The illegal deal, which triggered the current Krajbanka situation took place back in mid-August, 2011. Neither the Financial and Capital Market Commission (FCMC), nor Krajbanka board members could have noticed that, Janis Brazovskis, deputy chairman at the Financial and Capital Market Commission, told LNT broadcast 900 sekundes. According to him, there is only one copy of the deal and it has not been registered in Krajbanka accounting records. “Mr Prieditis did not inform anyone about the existence of such a document,” Brazovskis says. “Mr Prieditis told me that it was meant as a temporary solution, practically, for a couple of days, in order to ensure funds for other Antonov’s projects. Krajbanka President hoped that it would be possible to recover the money,” he adds. Brazovskis explains that Antonov needed money, because the FCMC had asked to increase the bank’s capital. Another reason could be the take-over of the car concern SAAB. As to the chronological sequence, on November 17, the FCMC imposed limitations that only LVL 100 000 could be withdrawn from a single account. “If the sum had be smaller, it would have meant recognition of unavailability of deposits and we would have had to launch the guaranteed deposits fund immediately. The idea was to shake off the fuss around the situation,” he says. According to him, on November 18, the FCMC asked Krajbanka to accumulate its free assets on another account, which was not done and, therefore, it was concluded that the bank simply did not have the money. Brazovskis explains that the funds that have been transferred to another bank are owned by Krajbnaka, but it has established a financial pledge. “This should not have been done. Krajbanka does not have any documents proving the pledge, therefore, it has asked other banks to send the documents. One bank has already responded – the term of the pledge comes into force in mid-December, while the deal was signed on August 11. Starting from today 9.00, physical persons will have four days to withdraw 50 lats. BNN already reported, payment of guaranteed deposits to Latvijas Krajbanka clients might need about LVL 350 million, Irena Krumane, head of the Financial and Capital Market Commission, told Latvian Television. The guaranteed sum of deposits totals 100 000 euro (LVL 70 000) per person. Krumane fears the guarantees will be paid out, because Krajbanka is in a really bad situation and she has nearly lost any hope it could restart operating. However, she adds that we still need to look forward to the decision of the Lithuanian government to see what it intends to do with Krajbanka parent bank – Snoras. Funds will be drawn from the Deposit Guarantee Fund, which is made up by payments by banks. At the moment, LVL 149 million are available in the fund, while the rest of the necessary money will be borrowed from the State Treasury, not taken from the state and tax payers. When Krajbanka assets are sold, the loan will be repaid. Tax payers money will not be used to bail out the bank, she says http://bnn-news.com/illegal-krajbanka-deal-place-mid-august-41867

I had a phone call on the day we appointed him from a work colleague, who I had no idea was a Scunny fan. "Congratulations you have just hired one of the best English managers in the Country" I felt slightly better after that, but was still underwhelmed by the whole thing and had been a big fan of Pardews and felt considerably worse after the going to his first game at MK dons. It wasn't over night, but slowly but surley he imposed himself on the team and proved himself and then a bit more and then a bit and then a bit more etc etc. He has one box left to tick for me and that is transfers, which may be harsh as we don't know what budgets he has or indeed if he wants to strengthen the first team or simply add back up, but given where we are today, January will be the trickest part of managerial career to date. But if any of you read the article on the BBC (Adkins Diet - I think) then his stats from his very first managerial post, to today are simply incredible (And that includes a relegation) and so may be we shouldn't be so surprised. He has a BIG future infront of him, if he wins us promotion, then bigger clubs (If they are not already) will be sniffing around, if he keeps us up in the Prem and has a couple of decent top half finishes and gains some experience of working with top end players, then he would be a genuine candidate for the England job..... I suspect his name is already pinned to some succession plan at Lancaster gate

I think my favorite line from that article is; The shortfall in Snoras’s assets may be more than the initial 300 million-euro ($405 million) estimate, central bank governor Vitas Vasiliauskas said today. “We thought it was flu, but now it’s looking like cancer,” he said

Ipswich away. No question. -
Floridamarlin does it far more justice than I could and you can sense his passion for the place. It is actually very hard to to articulate, what an incredible place it is and anyone who has the chance to go, should. Don't worry about what religion you are or aren't, it will still have a profound affect on you. Oh and dune, put a skullcap on and go upto the wailing wall.

