Bits and Pieces I would win against anyone on here
-
I wasn't suggesting that it was uber super duppa fans that went and rubbish fans that didn't, so my apologies if thats how it came over to a few- it certaainly wasn't meant that way. I couldn't afford to do Saturday and Wednesday, so I chose Saturday, seems quite a few chose the other way around
-
It wasn't meant like that pilchards and yes there are many considerations, but still think we came up short.
-
Guessing at around 8'000

There seems to be genuine affection and gratitude for ML, but that was a pretty poor showing from us today in terms of attendance. Considering the opposition and what the day represented, I can't help think we let the big man down.

Stop digging. You made a ***t of yourself on this thread...... time to leave it alone.

Feels good, doesn't .....very well put by the way

WTF.... where do you get off telling people what jobs they should or shouldn't be doing and how much they should earn.

Completely different scenarios, and Lowe didn't take money out via share dividends per se - As a shareholder he would have received the dividends like any other share owner. I think loes highest ever salary was 450k when we were 8th in the prem. There were a lot that questioned that, but I think that was about the going rate and rewarded the success we had had that year. As to what Cortese earns, it's a non starter. We are a privately owned company and as such it was down to Markus to agree Cortese's package. These figures have been out for a while. Not sure what the Echo think is so news worthy.

Where is "There"? Thanks

The funny thing is corpy, you probably knocked one off the wrist after writing that. I think we all knew what Rallyboy meant. In any event, Chinny is still a secured creditor and riquelme isn't signing.

With the main board rattled by Oxo wanting out and others saying we should "mug off" arsenal again, Theo's not that good, Oxo's not that good blah blah, I was wondering what Theo would now be worth in the transfer market, given the gamble (Not really in my eyes but there you go) that Wenger took on him. He was Arsenals for 10 million...... what is he worth now
-
I'm afraid that is cloud cuckoo land. Imagine if you were Walcotts, Bales, or Oxo's Dad, what would you be saying to him? Forget developement forget, where you'll get the most football... With one signature he can secure his financial security for the rest of his life. He's parents almost have a duty of care to force him down that route. We kept him through one transfer window and we did very well to do that, we have set the bar as to his transfer fee and now someone has to stump up. The only difference between now and previous regiemes, is that we don't have to flinch on the last day of the transfer window.... but the buying clubs do. Chambo will go and we'll get a good wedge. The next gem we unearth will probably go down the same route. Football is not everything it was.

Did you pay by installments ?

And then think if it was the 1980's you would be walking into Southampton Bus terminal, or more importantly through those marland doors a big pub...... can't remember the name

Without knowing anything about narrow boats, I would have assumed that the same rules apply, regarding womens driving. You only have yourself to blame trousers.

How big did it end up and did the club need to contribute as well? Nice job to all who were involved

Good luck with getting anything out of midland. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/great-matches/lawrence_in_fitness_race_for_opener_1_2876567 Only the real sceptics, would think he wasn't injured. I wonder what sort of transfer fee he would command. http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/great-matches/winger_williams_no_loan_ranger_1_2876566 Has the penny finally dropped or did clotterill blow his load on varney, norriss etc.

James Beattie was at Southampton airport this morning....
Gemmel replied to bigdavewatson's topic in The Saints
Some people have very short memories. He was fantastic for us. That said he might be too similar to Lambert and the missing skill set up front is pace, so I not sure he fits the bill at the moment, but he would grace any championship side for sure. -
Turkish the ESTA questionaire has nothing on the landing card you had to fill out on the plane. Are you a terrorist Are you planning to carry out any terrorist activities in the US and then loads more equally stupid questions

Outstanding manager. Yes it is all falling apart at the moment and yes he never sees the bad incidents and yes he talks a load of shoite, but a Wenger team in full swing, is amazing to watch. He took them from the most boring team in English football, to the most exciting.
