/\ Appears to have done the trick, cheers Ben. Don't know why it didn;t work before though.

/\ Or a pool on the nile, some very luxurious boats down sail down the Nile, we were not on on of them I hasten to add even though we went with Kuoni, who imo trade off of their (old) reputation rather than what they actually serve up.

You must really like land mines A.

If you like James Bond films then Temple at Karnak is a must. But if you get the chance visit the modest but awe inspiring Tomb of Tut Ankh Amun (sp), most of our party refused to pay the additional few quid, but all later said that they regretted it. There is a place called Abu Simbel south of the Aswan Dam which was moved in it's entirey years ago, we didn't fancy the 6 hour coach journey, but later wish that we had. Unfortunately less than a week after we returned from our trip, there was that nasty massacre at the Temple of Hatshepsut (sp), hence Mrs h say's we will not be returning to Egypt. Shame as I really really wanted to visit the Pyramids at Giza, and the Museum of Egyptology. Some will warn that you may get 'temple weary' as there are many to see, but please don't be put off by this. Each has an interesting story, and not all the architecture is identical as they were built by diufferent dynasties and in Cleopatra's time the buildings started to incorporate some features that you would not expect in such a hot climate, such as gutters and drainpipes. One 'to miss' in my opinion was the 'Light Show at Philae' the nicest part of which is the boat trip, but you can do a boat trip seperately if you want on a Feluka (sp) anyway. Take loads of boiled sweets, pencils and note pads for the local kids too, they seriously do get more excited to receive them than if you throw them the odd coin. You may be prey to rip-offs! If you see something that you really want in a shop or whilst on an excursion, be sure that you will see it again at a local market for a fraction of the price, barter, barter, barter. I really do hope that we don't have any budding Egyptologists on here who are going to tear my post apart, as I am writing it from memory and I ain't no Wikipedia. hamster

Campaign and RISK are good.

RM started it's decline around the same time that they employed Mr (pshycho) Dennis. Obviously just a coincidence. Seriously though, Ifeel for the postmen, they are so top heavy with expensive managers that are non productive but very expensive indeed. It will take a major overhaul imo to sort (pardon the pun) the structure out. Turkeys and Christmas methinks.

Very close Weston Super Saint, very close indeed. The curry was lovely btw, and for my very first attempt at not using a jar of sauce, I am chuffed. Next time I will use real cream as on this occasion I went for the low-cal fromage frais (idiot). The furthest that a golf ball has travelled when hit was aboard a flight of Concorde. Putted down the aisle whilst travelling at really fast, it was estimated to have travelled more than NINE miles. IIRC it was hit by someone on the Sue Ryder Cup team in the late nineties. When I worked there (Thieth Row) in the early 90's I remember that Suggs (Madness) hit one for charity that travelled quite some distance too. Feel free to add deatils from Google. I am currently boycotting Google to see exactly how much I know (or not) with a view to sueing Kent County Council Educacion Authority for not doing their job properly.

Can someone help me to set the OS as a home page please? I use Firefox with 4 homepage tabs. The OS always starts at that annoying ad, but I want to go straight in at the 'News' page. Thanks in advance hamster

I am off to cook a curry from proper ingredients, and when i return I shall tell you where it was hit, unless someone gets there foirst.

What is your favourite FIST filght scene in a film? I expect a few nasty gratuitous suggextions from blood-thirsty youngsters among us, but for me, this one is not just a good fight, it is quite amusing and one that can be enjoyed by the whole family, over 50 years old too; The Quiet Man: Skip to about 60 seconds for the first punch.

Rubbish game, doesn't do what it says on the box. Best 'board' game by a mile - naked Twister with baby oil.
-
http://www.golftoday.co.uk/clubhouse/coursedir/hampshire/ottebourne.html btw, with rubbish bins at most tees, why do people have to chuch rubbish around the course up there? There are dozens and dozens of discarded bottles and cans all over the place.

Out of interest, how much would a full respray cost nowadays, including all the prep work?

Sorry SS, I should have got back to you earlier. For some reason we have no evidence of mousey on kitchen worktops just yet. Only left tell-tale droppings and nibbled carpets in our bedroom, all three bathrooms, (twice) on coffeee table amd behind Sky box. This mouse is not behaving how he should I fear. Your device does look like a simple but ingenius solution, but I really want to avoid luring him/it into the kitchen area of I can help it. Update - nothing happened last night, although Grandson number 2 did manafe to set one off today without losing any fingers.

I must stress that I am absolutley carp at golf, but do enjoy it. I am just getting used to Otterbourne after playing at Fleming Park last year. Still think they should have kept it open and saved a few bucks by the council running it themselves as opposed to contracting it out. Who goes there now? Just bloomin dog walkers and doggers I bet. What waste.

I plated this evening at Otterbourne, and I am still damp.

He can't even spell his own name right ffs! Unless of course he is of Irish descent, in which case I am a moron and apologise unreservedly.

Do they still 'caulk' over there? And is it true that there is only one escalator on the Island? I am sure that I read about it being a local tourist attraction when it fisrt opened in the eighties, but everyone was scared to ride it. What makes one 'island' and 'Island', and another 'island' an 'Isle? This puzzles me.

Details SL, mere details. On the subject of golf balls, does everyone agree that 'that' golf ball hit was the farthest that a golf ball has ever been struck? Do not answer too quickly, this is a test.

Wouldn't be the first time I've been woken by one of them, thankfully I always use a pseudonym (I think that's the word), so no reprisals.

In my house it is not tomorrow until you have been to sleep and woken up again. Go to sleep, and no listening to Radio Mi Amigo (with their disgusting adverts for ladies sanitary products - urgh) under the blankets.
