    RIP car

Is that the new model MR2? Think about it. This is quite funny for a Wednesday evening IMHO.
  2. Personally, re the protests, I think and hope that the message may have gotten through. I took part in the march and had even planned to 'march out', to the point of not even taking a season ticket with me. Outside the ground I felt an overwhelming urge to stay, paid for a ticket I(in the Northam of all places) and had the best time I have had all season. I will never forget that match for all the right reasons. I don't remember ever seieng us lose from the Northam, and it did cross my mind that I played a big part in getting that win, I really do feel that I should have got a mention from the manager in the post match interview.
  3. I know which I'd rather be. Even though I don;t like to think about it, this will be a polpular fixture whether we are safe, fighting or already down. I reckon a sellout either way, as will be the Burnley home game the week before. Actually, after Saturdays match, I am all excited again, bring it on.
  4. Sorry but I disagree with your reasining here derry. The current board are a minority group in one respect, as they only represent a relatively small number of individual shareholders votes. I wouldn't know the exact numbers but if it was a democratic 1 man 1 vote system, they quite simply would not get anywhere near to the boardroom. You are correct about the season ticket holders, but they do not as far as I am aware, have a facility whereby they can elact a 'leader', if this changes then I would fully back their right to represented too. For this reason I DO supoort the Trust's idea. Going back to the current board's right to sit at the top table, it is simply due to their backers having the most shares, ergo the most money. It is the money men who have messed up this club IMHO and they will continue to ride roughshod, unless and until they are ousted. I honestly and sincerely hope and pray every time that I think of this club that I love, that they will prove me wrong, however they have a habit of not. Maybe it is a crazy idea to some to have fans on the board, but why not try it? Back on track, I still say btf.
  5. Already got 1 in the bag tonight, so if Liverpool, Inter and Barce win the Milky Bars will be on me.
  6. You want spooky? Check this out and it's just off the M27 near the airport; I keep meaning to go down and investigate, but no way am i going on my own, just in case it IS a UFO landing site.
  7. b, you are making me and I am guessing yourself too, blush. For that reason i am going to retire to bed and try to get a good nights sleep, I have a busy day tomorrow and want to up before midday.
  8. I'm sure that they have a name for it, when someone has a bolt through the end of the end of their bell?
  9. FFS! You lot have got Dutch things on the brain. Back on track for a moment, I really do think that btf would be ideal for the position. In her line of work I bet she is used to working with intimdating, egotistical so-and-so's too, so wouldn't need any Dutch courage.
  10. I was gonna try to go the whole season without doing an away game, but Forest might be just too scintilating IMO. I would guess that there won't be a safe motorway service station that evening. Some very disgruntled fans will be tetchy to say the least.
  11. /\ British Bulldog anyone. Are kids allowed to play that nowadays I wonder?
  12. Only one way to settle this......
  13. Freud might deduce from your comment that you want to bite into my cheesey bell. I know you well enough to know that you prefer clean ones, yes?
  14. be careful btf, the word police are everywhere.
  15. Corrrected that for you btf, just like the eggs.
  16. Or scurrying up a wee ladder
  17. You flatter me j. But yes, I see where you are coming from. I could be the 'Lawrie' to BTF's 'Mary Corbett', but in my little world I would have her playing Harry Corbeett with her .... ...... .. .. ....
  18. Surely preferable to listening to a current smoker, phlegming up and wheezing away.

  23. Is this the start of the Echo's 'Give Rupert Bloody Red Nose Day' campaign?
  24. Does it tell the reader how to esacpe from their evil clubcard clutches? or would that be called something else?
  25. Avtually Bridgey, you are pretty level headed and articulate and good with words and stuff. Would you fancy it?
