  1. Peter Crouch, 2005 friendly against the USA I think. Current internationals - Lee was left out of the last Japan squad wasn't he? Or was that just down to injury? No-one else.
  2. Apart from the fact Rooney is picked as soon as he is available, despite both strikers performing well and scoring in the last game?
  3. Also, we have no idea what context this is in. To me that tweet reads more as he's been told he's transfer listed - "stuck still watching Premiership football" as opposed to having a chance to play.
  4. Whether this is true or not, there's nothing to stop him accepting a lower wage at another club.
  5. Not near the front of the Northam it bloody isn't.
  6. Or you could argue that the best time to play the harder fixtures is whilst riding the wave of optimism and success. How often do we see teams newly promoted do really well, only to fall down the league once they run out of steam? The likes of Hull, Blackpool and Reading spring to mind off the top of my head. Better to play the harder fixtures whilst it's all in our favour, and the "easier" ones when we've calmed down a bit. Personally I expect Saints to remain consistent throughout the season, as we have done non-stop under Adkins reign. Totally professional.
  7. The one above the Chapel has needed replacing for years, there's a massive block that seems to alternate between staying blank and being bright green.
  8. Are they? Last season I remember them looking incredible. Didn't they get a 6-0 win and then that 8-2 V Arsenal in the first couple of months?
  9. Not bitter in the slightest, I'm just enjoying the reversal.
  10. Karma. They had their turn laughing at us when we were playing Bournemouth etc.
  11. Pompeys first four fixtures by comparison; Sat 18: BOURNEMOUTH (H)Tue 21: Colchester (A) Sat 25: Carlisle (A) Sat 1: OLDHAM (H) Jesus
  12. I'm more worried about when Sky will move some around now than I was for the actual fixtures being released. Need to know for work.
  13. Indeed he did (well, Saints > Weymouth > Dorch), but I thought he might have got the details mixed up.
  14. Kyle Critchell?
  15. Not only this, but have you heard the majority of atmospheres in the Prem? Over the last few years Bolton, Blackburn, Wigan, Everton, Liverpool, Arsenal just off the top of my head have been awful for atmosphere.
  16. When he was playing for England? I really don't believe that.
  17. Wouldn't be as bad as everyone thinks - remember that when he was "p*ss poor" for West Ham he was actually a regular in the England squad, including scoring a goal in the World Cup! Pretty sure he's only 32/33 as well despite seeming like he's been around since the 1940s.
  18. This remains the greatest name for a football team I've ever found; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dangerous_Darkies
  19. Seriously? Milner I can understand, and Young possibly...but Welbecks movement has been brilliant. The match overall has been pretty even I reckon.
  20. Welbeck has been very good so far.
  21. No, but everyone talks about England choking at major tournaments "discounting" how good we usually are in qualifying. What's the difference there then? The team that day; Foster, Jagielka, Gibbs (Warnock), Ferdinand (Richards), Lescott, Gerrard (Crouch), Walcott (Johnson), Henderson, Barry (Young), Milner, Carroll (Bothroyd).
  22. I agree, but there's no reason we can't utilise them both. Walcott would have been such a better player if he'd been kept up front rather than moved out wide, his hit and miss crossing wouldn't even be an issue then.
  23. Not sure why everyone is so afraid of France, their attacking players went missing in 2010 worse than any of our squad. Reckon we'll win 2-0. Welbeck and Gerrard.
  24. I have confidence in Hooiveld, but Fonte would worry me as first choice in the Prem. Love to be proved wrong, obviously.
  25. Interesting. I thought this was really going to be Walcotts big chance.
