Isn't the problem that the category was decided at the start of the season and home games are on sale all year? So lots of people will have bought tickets at the higher price, they can't now start selling them cheaper.

Err no I'm not, I said when Martin revealed the information that I hated it as it was almost as if he was covering himself before the Prem season had even begun ("well I know we went down but look, we have another 3 years to be in the Prem"). It's also why I'm still convinced they would have kept Martin if we'd gone down if it wasn't for how toxic the atmosphere became, and the comments they made after the fact about having no other choice feeds into that. Don't project a motivation for my post that isn't there. I'm simply saying that in their eyes, promotion this season isn't a red line target - they still see us as having two more seasons before their target point of being in the Prem.

Their goal at the end of 5 years was to be in the Prem as stated by Russell Martin after promotion, and we're in year 3 of that plan now. Part of me hopes we don't go up through the playoffs this year, as if we can keep this side together for one more year I reckon we'll finally win a league.

By the way, the craziest bit of info that came from the Arsenal game commentary was that Tonda wasn't even born when Shearer scored a hattrick on his debut against Arsenal, if you want to feel old.

Difference is even in getting promotion we were playing utter shite, moronic football under Martin and it was clear as day we would come straight back down if we kept him. Now we look like a side that could compete with anyone in the Prem and that's without the draw of the money and status of actually being there to attract better quality players.

I think our momentum carries us the rest of this season now and we win every game. Stewart and Larin are both in great form up top meaning we don't have to burn either of them out.

Can't see it confirmed on the official site but I've had an automatic calendar update on my phone for the game on Saturday the 25th. Might just be a placeholder but would be strange that it came through now and not when the draw was made.
