  1. Ahhh, bless the pst. Whatever the highly confidential stuff is about their bid that they can't discuss, it must be good....or not. Chinny's bid is on the all they have to do, is to better that. But preferably with cash as opposed to pledges. I don't know how this will ultimatley play out, but I'll bare my arse on the town hall steps if the trusts bid comes to anything.
  2. Yep.... Certainly a twist. So Baker Tilley sueing on behalf of the 2010 creditors - Is that why they agreed to the latest CVA? Who knows, can't think it changes much, but intresting to hear that Sacha might be skint. That's a few million quids worth he has let go there.
  3. Scudamore has stated, that the PL can settle football creditors debts by witholding the parcahute payments. I might be looking at this in the wrong way, but that sounds to me like they will withold the PP's the pay any football creditors and hence uphold the FCR.
  4. Not at all sir, not at all
  5. 4) The PFA
  6. Sorry Trousers...... THIS IS THE NUTSHELL OF THE DAY Sit tight pompey players - You are covered for the full amount :) :)
  7. Pretty much exactly that.... Not that they could sack for him for not tunring up, but even if they did he would obviously claim for the full amount of deferred wages owed to him (Which is what he is doing anyway ) Addditionally he may be owed some money from the first CVA (Not sure on my dates with that one). He will be fine.
  8. Oh I don't know oldnick..... That still leaves, Kitson Lawrence, Husklep, Halford and TBH and don't write Kanu off just yet, I've got a feeling he won't be going anywhere for a while
  9. Just a quick note of thanks to appy, for making me laugh on such a miserable day. I don't know if they have coaching on this sort of thing down there, but they say these things with such conviction, it's almost as if they actually believe in what they are saying. Anyway, it looks like they will be saying their goodbyes to Varney and Norris in the next couple of days. I wonder how much harder it will be to get them to negotiate on their deferred wages from afar. No local press to put pressure on them, not around the fans in the street demanding they save the club, no contact with the administrator who keeps threatening to liquidate the club if they don't give up their money and no more having to meet the manager who is determined to uphold the integrity of football contracts..... I am sure that trev will see them right.

  11. It will be intresting to see how "Tough" appleton is going to be..... If they **** kanu off too much, he might insist on all his money.
  12. That makes sense. The renumeration committe would have set certain goals / objectives linked to bounuses
  13. And thats where it goes back to being funny. That can't come down hard on him, because that will only further his cause to get everything that is owed and owing to him and if one person doesn't accept a compromise, the other players won't. Probably also worth noting that in addition to the club already being in breech of contract with Kanu - There might be an argument that Birch and Allens public condemnation of the players who are asking for what is owed to them, have made it unsafe for these players to be in the area. Its a mute point anyway - As per above, the last thing they want to do is **** him off.
  14. Whether the bill was paid or not is irrelevant - The cost of building the stadium was 32 million. As for Aviva, they did lose out and not really something we should be proud of, but they have just picked up another 4 million quid from us, as part of the settlement agreement meant we (Liebherr) had to pay an additional one off payment of 4 million if we made it back to the prem within 5 years I would imagine that they got about 10 million from 13 million that Markus paid for the club, this one off payment of 4 million, plus however many years of the mortgage payments (Rumored to be 1.5 million a year). As a guess, they probably got back half of what they lent us.
  15. I would say the opposite and in true pompey style, they have probably outbid crawley. There is no reason why he wouldn't sign now if it was Crawley and he says that he has been talking to them for a while and will join them next week............ It reeks of the blue few.
  16. One of the main reasons pompey are in such a mess is the series of dumb buys that have made over the years. Seems they are going to make another one http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/pompey-welcome-four-new-faces-to-training-1-4036125
  17. 6.49? Where are you travelling from? Ohh and if you can get a season ticket for 400 quid, that's cheaper than a tube pass. Granty is your man... he used to have to go into Waterloo and then back out to Clapham
  18. Trolling? Dont be stupid. He has done a great job for us, but he isnt premier. He was the player that woke up the morning after our promotion, after a night of celebrating, with a minging hangover and then realised he wasn't going to be a part of it.
  19. I'd be surprised to ever see Hammond in a Saints shirt again
  20. He scored with his left foot He scored with his right And when we played utd He scored all ******* night
  21. What a stupid thing to say and no we couldn't.
  22. I'm lying in Southampton General waiting for a date next week for a coronary bypass operation. Had a 'small' heart attack Tuesday morning and was brought in thinking it might be indigestion but blood tests showed otherwise. Angiogram yesterday showed all three coronary arteries almost blocked in several places do a bypass is the only realistic long-term solution. I've never smoked but I had got overweight and not eaten particularly sensibly and diabetes had set in. Used to get home and have dinner too late, worked too much in the evenings so please all of you, eat sensibly, sort out your lifestyles and don't think it won't happen to you. This is what Whitey Grandad posted on another thread. Don't need a love in, but far to many Saints vs Saints on this board. Get better Whitey .....looking forward to reading the bollcoks you spout very shortly ;);)
  23. That is the third email response I have seen from Gordan Taylor and everyone he has failed (Is it deliberate?) to answer the direct question as to whether they will cover the players claims in the case of liquidation or even go after the parachute payments. We are all guessing, but my money is on the PFA doing their part in the press, to save the club, but they will go after the PP's and cover the players if the club is liquidated. As we know that this also covers the first CVA, that means there is a lot of football creditors to get through, in a short period of time. If the FL let them sign a single player, then we will know that a deal has been done and they will be ok.
  24. A curve ball from from Mr Taylor straight to the feet of the "Nutjobs". I think the problem is that this whole thing is such a mess and the parachute payments only cloud the issue even further. The dynamics remain intriguing and this isn't the game of "Who blinks first" as some have suggested on here. Chinny always had the upper hand, but allowed Birch to and co to convince him that the trust could come up with enough cash to satisfy him and buy him out. That quite cleary isn't going to happen now and confirmation from fanshawe that no formal bid has been made and can only be done when all the high earners leave and past and present football creditors accept a minimum reduction of 2/3rds of what they are asking for means it simply is a non runner. It doesnt take much scratching beneath the surface to work out tha their bid equates to 1 or 2 million (Whatever the total is) in exchange for 14 million parchute payments.... it doesn't fly. Chanrai's is not much different than that with the exception of the fact that he COULD fund things until the pp's were paid. Now whilst footballers aren't the smartest species on the planet, they will know all about the PP's so they aren't walking away with 2/3rds reduction. Additionally these amounts also include the first admins football creditors, so think of people like Paul Hart and Sol Campbell...... they won't be accepting a compromise. A final thought is that we know that Huslkepp etc were bought on installments..... So if there are clubs with outstanding football debts.... They certainly won't be accepting a reduction. My best guess is that Chinny will take over, the PP's will go to the football creditors and chinny owns the club to sell on and gets 5 million or so back that way.
