  1. I thought Gobern was released? Mills, McNish and Chamberlain are all considered part of the first team squad now I imagine. Sam Hoskins is meant to be pretty good. I'd recommend still going.
  2. Yes, but still. He must be ashamed when he looks round at these kids with their whole careers ahead of them knowing that his is practically already over.
  3. Very interesting. I think we can take from that that Preen, Oxlade-Chamberlain and McNish are with the first team squad. Wonder how Pulis feels being the oldest player in the squad. He can't seriously be happy with his career..?
  4. Get out of it He's got -9 PA on football manager if anyones interested.
  5. Meh, I think he's overrated, but maybe - just maybe - with our creativity his pace will be vital next season.
  6. Bless their hearts...
  7. Oh dear lord, the beer isn't changing. ST refunds galore...
  8. Makes sense, I remember reading his name in quite a few articles since the season ended.
  9. Overall I think with Harding, Dickson, Richardson, Lallana and Puncheon we have enough pace in the match day squad right now. Connolly and Barnard aren't as slow as people make out either.
  10. New ST is gold and black, perhaps the same colour scheme will be used on the away kit as suggested.
  11. Directed at me or him
  12. I got mine the next day when I ordered it.
  13. Drivers seat is on the left, remember. Look in the mirror.
  14. This football development scheme has been described by a few staff members now as extremely forward thinking and apparently we're "the only club in Britain to use this model". What exactly is it we're doing that's so different? Are we actually using the Barcelona model of development...?
  15. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/4718296.Dodd_makes_Saints_return/ Dodd is the manager of the academy team apparently.
  16. He works with the academy, has done for a while now.
  17. Got mine Hope the away kit is good this year so I can actually use the voucher for once.
  18. I didn't think he was as bad as everyone else seems to. His last two games for us he was outstanding, particularly Southend.
  19. -10 PA for all?
  20. £25million.
  21. Does anyone know what the octopus predicted? EDIT; nevermind, just saw it further up the page
  22. Reminded of a poem I wrote a couple of days after the takeover was announced. Yes, i'm a soppy tw*t, so sue me. Each week I stood, arms by my side, Watching this cursed game. Damning the man who ruined it all, And caused me all this pain. But then that changed; we were saved, By a man from lands afar. Almost as if by a miracle, Or a wish upon a star. He turned around a 6 year fall, Right down to the depths of hell. Now remember this, so to your kids, Our story you can tell. We were not the best, we were not the worst, We were just glad to be there. In the best league in all of the land, With the game played good and fair. But then that changed, something went wrong, We were undone by one mans greed. His stubbornness, his arrogance, And his selfishness he had to feed. I shall not dwell upon that man, For now our skies are clear. Just know that if it weren’t for him, We would not be down here. In spite of him, and his mistakes, We all still sing our song. And every weekend, without fault, The Saints go marching on. So do not fret; that time has passed, The future’s looking bright. No matter how bleak things might get, We'll cheer the Red and White. From the day we’re born, till the day we walk, Through heavens pearly gates, Stand, and stand proud my friend, For we are, and always will be, Saints.
  23. One year ago tomorrow, I went out on the p*ss with my brother to celebrate, and met up with another Saints fan who worked in a pub and tried to convince him we had been taken over by a multi-billionaire. As with all typical Saints fans, he refused to believe it until he saw it with his own eyes. Still remember stumbling home singing oh when the Saints at the top of my voice, getting quite emotional thinking about how close I came to never singing it again. Just imagine what you would have done on a saturday if we had gone under, and then offer up a huge thanks to Liebherr and Cortese.
