Non standing zone? Have they installed the safe standing already? If so we all knew that there was going to be a clamp down on standing elsewhere.

Saints Fan Advisory Board - Got Any Balls ?
Saint_clark replied to SaintsLoyal's topic in The Saints
That is shameful to be fair. Wasn't mentioned at all on the Saints player commentary when the applause happened either. -
I thought this watching the stream. The atmosphere disappeared and was replaced with jeering, chants of "wankers", "you don't know what you're doing", etc, it was obvious something was going on for 15 minutes and it coincided with the players stepping off the gas a bit.
-
Frustrating that it's still possible with everyone having a bit of a wobble at the moment, but you just know we won't capitalise.

Saints Fan Advisory Board - Got Any Balls ?

Any chance of some context? -
Not sure the players, focussed on the game, would have known that in the moment though.
-
Just in time to get injured for the play offs.
-
To be honest you could hear the crowd distracted by something and it was doing my head in watching the stream, not a single chant in support of the team for about 15 minutes as that "hilarity" ensued and I'm sure it distracted the players as they wondered what the fuck was going on, especially with the timing of the "don't know what you're doing" chants as Mara was subbed on.

Yes, such is the gulf between prem and championship. This squad is good enough for top two, second only to Leeds and that is debatable.
-
If we don't get in the top two he hasn't achieved the bare minimum for me.
-
Sounded alright in the second half.
-
Too fucking slow, complacent at 1-0. Absolute bunch of wankers.
-
That fucked up pass from Brooks earlier when Fraser was in acres of space was just as bad as any of the missed shots. He's been poor since coming on.
-
Saints fans via Reading to Paddington and Pompey to Waterloo i'd imagine. After the game would be a nightmare though with both sets of fans trying to get down that road to the same tube station.
-
They'd probably be pissing themselves laughing at the Met having to manage it.
-
Can't see anything in the link about any "ultras" kind of stuff but I did only quickly glance. Just sounds like they want to get fans together for a drink every so often to build some familiarity and get chants more widely known before getting into the stadium which doesn't sound like a bad idea to me.
-
Yep, but just think of the profit we'll make when he's finally cut those mistakes out and is wanted by a Prem side!
-
I get the sentiment but even if all three of those teams had their 6 points deductions last season we'd have still comfortably finished bottom.

Promotion race going right to the wire.
-
It is sad, but it's very easy to not care about money and just lock yourself away when you have enough of it to never have to worry about rent or bills being unpaid.
-
I bet this forum was a nightmare when that happened.

Algorithm Vs model is just arguing semantics, we both mean exactly the same thing. And AI is absolutely used to work out XG. No human interpretation at all, it's simple maths. Striker receives a ball on the penalty spot, takes a touch and shoots right footed with no defenders between him and the goal. How many times has that sort of chance been created, how many times has it been scored, how many times has it been missed, computer uses all the information from the past to work out the likelihood that it would be scored and that gives the XG value, regardless of whether it is actually scored or not. Someone COULD sit down and work out the XG for themselves, but at the volume it's happening across so many leagues and it being so readily available as the game progresses it requires a much faster processing speed than the human brain can manage.
-
Nonsense. No point trying to explain it to you, you dismiss it out of hand probably because you refuse to put in the necessary effort to understand it. New fangled technology. All I'll say is if you look back through results on flashscores, for every team that scored over their X.G there's a team that scored under it.
-
No, that's literally how the XG stats are calculated. It's how likely a chance is to be scored based on similar chances being scored or not in the past and the only way to work that out is using AI as it would be impossible for a human to sit down and look at that amount of data in such a short time frame.
-
Most likely, yes. All these stats are worked out using crazy AI algorithms using hundreds of thousands of data points from decades of football games.
