    Balotelli

I think so, I do remember some small little club knocking 6 past them once before though.
  2. Of course for the important games or the last minute winners etc, but just feels very different at the moment...... and long may it continue. Nothing compares to celebrating on the old terraces though
  3. Forget your clapping and cheering, we are now getting proper goal celebrations, with fans going mental for each goal. The video clip of our goal from the reading end, looks fantastic and was the same against derby. Those of you that dont go, won't have a clue what I am on about, but for those that do... has anyone else noticed it?
  4. They can't love without us, they can't live without uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuusssssssssssss The poor pompey pikeys can't live without us http://www.portsmouthfc.co.uk/LatestNews/news/Southampton-Tickets-2628.aspx Do you want to be at Fratton Park to see Pompey take on Southampton on December 18? Then make sure you don’t get left behind. A priority ticketing scheme is in place for the sale of seats for that match, based on attendance of three or more selected home games. Four of these matches have taken place already – so if you attended Reading, Cardiff, Blackpool or Peterborough, you only have two more opportunites to ensure you can qualify for the priority window. Pompey's matches against Barnsley (October 15) and Doncaster (October 22) are the remaining selected games. Members who have attended three or more of the above home games – and have been on the club’s database since last season or earlier – will be given the first opportunity to buy tickets for the south coast derby during a priority period between October 24 and October 26. Other members will then be able to buy tickets (subject to availability) on October 27 and October 28. Only one ticket can be purchased per member. Non-members who have attended three or more of the above games – and have been on the club’s database since last season or earlier – will then have a priority sale period on October 31 and November 1 (subject to availability), before tickets go on general sale on November 2 (again, subject to availability). Only one ticket can be purchased per person. To ensure the club’s database, including your record of attendance, is up to date, please ensure your details – along with those of people you may be buying tickets for – are given when purchasing tickets. Ticket sale dates: Monday, October 24: Members who have attended three or more of the above matches Tuesday, October 25: Members who have attended three or more of the above matches Wednesday, October 26: Members who have attended three or more of the above matches Thursday, October 27: Members only Friday, October 28: Members only Monday, October 31: Non-members who have attended three or more of the above matches Tuesday, November 1: Non-members who have attended three or more of the above matches Wednesday, November 2: General sale Please note: To purchase tickets for the Southampton match, supporters must have been registered on the club’s database since last season or earlier. Only one ticket may be purchased per member/person.
  5. It depends - Is it a job or is it a career? If it is just a job then it is down to you and you could ask to be paid, but if it is a career, then in today's World, you will just need to do it. Doesn't seem fair, but as you progress you will do a lot more unpaid hours than an extra one every day. However, if can work both ways and if you have stuck in a few hours of non paid overtime, when you need to leave early on a Friday or whatever, you have the right to ask.
  6. I hope someone from the Board of Directors at Preston saw his performance....... What fukcing idiot sanctioned the Chaplow sale for 50k

    Attendance

I know I'm going to get some stick for this but, when the margins of success and failure are so fine and the significant efforts made to get 0.00000001% (Diet, training regeime, kids schooling sorted out, wives made to feel at home etc.) extra out of the players, or little mind games to get some tiny advantage, or only watering the end of the pitch you are attacking or a players encouraging the fans to crank it up etc etc. we have to believe that it all helps..... So why oh why did they announce it during the game it was a record attendance. The West Ham fans were quiet and any fan that knows anything about football knew what was going to come back..... and right on cue, the whole West Ham end erupts into a minute or so's worth of singing. It came to nothing and we won.... but if that spurred them on by any tiny tiny tiny amount, it was a stupid thing to do and should have been left to the end of the game.

    UB40 to UB40

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-15348236 Such a shame 70 million records sold and they are bust. They made some fantastic music (Not all of it) and captured the mood of a generation. In a world today where one hit, makes you a millionaire, it seems wrong that such talented people who took their music across two, even three decades are left with nothing
  9. Adkins has shuffled his pack well this season, but still doesn't have a "Best midfield". He is alternating between Schniderlin, Hammond and Chaplow off the bench (Most times) with Cork starting. Hammond didnt have a great impact on Saturday (Primarily as he was playing further up the pitch than his preferred defensive midfield role). But I do think we will see changes tonight. I can see Chaplow starting again with Hammond. If Lallana doesnt start, then you might see all three (Morgan) I wouldnt be surprised to see Guly on the bench and Fox dropped in favour of Harding.
  10. I am assumming that this is a "Hampshire Police" decision, so it would seem strange if they didn't apply it to them as well. My only worry is that when there is trouble, it is very very rare for "Non" trouble makers to get caught up in it, but with just coaches as a target, it will attract all the wannabees and numbskulls that wouldnt dare go toe to toe or ever get invloved. We know from previous expereince, that they will chuck stuff at the coaches and whatever route the coaches take, they will at point, be open to some little scroat to chuck a rock at and run off, before old bill can get them. I can almost guarantee that by 6.00 on the 18th we will be reading about some poor kid who has been showered with glass after the coaches windows went through by a flying rock etc. If we win, you can make that plural.
  11. One if the most disgusting things, I have ever seen!
  12. Letters were sent out to out to "Away Season ticket holders" stating they would automatically get one and they wouldnt need to apply for the ballott and it then went on to explain about the coaches. I understand all the reasons why, but don't think this is necessary and will take away from the day itself.
  13. Who was it that football is a funny old game?? Why oh why do a decent, footballing side like forest want the under acheiving clotterill. To be honest I am gutted, as others have mentioned, not to have his 5.00 ramblings, will leave a big hole. Not to mention the fact that he just couldnt get a half decent squad going. I simply dont understand those, that think he has done a good job in difficult times. For me he has been shocking and acheived nothing more than the average fan from the stand could. I dont think this will do them any harm at all, infact, as much as it pains me, it could be the opposite.

