Think you're being a bit harsh on Davis, he's a pretty decent goal scoring threat.

Is there any interest in watching a Saints - only match day TV channel?

Surely that wouldn't be allowed? Not sure but it's probably in breach of the TV contract or something. -

For all the p*ss taking, The Saint radio station was brilliant really. A post match show would be very good, but a radio show would be outstanding. Obviously very expensive though. -
P*sses me off so much. One bloke near me was screaming at Davis to get it in the box for ages against Palace, then when he did and it went through to the keeper he shouted "what was the f*cking point of that".

I seem to remember a "long ball" being classed as anything over 20 yards, so switching it as we do quite often will count towards it. Even our CBs sometimes pass it to the full backs further distance than that...

How long before this game was that announced though? We could well be doing free travel to Newcastle or Sunderland, or something away to one of the London based clubs (free tube ticket would be good?). Won't be announced until closer the time though, I'd imagine.

Amazing that this build up thread is so quiet, I swear they're normally into double figures for pages by now when we're struggling.

What happened with that again?

God knows how I haven't been chucked out in the past before then.

You'll definitely be on your own if you start it on saturday I'll do my best to get it going from lower down block 42, and away to United as well.

You can cherry pick like that for any team though. Man City you could say 1 point from Stoke, Villa and Cardiff. Even the eventual Champions will drop "easy" points at some stage, just not as many.

Do you think the plan is to play gaston when fit?
Saint_clark replied to Roger's topic in The Saints
I'm not saying we should let him go after four years, I'm saying we should judge whether he has been worth the outlay after four years. If we sell him on for more than we bought him for before that time, then it could be argued he was worth it. If he is still with us, has signed a new contract and is an important part of a squad that is still in the Prem then I would also say that's worth it. -
I wonder what his feelings are on that now.

He was signed for £12million for 4 (?) years, so wait until the end of his original contract at least to see if he pays it back. -

Similarly, if we hadn't signed Lambert someone else would have played so who's to say they wouldn't have 100+ goals for us now... -

He's always gone mental whenever I've seen the subs bench after scoring/final whistle. I still can't believe people are writing him off so early. -
I will admit to have a quid each way at 2000-1 the other day. And the rest of the tenner on top four at 66-1. It's only a tenner, after all.

I believe Mark Long is head of security.

After his first couple of appearances there was not a single person who said he was probably one of our best GKs.

No-ones saying Fontay, they're saying "Jose Font hey baby"

Let's ignore the dozens of times he's been wrong, eh. You can pretend like people are being over sensitive all you like. The fact is he predicted a Saints loss for around 5 months straight last season, and the fact is that when Lineker pulled him up on it he tried to say it was "all lies". The guy clearly doesn't like us for one reason or another, but it doesn't bother me personally.

Why would signing a left back over a year ago have stopped us signing a centre back a couple of months ago?
