Really like this we feature. Man city do it every game with "tunnel cam". Good to see the players high fiving the mascots and wishing then a good day. One thing that gets me with footballers, they really don't seem very pumped up when lining up in the tunnel. That's the perfect time to make noise, intimidate the opposition and get yourself going.

I was one of the "vocal minority" and would do it again. I even held up a banner. He was not the answer, Strurrock was not the answer and the worst of all Lowes bad decisions, Wigley was not the answer. I'm ok to take responsibility (in your mind) for Hoddle not being appointed. Before the game started and he was getting abuse, he looked like he was finding it funny. That worried me. Then he had one bad touch early on and the crowd really got to him. He looked like he just didn't want to risk any big passes and made so many more mistakes. Most I've seen a crowd reaction effect a performance since we got on Hunts for Reading a few years back.

Not sure if this has been mentioned elsewhere as I can't be arsed to look but MP said in his press conference that he went for dinner with RDM after the QPR game. He also said to ask Nicola if he will get a job, then raised a smile. Seems on the cards

My mate is what I'd consider intelligent (for a yank) and when I was over there I went to their parents place which was a decent size and had a lot of land. They thought that we'd be amazed by all the open space. They just couldn't grasp that we also had open space in England.

English music generally. Oasis, Arctic Monkeys etc. Bit of an indie fan I believe.

I've got an American friend coming over this week for 2 weeks. Been over a few times before and done most of the obvious tourist stuff in London. This time they want to see more of the country, especially some historic towns/villages. Even any gems in Southampton that go unnoticed. I've got a few ideas but need more, so am turning to the oracle of knowledge that is this forum.

Royal Oak has been a great football pub this year. The Winston will have it in too if you're at that end of town.

If he stays, he'll be up against stronger competition on the right next season if we stay up. Worries me that he won't accept that like when AOC took his place.

Isn't it great to have ambition though? After all those horrible years, we can actually look up. Even if we're not safe and could be playing championship football next season, I still look forward to what Southampton FC has in store for me as a fan. It's exciting and I'll make the most of that.

I think NC wants to establish Southampton. I don't think anybody seriously thinks we'll qualify for the Champions League, certainly not regularly. Realistically we could win a tropohy or two and/or qualify for Europa through the league. I'd be over the moon with that. You can throw your "Dell like mentality" and "Everton did it once" all you like. We're Southampton.

Offload them to who? Who will take on their stupid wages for average ageing players? They'll get good offers for Remy and Taarabt...that's about it. They'll have a lot of players on contract they'll struggle to shift.
