  1. Hopefully Leicester after the Vardy crushing Virgil's ankle
  2. Leeds - proper club and fans Newcastle - ditto Sheff Weds - big old sleeping giant should be in the prem Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. They are the equivalent Ferrari F1 Team in football, and as such, there's much to dislike: Arrogant fans (the plastics) Arrogant managers over the years - Docherty, Fergie, Van Gaal, and now Jose to name a few. Arrogant club persona Arrogant players - Keane, Keane and Keane! Expect and get helping hands form referees and the system in general - e.g. Fergie time, many dodgy pens, allowed to miss the FA Cup to promote pathetic, grandiose flop the Club World Cup. Red Won loads Massive sense of entitlement in club and fans. Think they are bigger and more special than everyone else and even the game itself sometimes; think the game relies on their presence and so will die if they disappeared. Their years in the doldrums after the Fergie era has dulled my dislike though - but I am not feeling sorry for them yet!
  4. Good stuff. On to Wembley.
  5. Cracks roughly filled with polyfilla
  6. We have played some beautiful stuff under Puel, for frustratingly fleeting periods so far this season. It has been the one thing that has kept a flicker of faith in him for me, despite my trenchant criticism of much of what we have seen. Lets pray these fleeting purple patches coalesce and become the norm.
  7. Jack don't take ****!
  8. Let's hope we see this out professionally, with concentration till the end and a clean sheet.
  9. Excellent
  10. Ample evidence there that those contemplating tattoos should be assessed by a psychiatrist beforehand.
  11. I do seem to remember a fawning documentary a couple of years ago, and countless newspaper eulogies during the glory days of Poch and Koeman. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. So, in recent windows it seems we have a policy of purchasing injury prone attackers and defenders.
  13. I am no Spanish scholar but my rudimentary 40 year old O level seems to tell me it might be Tha-K-eres?
  14. Black Box Modified:
  15. Agree. Strike force needs a total overhaul.
  16. In 2015 he was off sick for 17 weeks. 5 of those weeks with "muscle fatigue". 1x2 wks and 1x3wks. Suspicious.
  17. I agree, but it is all part of the due diligence when weighing up a signing - character and application and conscientiousness play a part as well as footballing talent. We are usually quite good at it, the odd slip aside (Osvaldo!). But we may need to make allowances and take risks on this guy that we wouldn't ordinarily do, given the hole we are in at the back. Indeed, he has all the hallmarks of a typical January panic signing!
  18. All 3 were rightly censured on here. I repeat, it's hardly a glowing reference, a drink-driving conviction after crashing into a bus stop, is it? People, families and children congregate and wait around at bus stops.
  19. No way. There's no point, as the so-called rotation policy means that the lineup in the final is pretty much a lottery.
  20. Unlikely. And on the other hand, collecting two drink driving convictions is virtually pathognomonic of alcoholism. So is he a teetotaller who got unlucky or a hopeless old soak? Probably neither, but it is hardly a glowing reference.
  21. The medical is obviously crucial. He's had exactly one year to recover from the Achilles' tendon. Has it been a success? Are there other problems? How aerobically fit is he? Mobility, weight, flexibility and acceleration? How long will it take to get match fit? We need help urgently.
