2 sub appearances for a grand total of 29 minutes.
-
He was immediately further forward than Adams when he came on though?
-
Something I haven't seen mentioned...what was with Bree coming on and playing up front?
-
An obsession with playing a certain way instead of looking at the players we have and playing to their strengths.
-
Will keep an eye on how he does, such a great pro and excellent player to boot.

Yeah no need for that. VAR was supposed to eliminate the human error element of it, the only criticism should have been how much it slows the game down. The first step they need to take is stop pairing up referees as VAR/match official combos. Hire and train a group of people specifically to run VAR and have them randomly paired, you shouldn't have colleagues/mates working together in a role that literally requires you to say "you're wrong, change your mind in front of millions of people". There's also nothing wrong with having the VAR official just overrule the referee on the pitch. IIRC in NFL the referee doesn't go to the screen for every decision.

He absolutely let them get away with more, both in terms of not giving freekicks for identical fouls and not booking them for multiple challenges that we immediately got a booking for on the first offence.

Atmosphere in the Chapel (and in general)
Saint_clark replied to niceandfriendly's topic in The Saints
Yeah not a chance. Where I bought my ticket at the back of 15 there was only two seats available when I went on, but there were loads of empty seats around me. Was happy to get involved with the atmosphere, just a shame so many of the Chapel lot don't want to get involved and instead look round and stare at those who are chanting. -
A good win is promising. Consistency is what we're after.
-
I chucked a fiver on them at half time I have to admit.
-
The extra time and space is the quality of the defending rather him being confident or suddenly turning himself around. I still wouldn't want him in our starting line up if we got promoted.
-
Thought it was a terrible sub to be honest, Sulemana was having a great game defensively as well as going forward and Fraser when he came on ran around aimlessly and did very little of anything.
-
Adams will be fuming.

Over the moon to finally get that off my back. -
United losing at home to Palace and City losing to Wolves as well.
-
More direct today and much better for it. Hopefully it lasts.
-
Good first half lads, tactics working, let's revert to what wasn't working for the second half.
-
Quoted so you can't edit and go back on it.
-
I've figured it out. We're shooting towards the northam second half. Long running debate as to whether we should do that permanently, let's give it a go ffs.
-
Charles on for Smallbone and I think we will.
-
And look how much better we look going direct. My only worry is how quickly we slipped back into slow passing sideways and backwards when there were good options through/over.
-
Baz looks a lot better today - still critical of how early he dives though. That save he made from long range early on he dove so early that he had to adjust and make the save in front of his chest, looked a lot more awkward than it needed to if he'd just waited half a second to dive. His long range passing is better than I've seen it so far.
-
They did.

Edozie being dropped makes even less sense now, I assumed he was dropped last game to be rested for this one.
-
Downes and Smallbone need to just sit in midfield and not get any further forward than about 10 yards into their half.
