Sales teams don't need to like each other..... They are pitted against each other 99% of the time. You'll get more out of someone that wants to take the grin off of the "top" boys face that you will have them collecting seas shells together in the middle of the forest.

I agree completely and without doubt the worst thing about Junior football is the "Un-Partisian" linesmen (The Dads) which can ruin games and cause wars. The discipline is down to the Manager and that includes over the parents as well. Things will always get heated, but if it happens on a regular basis or crosses the line of what you consider acceptable, take you kid off or out of the club. I will always remember one six aside tournament, where I used to give the reigns over to the Dads to run the team and all hell broke loose during the match with two mums on the side squaring up to each other. One mum screamed her innocence bu claiming "I didn't call him a ***** b@stard, I called him a fat b@stard..... We called the players off the pitch and that was that..... they were 9 at the time.

My lad was there 2 times and left both times as he didn't enjoy it. We probably had 4 or 5 others that either went through the six week evalution or joined on a permanent basis, only to be released one, two or three years later. It's certainly different, but these guys are the best around , so if you get the chance take it, but be prepared for a shock when they come out. This is going back 3 - 10 years, so as with everything things change. However the most soul destroying thing is watching a player that (As an example) went into the academy ay 13 was released at 15 and (Without exception) is behind the standard of his old team mates and will struggle for a couple of seasons. I would say Ive seen this 5 out of 5 times, so it's not always the best thing for everybody.

Haha I can hear allen screaming and swearing from here.

I'm not sure what "At all costs" covers. But the thirst and drive to win and win everything should be applauded, not critiisied. That's football.

It varies enormously and depends on age groups and the teams ambitions. The reality is that in any league and age group (Especially Div 1) there will only be two or three teams battling for the silverware. In the lower age groups, the kids have a natural fitness, so the focus is better spent on teamwork, discipline and (To a lesser extent) ball work, that obvioulsy changes as they get older, but the trick is as a parent, is the ability to be objective, in line with what your kid actually wants out of his football. Loads of great coaches, loads of poor ones and loads and loads and loads of unrealistic, uneducated and rosetinted glass wearing parents.

Is that to play or watch?

1) Can you guarantee that the PFA will NOT be allocated the parachute payments and in turn support their members if the club is liquidated (And protect the football creditors rule)? 2) If the answer to that question is "Yes", is that the same Guarantee as the "No more points deductions" 3) You have said today that you are only guaranteed 425k in fees, in which you have only drawn down 200k to date and won't be able to recover the rest . Does that mean that all work for the last 3 months and subsequent work until the adminstration is over, is free of charge? 4) A number of players have said they haven't heard anything from you regarding compromise agreements - Can you explain? 5) Why didn't you send Norris and Varney off on loan when they were wanted by other clubs towards the end of the season and do deals similar to the Henderson one, where the club is contracted to buy them when the window opens? 6) It would seem that the players are prepared to compromise, but this isn't acceptable to Chainrai, With the players offering deals surely it is now Chainrai that needs to be pressured into a compromise? 7) You seem to continually change the amount of time left to liquidation, is this likely to change again? How come then club have made two appointments and then less that a week later announced the chance of additional redundancies and potential liquidation? 9) Stuart Gray was the first team coach and made redundant, less than six months later you have employed a new first team coach - Is this legal? 10) Gordon Taylor said that there were other football debts other than the players wages. Can you confirm how much these are and whether SFC is one of those creditors.

Oldredeye is scott from the pompey supporters trust. The problem he has is todays interview from Taylor blows his arguments out of the water and is the opposite of what he has been preaching for months on there. In my opinion, today has seriously wounded the trust (And they were already on the side of the road, bleeding and gasping for air before today). They are the one player in all of this without any leverage (With the exception of emotional blackmail). The ball is back in Chinnys court, he just has to decide if he wants to play anymore.

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/all-parties-need-to-accept-losses-if-pompey-are-to-survive-taylor-1-4088633 LOl... This one doesnt seem to have an author. Some very selective quoting and paraphrasing in that article.

Absolutely. We have now had the first official confirmation that they players can have some of the parachute money and that the PL have agreed with the PFA..... But the new owner doesnt want this.... No **** sherlock. Perhaps just as intresting, that the amount of money owed to other football clubs means that if al the players ripped up their contracts, there would still be issues............ two days after Dean Saunders can't keep a player he wants, because another club have come in for him, that they can't get anywhere near the offer he has had from the other club.

We are not so much asking them to walk away, more walk away with their heads held high

Well looks like TBH is ready to do a deal, but Birch has to match it. I have to say, it would be my opening gambit if I was him as well, but a chink of light for the blue few that a deal could be done. The problem is, if one person (Kanu) refuses to budge, it's hard to see how the others will, knowing that one of their colleagues is getting full whack. Come on then Birch...... How much of a compromise are you willing to take on your fees...

Chelsea take this one step further.... They have what is effectively a computerised vending machine. Based on the analysis of the urine, the machine will dispense a drink made up of the right vitamins, iron etc etc. for that particular player...... and then there is the swimming pool with adjustable height and xray machines built into the walls of the swimming pool

http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/appy-pleads-with-players-not-to-let-pompey-die-1-4082330 appy's taken to begging. Last week, the news was still stating they would get all of their defferal money, but over a period of time. The Mullins bit proves what we all knew, that isn't the case. Part of the problem is that it was birch who asked them to take the deferals in the first and probably safe to assume, he assured them they would get it back when everything was sorted.

The only update we've had was Scudamore evading the question, but then confirming that the Parachute payments, could be diverted to pay football creditors. I think the players are covered.
-
I tell you what, there's no flies on old trev.... Sharp as knife that bloke. Should be an intresting conversation when he explains to his boss, that liabilities have gone up since he took the reigns. Sterling work agent Birch, take your seat next to Peter.... No not that one, that's where Al Farahj is sitting

Its actually worse than you have shown it Qwerty. They are not having their 20p reduced to 2p in the pound. They are having 2p of their 20p, which equates to 0.4p. If you were owed a million before you would have got 200k.... that 200k, is now 4 grand.

West Ham fan give his view on their forum;

Moore_hurst Posted on 20/07/2012 10:56 A sick dog Report Message | Email Message To A Friend | Reply To Message

Appleton_out.... I don't know why you are so bitter, I can only assume that you applauded and enjoyed your club winning the fa cup with players that caused this problem. If you hadn't bought the defoes, James's, Diarras, muntaris you wouldn't have won the cup and you wouldnt be about to go extinct owing millions, so stop whining act like an adult and accept that if you applauded winning the facup and the days in the sunshine you have to also accept this mess and ultimately Appleton, you are also to blame. Oh and can I just say, to see people on here slagging off kanu, the man of the match on your biggest day in recent history is extraordinarily two faced. Regarding Henderson, let's see if he's better than green, I do hope so! Oh and a final word, avram grant, what a talentless lump of anal wart that exemplifies everything that is bad in the world. Quite possibly the worst manager ever to grace the world of football. How that scumbag can look at himself is beyond me

It's the perfect question, although the blue few won't have a clue what you are on about, but obviously shows the contridiction to the statement on their web site yesterday. I think Hatch might have been right yesterday. This could be the beginning of the end. I always thought that they would scrape through with Chinny at the helm, but now I am not so sure.
