Why is it I only ever see foul throws given AGAINST us?

When attacking freekicks we NEVER pick the ball up on the edge of the box when it's initally cleared. Really frustrating.

Boufal on for Tadic halfway through the second half could be a masterstroke (if we're still winning) as he seems more capable of creating something by himself for himself, which could be valuable if other players are sitting back.

First question on half time analysis - "How good have Southampton been?" Excellent, focussing on us! "They've been fantastic, but you have to say City..." Sigh.

Putting my critical hat on, I think Forster should have been coming out for that ball.

Always do in the first half - conserves energy and allows us to continually improve our performance after halftime right up to the end of the game. Look at how many of our goals have been scored in the second half this season.

Near post corners statistically result in the most goals so I can always understand going for that. I think it's tactically smart actually. Extra forward player means our weakened fullback positions won't be able to get forward as much, leaving our 3 attackers to get past 2 DM and 3 CBs.

Nothing makes me angrier than a goal kick going straight out of play. If you can't kick it accurately enough to do that, just kick it down the middle.

I agree, not talking about any "super fan" nonsense, it's fairly obvious there are people who just don't join in with various chants other than OWTS, come on you reds or (randomly) the Virgil Van Dijk one. What doesn't help is that that vast majority of people usually only sing one "round" and then give up. Keep the chant going ffs. Second half away to Arnhem with the Wanyama chant going for half an hour sounded epic.

If we move the ball quickly with one touch passing through the middle like we have at times, rather than just side to side and try to get down the wings, we can play round their press and maybe cause problems. Big if though. Boufal starting *could* be a masterstroke if it happens.

Yeah, the canal was great fun and a cracking atmosphere until a group of morons went too far and started lobbing bottles and glasses about, leading to people scarpering and the bars closing up pretty quick.

Naviglio was amazing...until bottles started getting smashed and every bar closed up. Now it's just OK, and we're making an early trek towards the ground.

Agreed, just bizarre that so many of the airlines seem to just have no knowledge of the strikes - even when I suggested the person I was speaking to just simply google "Italian strikes friday 21st october".

So far this season Virgil has played Europa games, Fonte other cup games, I don't see that changing.
