Thank fuck we didn't risk playing Harry Lewis eh.
-
No, because if you actually look into it beyond the media representation there isn't much difference between the vaccines in terms of those side effects. In fact, I'd wager if you look at most people who received an injection the risk of blood clots is roughly the same.
-
Indeed, but surely it's better to create antibodies from the vaccine with none of the risk from Covid, then get Covid and be safe because of the vaccine and then have more antibodies?
-
I don't think we should make the mistake of signing a stop gap to a longer contract. Get to the summer, get rid of Forster and McCarthy and make a quality keeper our number one priority.
-
Vaccines create antibodies?

As the cheapest and easiest to transport, Astrazeneca is the one we are donating to poorer countries.
-
What's the point in having a fourth choice keeper then?
-
True. But we're not a side that can afford to only judge based on premier league records, are we.
-
Article 4 of FIFA regulations; "The minimum length of a contract shall be from its effective date until the end of the season"
-
If we have no intention of ever playing him then he's not third choice is he, our third choice keeper is actually *miscellaneous free agent*.
-
Well then why bother having a third choice keeper at all?
-
I assume you mean Caballero, and I understand that. I'm not disappointed with his signing - he's a quality keeper, although it remains to be seen how he has aged - I just dont see the reasoning behind not using Lewis when he's not a youngster nor is he completely lacking in experience. If we aren't willing to give him games now for a few weeks, a month or two at most, we are never intending on him being in the first team.
-
Just checked, 14 clean sheets in 30 appearances.
-
They finished 3rd conceding 42 goals in 36 games, but he only made 30 appearances so not sure how many he conceded. There is a video of him dealing with an awkward pass back in a pretty clever way, by pulling off a diving header at the feet of the attacker to pass it to a teammate. That's the extent of his existing highlights.

Keeping Track of the Contracts 2024-25

Dragging the ball back with his right foot to change direction, I assume. Looks to me like we might be letting Stephens go on a free 🤞 -
We're willing to add a whole new wage to the bill for 6 months rather than give Harry Lewis a go in goal for a fortnight. Why bother keeping the lad?
-
He's now 23 and has played a full season on loan as first choice Dundee United, it's a huge show of no confidence that we're not willing to give him a go.
-
But again, if Ralph had been led to believe that the ONLY consequence of his injury was that he was unable to kick the ball long, then he would feel safe in keeping him on.
-
He'd probably only found out just before the interview and had been having a shouting match with McCarthy about it.
-
Isn't the most accurate comparison how we did against the same teams last season?
-
Only time I remember it happening here is Koeman slating the players, and it worked well for him.
-
He said he was aware McCarthy was unable to kick the ball with enough power to take goalkicks but wasn't told it was so bad he'd be unable to cover parts of his goal.
-
Marcelo Sarmiento played well once.
-
Lewis getting a game could be a blessing in disguise.
-
The only way to know for sure if Ralph is to blame is to compare this record of 72 points dropped in X amount of games since he took over to how many points we dropped in X amount of games before him. I mean, we already know it's worse than anyone elses in the league - and to be honest after that long in the job, you've had the chance to mould the squad to your liking.
