Wouldn't rule the chelsea job out of that equation.... only Di Matteo went and fooked it all up
  2. Ha ha ...top stuff holepuncture. I know that Rallyboy, will chip in now he's had a picture of uncle avram and that industrial unit, to remind him.
  3. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/birch-no-pompey-signings-until-players-depart-1-3942146 Is it me? There is no registration embargo.... They just won't let us sign any players
  4. Change the title to six Directors .... but obviously just leave the five characters
  5. Actually no, not the way that we did. But back on topic. Ice Cream Anyone??? http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/could-al-fahim-get-involved-at-pompey-again-1-3943137
  6. Whilst I was not a lowe fan, I can't agree with that. I admit it never felt like it at the time (With the exception of the cup final and Romania) but we acheived something (For a sustained period of time) that other clubs would have died for. We were a self fiananced mid table team in one of the top teams in the league. Lowe wasn't prepared to borrow and chase the dream. Michael Wilde was and the rest is history. As it happens I wouldn't change a single thing and the ultimate outcome and last three years of football (results) have been the best in my lifetime, with the potential of going even further. Anyway, to get it back on topic..........They are still ****e, they are still skint and they are still fooked.
  7. Where is Dos Santos going to play ??
  8. Ha ha, lowe himself said the very same thing to me. If that comes over as a "dubaiphilism" my apologies, I only ever met him once and it was a little uncomfortable for all concerned, but the opportunity arose on a train and he couldnt go anywhere, so he got 50 questions. He mentioned what was going on down the road (This was nearly 18 months ago) and how he hoped that given their issues some Saints fans appreciated some of the things that had been done in his time, that had given us the oppurtunity of coming back so strongly.... He was actually a nice bloke.
  9. I would imagine (This is just a guess) that the 3.5k was his basic, with appearance, assist, goal and win bonuses to be added and that by the end of the season that looked something like 10k a week.
  10. There will come a time when the laughs dry up.......... but we are not there yet. The care in the community internet access package, gave the few a chance to win 30k..... Which after mass coverage on their os, local papers and message boards, they duly did. Now the club have turned round and said they had already factored in winning, into the season ticket prices :) .... They are not very appy Only at Pompey could the club winning £30,000 through the efforts of its fans end up being a little bit of a PR own goal. In itself the the club's intention to use the money to offset new season ticket prices - if 5,000 fans buy them that's £6 off per fan ticket - wouldn't have been a bad one. Except fans buying season season tickets never got to see that discount. In reality this money was won after the season ticket prices had been set at the end of May. The nPower 'Fanpower' contest had been clogging up Pompey fans' twitter and facebook timelines for a good couple of months. No matter. The ends justified the means. But the official site statement that it has been 'factored in' to the prices simply means that £30,000 will go into the general club coffers. That money, earned by fans' efforts, could have been so much better spent. £30,000 would 'buy' 400 children's season tickets at £75 to be given away free with an adult purchase. Or it would buy 30,000 'Kids for a Quid' tickets to be given away free instead to schools and colleges. The list could go on of more imaginative schemes than those two to get young people involved in supporting Pompey. They are the fans of the future, after all. In the short-term the £30,000 may well be vital to the club's on-going survival battle. Administrator Trevor Birch has a tough job to simply keep the show on the road, so his decision is respected. But it is to be hoped by the start of the season, the club will have been sold, putting it on a firmer financial footing. So, whether its the Pompey Supporters' Trust, Balram Chainrai or someone else completely who end up owning the club then, I would urge a re-think of this decision. Give the power to the fans to decide how this money should be spent. That would be a good bit of PR to kick things off...
  11. The opening ceremony is costing 27 million quid. Part of the reasoning behind it was, how could they match or beat Bejing? And the answer was that they simply couldn't, so have gone for something completely different. It will be stunning.
  12. It will be fantastic - I am 100% confident. There is an interview on the BBC site talking about how they came up with the concept.
  13. Some intresting stats on there regarding passes..... Ox doesn't come out of it too well, if you consider his role as an attacking midfielder (Although I realise that doesn't tell the whole story) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18395631
  14. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/no-kranjcar-windfall-for-pompey-after-kiev-switch-1-3938604 Nice one Mr Storrie, I mean, think of the hassle and extra paperwork it would have caused  For all the twists and turns in this whole saga, the one constant is "Our Peter". He's never let the nutjobs down.
  15. Ouch! Sometimes it's better not to know

  23. Nipper and his mates have gone out to the Ukraine (6 of them) and met up with another group of Saints fans out there. They went to the England hotel, this morning, but couldn't get past secuirty, so booked themselves into the hotel spa and had a massage Ended up spendng their time with the England team + pundits Steve Clalridge very complementary about Saints and Adkins. Rooney and Gerrard spent time to have pictures done. Look out for a big Saints flag tomorrow.
