  1. Wind your neck in Tevez...... Oh sorry you already have
  2. As for whether the op from the echo post is ITK Cortese has been given a place on the board of the parent company, which suggests the Liebherr's are very happy with Cortese. As for his transfer record being a joke - Woudl that be the transfer record that landed Jos, Rodriguez, Sharp etc and got top dollar for Chamberlain? Oh and It was 70 million for getting into the Prem, not the 50 million, which subsequently went up (To 80 something I think) when the new TV contracts were awarded.
  3. Ahh, another Cortese thread :) I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that we as a club are incredibly difficult to deal with and Cortese in particular is a nighmare and that deals fall through, when we don't play ball or the goalposts move. Long may it continue.
  4. Anything over 20 million or so and there's not a chance of keeping it quiet. The 15% is not right, but you can buy their financial advisers services, which are incredibly expensive. (6 figures) The UK lottery is now the most succesful lottery in the world (Not sure of the criteria) and is now owned by the Ontarion Teachers Pension Fund
  5. The trust said they will be looking to collect the money between September and December. The irony regarding being your redemption, is there is real chance they could actually be your ultimate downfall. The problem regarding your identity is that you refuse to acknowledge who you really are. IF the trust take over (I really just can't see it) then you will be a self sustaining football club, with four years worth of comprimise agreements and a CVA to honour, based on crowds that will average to start with between 12 - 14k every other week, that will plummit when the results go against you, when the only players you will be able to sign will be everybody elses castoffs and when it no longer an option to outbid other clubs - Throw that all in the mix and it looks like a midtable - league one or two side and that's the reality that most pompey fans refuse to comprehend. Here and now the trusts figures don't add up and are dependant on the players reducing the compremise agreements again, but put that to one side, it would be hilarious if they do take over and will hamstrung the club for next few generations, ensuring, Myself, my kids and my grandkids (10 years away at least (I hope)) will live out our days as the ONE team in Hampshire.
  6. Been doing this for too long now, but one of my favorite away games ever. Something horribly English about celebrating defeat, but today, I am going to indulge. Mancinini tactically butt fooked by Adkins on national tv. Saints fans were pure quality and the lamberts goal was as mental a celebration as I can remember. Toe to toe with Champions and their arses were squeaking. Watching Kompany (one of the worlds best centre halfs) hoofing the ball into nowhere as Sharp came steaming in was quality. We are back, we mean business and enjoy.
  7. ‘I said to Trevor “do me a favour, discard bonuses, NI, all those things you do in a normal budget and just tell me exactly what I can spend gross figure per week and I’ll get on with the rest by it Old Appy really does fit in well done their
  8. Neil Allen ‏@pn_neil_allen Last week Portpin slashed their proposed £4m #Pompey budget for Appleton to £1.5m. Contradicts those claims of Portpin ambition. More later. Quite right Neil and so they they should
  9. Come on the Chinny A few words from the past 8 weeks may come back to haunt you Mr Birch...... And they are all your very own. Time to call an emergency partner meeting at PKF :lol:
  10. Another 10 days. Would liove to meet up... We were in Marbella yesterday ( Puerto Banus is a must) and we are based in fungerolia which I think is near Benalmadena. Will get your number through the kids and text you.
  11. B+ my arse. I defy any onther football forum in the world to come up with that last line given the context of what has / happened / happening Great Uncle Trevor Bulgaria is trying to recycle some old sh!t and stitch someone up with OriNewco. Last four words are possibly your finest Rallyboy.... but the I am ****ed in Marbella
  12. Ha ha - You should know better than posting a valid link on here and then getting a sarky response. Certainly an intresting link between the orginal story and then what appears to be oldknows connections, but can't see Cortese selling anything to oldknow.
  13. LOL - If Cortese didn't have control over the club and sanctioned 15 million pounds worth of spending he would be sacked in a nano second (As would any CEO in any other business) At the point in which we had made the prem and the 33m loan note was converted into equity, the club became very saleable. I thought at the time, that if the Liebherrs were going to sell then that would be the perfect time. Since then we have continued to invest in players (You could argue, that we are simply in line with the additional Prem money) and the carrot of the new stadium plans, coupled with the development at Staplewood, suggests they are here for a while. That doesn't mean it we are not for sale, but even if we are Cortese isn't selling his baby to "oldknow" or oldknows mates (See Turkishes post).
  14. Checking in on holiday - Worthy nutjob But then holidays are for fun, entertainment and relaxation and therefore this thread is a pre-requisite. I expect a couple of pages for when i crack open the red tonight, sit on the balcony, nursing my sunburn and catch up on todays events. I am likening TBH to Davis in goal away to Leeds - Stay strong TBH AA - Chinny - Birch - TBH - intriguing - I can't work out the dynamics of AA / TBH against Chinny.
  15. The gossip from the blue side is that Lawrence is staying to play for them next season :scared: I tried to dig a little deeper and from what I could work out the source is his other half (Now of course the bloke that told me could just be pulling my chain) Have to say I am a little confused.
  16. His winner against Liverpool - One of the largest roars I ever heard at the Dell.
  17. Completely separate. This was the secured debt from the first CVA. He owns the land outright
  18. It's 4 million. It was payable in two, two million payments; One was due in April, the other due in August. Neither paid to date
  19. http://www.soyouwantto.co.uk/southamptoncentralbaths.html
  20. The length of the pool was certainly not deliberate. It was 1. something millimetres short, of being an Olympic sized pool and hence the inability to hold proper tournaments. (One of the main reasons it was built). But it had many redeeming features, not least the windows, which could provide hours on entertainment for young teenage boys who from the pool would still find their 10,000 moon as funny as their first and from outside the pool would appreciate the girls who choose to swim in Bikini's and jump from anything higher than the second board.
  21. Assumming that is correct (I happen to think it it incredibly optomistic) I am sure Lawrence, TBH, Kitson and Kanu (Noted you have made any allowance for him) Will be delighted to hear there is an 8 million pound pot floating about.
  22. Yep it's taken a few hundred thousand posts, but the 3,000 is execellent ( I am assumming that indidvidually its about 2,000 and the 6 HNW guys make up a million or so). Only problem now is collecting them. And probably worth bearing in mind they need 3 new pledges a day, for every day that Birch is there.
  23. Nabil Hassan ‏@NabilHassan79 The #pompey supporters trust (PST) have called a press conference for Thursday where they are set to announce new backers for their bid Ohhhhhhhhh new backers as well - Come on arry
  24. With the possible exception of marc Jackson, to hear Storries name mentioned in ANY capacity, will make me wee myself wherever I happen to be. I don't think even this thread could be so kind.
