Rule Britannia tune; Jay Rodriguez, Rodriguez for the Saints, Gets the ball and then he's gonna score again. (Repeat). Second line sucks but at least it's a genuine (original) attempt, rather than just sarcastically taking the p*ss whilst offering no alternatives.

Suarez' scoring record is nowhere near Van Nistelrooys, AFAIK.

Premier League Experience - Required or Overrated?
Saint_clark replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
O'Hara seems to enjoy being the "saviour" of a struggling team. Not sure he'd fit in with our group. Davies is a great shout though. Holden as mentioned above is another - but his fitness would be a doubt for me. -
Premier League Experience - Required or Overrated?
Saint_clark replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
"Premiership experience" has never made any sense to me. A game of football is a game of football at any level, there isn't different formulas for winning games in different divisions. Experience makes a difference when you refer to specific situations - cup runs, relegation battles, promotion/title chases. But player A won't necessarily be better than player B just because he's got a few more years experience of playing in the Prem if he was always in a midtable side. -
If Saints were in Euro 2012, how well would we do?

International football is much better than people think - even Greece the other day, arguably the worst team in the competition, were playing some good stuff. Having said that everyone who's said we would beat a few teams is obviously on a wind up, can't believe some people fell for it. -
No proper badge for Saints anymore though...

It'll be embarrassing seeing the attendance for the Wolves game. They should make that one under a fiver to get in, tenner for Udinese and Ajax and then £15 for the tournament.

Summer 2012 HCDAJFU Thread - Premier League Special Edition

Have they said for certain that Di Matteo won't get the job? Chances are they're just negotiating a managers contract for him. Plus, Mata also plays central just behind the striker and Sturridge plays up front. They're a very interchangeable team. -
I think it's more to do with families happiness than their own when players move based on location.

Heaven forbid we should have to interact with another human being.

No more free season tickets for blind supporters

First thing I thought of when I saw this as well. I don't think we do it but I get the feeling this is foreshadowing the introduction of such a system, what with the club always talking about being the "best in class" in every aspect. -
I know someone who recently left her mobile on the top of the car after popping into the shop, it fell off and smashed when she drove off and she's had the p*ss taken out of her for being such a dopey tit since. Putting your baby down on top of the car to put the shopping in the boot and forgetting to put him/her into the actual car though, is absolutely mental.

Great business idea for dragons den.

Better than Hammond and Chaplow, possibly even Cork and Schneiderlin if we're being honest.

Pretty sure Harding started a few times at the start of last season, and Fox was brought in slowly. Sure I remember people getting really shirty about Harding being dropped even though we'd been performing so well.
-
Perfect time for my upgrade then.

Holt is a little quicker, but Lambert was far more mobile last season than I'd ever seen him before. He covered a ridiculous amount of ground in the home game to Reading in particular.

Wow. That is a lot of money, potential or no potential. It is all discussed here, though; http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?31952-Jay-Rodriguez-Combined-Thread/page16

Anyone thinking of doing a Parachute Jump? You won't after THIS!
Saint_clark replied to dubai_phil's topic in The Lounge
I thought you paid extra to get it recorded or something like that. -
I wondered what that was, every now and then a players head was disappearing on that side of the pitch.
-
Not really. If both keepers get injured and we end up having to stick Lescott in goal or something, we're f*cked. But if we had a lot of injuries to (for example) our strikers, we could still stick Young/Gerrard up there and they'd do a job.
-
Would be good for him, a level where he'll perform well, doesn't have to relocate...and probably a pay rise to boot.

What happened to Ruddy?