  15. And there you go. The difference between a viable business aquisition and a roll of the dice gamble. The Saints takeover vs the 4 pompey ones. Yes of course they will want their money back and as of now, they will get a lot more. It is perhaps the reasons, that we were a viable (Albeit calculated risk) proposition, that would lead people to question the motives of those who have taken over pompey (Given their public declaration they are in it to make money) For 13 million pound you could buy a league one club, with a 10 point deduction, starting life in League one, with a limited squad. On the plus side, all debt was erased (Through the 13 million) there was fantastic infrastucture (Stadium, Training Ground, Property & Land) and the attendances were positive given the clubs position. For 17 million you could buy a Championship side, with 8 players, no training ground, an uncertified dump of an arena, 25 million pounds worth of debt (Over and above the 17 million paid) Arrendances that were falling quicker than a hoars knickers and subject to ongoing court cases, forensic accounting investigations and enquirys from the insolvency commission and for the cherry on top, the car park and key land is owned by someone else and a previous promise of all money owed under 2k to be repiad in full, has fallen on the russians lap. On the plus there is the some parchute money left and chinny came good on the 20 tv's. Now of course it helps if you have the money upfront, but so far the Liebhers have spent 24 million (As of last years accounts) to be where we are now. When you think that the Chamberlain deal (When fully paid) up is more than they paid for the club in the first place, then you can start to see the value of their investment. Even is they started sellling off players, the squad itself is worth 20 million, plus the land, Plus the houses, Plus the stadium, plus the training ground etc etc. I would say they are conservatively 20 million quid up so far (Probably a little bit more) plus they have a real chance of more than doubling that with their current squad, plus a couple more as loans or January. I said of course it helps if you have the money upfront and based on chinnys squealing, the russians didn't like that idea, so have their spread purchase over installments. So they are now left with a club, with a small squad, 25 million ponds of debt, hovering above relegation, attendances still falling, firesales on merchandise and ticket offers, ongoing court cases, forensic accounting investigations and enquirys from the insolvency commission, plus, the car park and key land is still owned by someone else and likely they have to shell out on chinnys promise. With the money thrown in so far, they are bleeding money already and the chance of rolling that magic double six, that would get them to the prem money is nothing more than a pipe dream. Go ahead corpy - which one would you want
  16. Danish Saint, Do you know if our scouting network covers Denmark? I assume it does (And seem to recall someone posting a quote that we had a fantastic network in place) If you really think he is worth a look (And MOM against Portugal is no mean feat) then contact the club and find out who looks after Denmark etc. I think you be surprised how approachable they are. I had a friend who recommended or suggested we take a look at a Southport player to Nigel Adkins. Adkins knew all about this lad and how is already being watched, which I thought was quite impressive. I have also contacted Saints twice before over youngsters and both times they sent someone out and both times they took them on development courses.
  17. Well it looks like part of the fun for Saturday nights is about to go out of the window. I would swap the radio clip of clotterill being interviewed at 4.55pm on a Saturday, over any stand up comdieans out there.... he blows them out of the water. The BBC have comfirmed he is one of three being interviewed for the forest job (I'm one of those ones that still believe everything on the BBC) so even if he doesn't get it, his time at pompey is coming to an end (You can't go back for long, when you have either yourself shown a desire to move or your bosses have welcomed the approach) which is a crying shame and ironic that he'll be out, before any points deductions for the tax case...... It would have been the only time he had a genuine excuse, that it wasn't his fault. Then of course, there is still uncle avram... they couldn't - Could they???
  18. The insolvency commisions report and the forensic investigation, will be coming along nicely. There will be nothing to read in the press on the details for a long long time, if ever. But they will go after individuals. HMRC made that perfectly clear, when they provided an alternative CVA..... in fact they said it verbatim. Unless they uncover any offences that carry points deductions, then it shoudn't effect pompey the football club too much at all. I suspect that the outcome will be see Storrie being the fall guy and sasha avoiding these shores for a long time. pompey in all its different entities butt fooked HMRC publically, on numerous different occassions and they will have their revenge. It might not be in the form (Points deductions) that we would appreciate, but they will ge there. I wouldn't be surprised if storrie tenses up, everytime the doorbell rings already.
  19. He won't get sent down. Slapped wrist and a fine.
  20. Yep been there twice. It is a revamped version of what has been there for years. You get given a code word and if you shout that out, they take you out.... through a shoot that has a glass front where all the people waiting can see you have bottled it. There are people in the walls (literally) and it is pitch black and they touch you. I whacked one the first time and was escorted out.

    Bargain!!

Wrong. They can only do a 'cardholder not present" transaction with the security code from the back of the card..... which they dont have and is not on the receipt. Do you always just make stuff up to try and win an argument?
  22. Gemmel

    Bargain!!

There is no way they can re process your card details ...... they dont have them. Their receipt is all "xxxx" ed out. Hotels take your card details....pdq's don't.
