  1. You're splitting hairs. When people talk about players wanting out when we don't get promoted we're clearly worried about losing our best players and being left with the shit ones that are happy with being in the championship. Nobody is saying James Bree, Will Smallbone and Sekou Mara will be demanding transfers to premier league clubs, what we're talking about is the scenario in which they become first choice players because the better ones have left.
  2. Says it's a myth that we will lose our best players if we don't get promoted. Proceeds to list the players we would lose if we don't get promoted all of whom are our best players.
  3. Really? Martin has come in to win games and get us promoted. So far he's working hard on getting us playing passing football out from the back and keeping the ball at all costs. But he hasn't made any actual progress towards the job he's hired to do. I think he's a chancer who will do the same at every club he's ever at, but will point at certain statistics as "proof" he's a good coach and always just need a little more time and patience to get it right.
  4. You mean at the start of the season, when he started 2 out of 4 games and scored 3 goals?
  5. Jesus Christ him parroting patience, he's like one of those soppy eco-friendly hippy old women constantly going on about mantras and breathing techniques and talking to everyone in a simpering calm voice that eventually you end up just telling to fuck off. Imagine you hired a brickie to build a wall and he kept digging the foundation and then filling it in over and over without even a sign of a brick. When you ask him how long it's going to take he says "it takes time, be patient, I haven't used this trowel in 9 months". Stop telling us to be patient and do the fucking job you were hired to do you time waster.
  6. Burnley had also only lost one game after 12 and I'm pretty sure the amount their conceded was in the single figures, although for some reason I can't find the website that lets you look at tables after a certain amount of games anymore. They were laying a solid foundation for a title push, we're setting ourselves up for a season seesawing between just outside the playoffs and teetering into the bottom half. Did anyone ask the manager exactly how patient we have to be? When should we start seeing consistent results from this footballing master plan? We're wasting this season with one of the best squads in the league trying to adapt it to a new style of play. By the time they've got it, it's too late for promotion so we're looking at next season and most of the players will want out so we start all over again.
  7. Great movement by Kane
  8. Hope he doesn't spend his entire career at PSG to be honest. He'd be fantastic in the Prem.
  9. In 2018 when we set up with Sterling, Rashford and Sancho running beyond him it made sense for him to drop deep and drag the defense out of shape. Now we need him to stay through the centre and be the focal point.
  10. Pretty sure he was first choice from around the age of 17 at AC. Prodigious talent.
  11. I....really don't get what point you're trying to make with that.
  12. Yep, and it's up to the manager to ensure we do that.
  13. Leeta Rutherford given eight-match ban for ableist abuse during Championship game - BBC Sport Wonder what she said. Bet it wasn't even that bad. (I am aware she plays for Pompey now but the incident she's banned for happened for Saints last season).
  14. But he's faced 15 shots more than Bazunu. If he'd faced the same amount of shots as Bazunu he'd have conceded 5 less than him with his current save rate.
  15. Can't see the replies but I bet that's triggered loads of fanboys from round the world that don't really follow football but just follow Messi.
  16. With that i'm done, that's the most ridiculous argument i've seen.
  17. It literally is 😂🤦🏼‍♂️ he saves a lower percentage of shots than any other keeper in the league. That means he lets in more shots than any other keeper. Ergo, if every keeper in the league faced 100 shots on target, he would concede the most out of that 100.
  18. Because it means we keep possession.
  19. What the hell else do you want to judge him on? You're now dismissing the fact that he lets in more shots than other keepers as useless statistics...you're off the deep end mate.
  20. He looks very good at running in behind and getting on the end of fast low balls played early into the box. Perfect for our tactic of turning away from goal and passing back into the middle of the pitch when we get out wide. All joking aside, Sulemana and Edozie should be able to set this guy up loads.
  21. It's proven by the fact that he saves the least amount of shots in the league. That means that other keepers are saving more than him. That means that shots he is letting in, other keepers are saving. Unless you're still going to try and tell us that he is the unluckiest keeper on earth and the majority of shots he faces are world class impossible-to-save ones?
  22. Yeah they weren't exactly chased out of Southampton with pitch forks and torches. Pretty sure they saw themselves off.
  23. It did grate on me having a loan player that came in a couple months ago immediately start criticising the fans. Was he at West Ham when they tried to storm the directors box after they lost to Burnley? THAT is mental. Booing when you drop points at home to Rotherham as a recently relegated team coming off the back of 10 years in the Prem is perfectly understandable.
  24. None of what you said explains why he lets in so many shots that most other keepers are able to save. I also have no idea what "high percentage odd-man rushes" means. Do you mean coming off his line to collect through balls? A lot of keepers do that. All this nonsense about him sweeping up and being great at distributing from the back, neither of those attributes are so much better than other keepers that it's worth putting up with his terrible inability to get to bog standard shots over and over again. City put up with Edersen not being a fantastic shot stopping because 1. The defence is able to limit the opposition chances massively and 2. He is genuinely fantastic at every other aspect of a goalkeepers game. Bazunu is shit at shot stopping and average at everything else.
  25. A better team might.
