  1. We will see how popular he is once the pompey ticket criteria is released. ;)
  2. He swallowed his tongue. Where he ended up was pure luck This is third hand
  3. Ive heard a version of events today that suggest we are lucky to still have him.
  4. Pompey could face a ‘legal wrangle’ with Balram Chainrai over monies owed to small creditors. And David Lampitt has stated regaining the land owed by Sacha Gaydamak surrounding Fratton Park is a ‘priority’ to unlocking Pompey’s potential. Lampitt insisted the money promised to small creditor’s by Chainrai last year is not Pompey’s liability. Former Blues owner Chainrai said small creditors would receive 100 per cent of money owed to them by the club rather than the 20 per cent agreed in the Company Voluntary Agreement. However, that pledge has yet to be honoured. Lampitt said: ‘What was a positive gesture to pay 100 per cent of what they were owed rather than 20 per cent was a positive thing. ‘There was no deadline, but we are keen for it to happen as soon as possible. ‘I have to make it clear the debt and liability does not lie with the football club. ‘It frustrates me that we get some of the ill-will it creates. ‘We are part of the process, though. The nub of the problem is where the liability lies. That’s whether it’s the new owners who took over the company or the previous owners who made the gesture. ‘There is, I guess, a bit of legal wrangling to sort that situation out. ‘I’m trying to protect the position of the club and get the situation rectified. ‘There are legacy issues – this is one of them. We have to keep knocking them on the head. Creditors will be paid all their money, but we can’t guarantee when that will happen.’ Lampitt, speaking at a BBC Radio Solent forum at Fratton Park last night, also explained Gaydamak’s land would be key to Fratton Park’s future. He said: ‘The car park no longer belongs with the club. ‘Since Mr Gaydamak left the ownership of the club, that – and the land behind the North Stand – has stayed with him. ‘It’s the intention of the owners to get that land back. ‘It’s on our priority list because the potential it unlocks with the club is very significant to how we can take it forward. Nothing like playing your cards close to your chest And David Lampitt has stated regaining the land owed by Sacha Gaydamak surrounding Fratton Park is a ‘priority’ to unlocking Pompey’s potential Since Mr Gaydamak left the ownership of the club, that – and the land behind the North Stand – has stayed with him. ‘It’s the intention of the owners to get that land back. ‘It’s on our priority list because the potential it unlocks with the club is very significant to how we can take it forward. Don't worry Dave I'm sure that Sacha will let you have it for a fiver now..... just because you asked so nicely. Lets not even go into the contridiction that it is not the responsibility of the football club, only in his next sentance to acknowledge its all a legal wrangling and they don't know.
  5. Of all the "Body Art" (Which i find most of it horrible, but funny) the one i simply can't get my head around is these ...... I mean why ....just why? It's not as if it makes you better looking or more attractive.... it just makes you look like a mong
  6. I always expected Nineteen Canteen, to be a little older.
  7. Following on from the 9/11 thread from a day that changed the world, I was thinking what were the top 5 world events that have occured in my lifetime. Given the diversity of ages on here, it will be intresting to see who has been around for what and also what people conso as the most important. This isn't about your wedding day or the birth of your first child, but world events that have affected us all (Negatively or positivey). I suspect that my list could change on any given day, so before you all shout me down for not including some momentus occassion, like the end of the cold war etc. bare that in mind. As a 41 year old, in no particular order; 1) 9/11 - I think that speaks for itself. 2) Aids - No specific event or date, but as a child of the eighties, this new disease, that would kill us all if we weren't careful 3) Financial Meltdown - that we have all witnessed and has impacted all of our lives, one way or the other. 4) IRA ceasefire - From the continual threats and murders and never believing it could be resolved, to ultimately getting there. 5) Apartheid - The break up of apartheid and a real sense of "right overcoming wrong"

  14. pfc123 There is some truth in the part you mention about some posters going off on a tangent and grabbing at false straws, but I personally believe there are still unanswered questions, ongoing criminal court cases, Forensic investigations into the accounts and a review from the insolvency commision, that all need to be completed before we leave the abbatoir. For instance, if you read the wording below, I'm no lawyer, but surely if you voted in favour of the CVA, based on the fact that you would receive all your money (For claims under 2.5k) and that was the criereria of the voting, which is now not going to happen, then can they withdraw theri vote towards the CVA or is the vote null and void? Other questions, would be that Chanrai has claimed he is being paid over a period of time and is unsure of whether he will get all his money back - Does he still hold a charge or ownership over pfc until these are paid? and not so much a question, but one of the russians (Can't remember which one - it is on this thread), made two sweeping statements in a general interview; The first was that there was money to be made in football and if Roman Abromovich walked away tomorrow, he would have made millions out of it. That was closely followed by the statement that pompey are debt free........ Now my dog knows that both of these are total bolliacks and together with his checkered past, suggests things still dont add up. Subject to the approval of the CVA, Portpin Limited has undertaken to payall unsecured creditors with claims of up to £2,500 in full and to pay anyamounts owed to Charitable Organisations in full. Upon repayment, the claims of these creditors will be subrogated to Portpin Limited.

http://www.metro.co.uk/news/874435-muslims-against-crusades-plan-protest-in-9-11-minute-s-silence Makes me mad. Yes, there is an element of sensationalist journalism in there, but they will be there spouting their bile. I just don't understand why the Police let them, Inciting violence or whatever the charge is
  17. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/great-matches/pompey_will_lead_emergency_loan_window_scramble_1_3028531 Interesting updated list from Friday (Apologies for the source) Danny ****u anyone
  18. I have complete respect for the Police and dispair at the way the younger generation hold them in such contempt, but I stand by my comments on the previous thread that they actively encourage or incite trouble at football. I am afraid I have seen it too many times to put it down to incompetance and am not swayed by a cut and paste email. They have an incredibly hard job and deal with the dregs of society, maybe by allowing things to kick off, it makes it easier to pick out the worst ones and take them down, but if they really wanted to avert these types of confrontations they could...... they just choose not to and people will have to work out why for themselves.
  19. The thread on the ugly says that attendees have to sign a confidentiallity agreement (No idea if that is trur or not) and suspect if that is the case the OP is honouring that.
  20. That Twitter is absolute cobblers regarding salaries etc.... unless cortese is lying I listened to an interview with Eddie Howe saying Cork left because there was no way they could match our personal terms which were way above burnleys ceiling cap.
  21. It's an intresting one. Yes the guy is an arse (I listened to some of it last night) but some people need to remember where bournemouth were before he came in. They have very nearly been closed down about 3 times and since he has been there they have been promoted (Vey nearly twice) and now have financially stability. Wouldnt want him anywhere near my club, but few fans could argue against the fact they are in a better position now than before he took over.
  22. There was a Saints foundation fund raising day on Sunday and this lot played. I thought they were execellent and then they threw in this little tune Apologies if it has already been posted - I couldn't see it anywhere

  24. A prime example of why internet access should be controlled.
  25. Can someone help me with a question; My son was playing a match and twice we had a free kick in our own area and both times we knocked it just a couple of yards and the referee blew up both times and said the ball had to leave the area. Now I know that is the case for goal kicks, but is it the same for free kicks as well? (I can't see the logic in it)