I am pretty sure that one of the updates to the FAPPT was that it could be retrospectively applied, as in if found guilty, they could remove him as owner. That in itself, is no real biggie, you could just put another front man up. As for us (This board) thinking chinny is still in charge, that's twisting what has mostly been said. Chinny came out and said he was getting paid over a period of time - Installements. The natural asumption from that would be, he would have some sort of charge over the club until the installemnts are met. You and your lawyers friends, went through all the legal documentation with a fine tooth and concluded thsi was not the case. A couple of posters on a rivals forum, seem to find that wasnt the case and posted a link suggestig portpin does infact have a charge..........So if antonov's predicament prevents him making the next series of installments, then chinny might come back on the scene...... And i am sure no one on here would find that remotely funny.

Morning corp..... getting a tad nervous yet? Or is Antonov, just a misunderstood, victim of circumstances. Two separate goverments, will there be a third, fourth or fifth? Has your mate, that is ITK and close to all the right people heard from Vladamir? I'm sure it's all just a misunderstanding.

Not quite folded.... Lets just say, "Taken away from him" I suspect we might see a couple more of his financial companies go the same way, until there is a massive bun fight for the assets. Peter Storrie, with his 25 years of footballing experience could surely earn a days consulting, advising them on the value of portsmouth. Sour mash, your post suggesting this thread should be closed was a million miles out. This is potentially as bad as where they originally were. I am not sure what use the lithuainian goverment has with English football club saddled with debt and a huge wage bill.

I went last year and one of the most amazing / bizarre trips I have ever done and would recommend it 100% If you havent booked your flights yet, fly from Luton on Easy Jet and save over 500 quid. Don't be alarmed at the questioning or on being detained on the way in, these guys are paranoid, but once you have done the tours or spoken to the locals, you get to understand why. They have been attacked by so many different fractions over the years, that everyone is a suspect. Still not sure what my passport triggered off, but was hauled away and asked to list every country i had visted in the last 5 years (I travel a lot for work and have a shocking memory) but produced a list and they came back demanding to know why I had left out Canada and what was I doing there..... Canada...WTF??? Oh and if anyone knows how they knew that, I would be very grateful. A 50 min ordeal that had me owrried, but they thanked me and let me in. I wouldnt hire a car, the City itself is very accessible and for trips to Jerusalem etc, then there is a direct train (If the concrete has set yet) or plenty of coach trips.... GET A GUIDE, if you do nothing else, just get a guide. There is a story and reason behind everything they do or see and the history is complex. A one on one guide will cost you about 300 quid for the day, but there are plenty of group trips that will make it cheaper . Make sure you new the new and old cities of jerusalem. A truly amazing trip, that will throw up more questions than it answers and a real insight into country torn apart by war, but bonded by religion. My guide explained how the peace treaty / agreement with the pallistinians was 95% agreed and infact walls and divdes have started to be built, but will never be finished, the last 5% agreement will never happen and is ultimatley the most significant part of the whole deal..... all this in a Muslim state! The only down side to the whole trip was the flight back. Exactly the same issues as the way in, followed by my laptop testing positive for explosives(It was a complete set up) lots of alarms and screamming security people and well, I will leave the rest to your imagination. My lap top and I didnt fly home together and later found out this is actually quite common, so if it happens to you stay calm, even when you are in the little room with just your boxers on :) Enjoy, it will be an amazing trip

This thread is of course missing Hughe's goal against Leeds, at The Dell, that hit the advertising board and came out.....no goal

A friend gave Ken a lift home from Villa about 3 months after that and I asked Monkou if Rennie ever apologised or explained why.... Ive never seen such a calm, reasoned bloke explode so quickly..... some intresting words and phrases, that would see you or I given life bans if we ever used them at a match. Ken = Top bloke

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15804993.stm We've pretty much all grown up with him reading the results. He was so good, you could almost work out the second part of any result, based on his pitch.

Well I laughed. Actually quite clever for the blue few. Apparently got it's first airing yesterday. http://fansonline.net/portsmouth/mb/view.php?id=387984
