Indeed, V Villa is the only time we've properly played that formation, other times it's been 3 deep CMs with two wingers pushing on to support the striker. We seem to lack the discipline in the middle needed to play that way. If one of Davis and Morgan were told to stay behind the ball at all times, then we'd have enough players back to cover the full backs. But that doesn't happen - everyone just floods forwards without a care for the space they leave behind them.

In fairness, Puncheon has scored and (I think) got 2 assists this season.

Schneiderlin was poor, missed so many interceptions. Fox is looking better and better but is still being left to defend 2 (sometimes 3) attacking players, we need to get out midfield back to help out more. After a couple of clumsy incidents after coming on, Guly affected the game more than Davis or Schneiderlin had. Thought we looked quite good up till the second goal.

If you weren't allowed to buy singles until you're say 21, then it would be a better reflection of quality. But of course tellytubbies is going to be bought for kids, barbie girl is going to be bought by teens...much in the same way that Bieber is selling like crazy now, but I doubt to many over the age of 18.
