunk that is poisonous to everything that it comes into contact with, all of it's by-products (petrol etc) are supposed to be sounding the death knell of us all. And where does this nasty stuff come from? What is it made of? I shall not be cancelling the milk this week. I may come over as a bit thick but I aint stupid.

  7. One Herbie Taylor There's only one Herbie Taylor ..... ............ Has to be done imo. Hope it's a good turn out as Herbie does epitomise what many allude to - 100% true Saint

  9. /\ Found it: "How much water and air is there on planet Earth? Not as much as you might think. The image below shows all the water in the world (including oceans, ice, lakes, rivers, ground water, clouds, etc.); and all the air in the atmosphere gathered into a ball at sea-level density. Truly amazing imho that we have ever been on this planet, ever let alone now. And people are naieve enough to think that we can **** it all up with our little motor cars and air travel and not seperating our baked bean cans from our dirty nappies! Nonsense.
  10. Anyone got a link to the picture showing the total volume of water next to the globe? Pretty amazing to think of all the species that thrive on such a small amount. Makes one wonder at how finely tuned it all is. An argument 'for' life on other palnets or maybe a strong case against? I'll have agoogle.
  11. Ain't -------------------------------- at scool i was teached that "there isn't no such word as 'ain't" ! Course their is, isn't theyr'e?
  12. My Aunite works for them, factory down near Somers Road.
  13. Have the club stated that he has gone for 'footballing reasons' at all? Who do people seriously think they will try to tempt into the hotseat who might possibly be able to get hem playing well again? No time for an astute wheeler dealer, it will have to be a motivator imho. Ergo, AP will be staying with us for the time being.
  14. Well he has apparently had the op already (this afternoon) so you never know, he might just come through in time. Even if he doesn't I would advocate him travelling with the team as a in a non playing talisman/ambassadorial role - much like young Theo did last time around ;-)
  15. Ooh that could make for an interesting scenario, did he present the JPT to Luton last year?
  16. Nice interview with Herbie here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yylY8w6H9eA

  18. Shame, I was only saying to my nipper earlier when watching Rooney's great performance that we (Engerland) always seem to lose a pivotal player in te run up to major tournaments. Then this! Maybe Fergie should start to rest Rooney or at least take him off when the game is in the bag, for Englands sake. I for one would be absolutely guttes if the worst should happen and arguably the best player in the World currently gets crocked too?
  19. Only met Herbie the once. I was supporting a group of kids from Belarus on a Stadium tour. What a great ambassador for our club he was. He took the kids to the club shop at the end of the tour and told them to each choose a shirt from a certain (end of line and training tops iirc) rail. Some of the kids wandered around and grabbed first team replica shirts, I explained to them that they had to choose from the other rails but Herbie came over and told me not to worry, he had a word with the checkout staff and off they all trotted with their brand new first team shirt. A week later they were guests at the pre-season friendly; a dozen or so new saints supporters from Belarus in their saints shirts. Cheers for sorting that Herbie, a very well deserved plaudit tonight. Top man, a true Saint.

  24. So, is this Greg chap the one who'll be handing out JPT winners medals in two weeks time then? I was kinda hoping Lord M would do it as I don't think he heard me boo'ing him at last seasons Div 2 play-off final. And boy oh boy, did I boo him.
