"Saints considering Mauricio Pochettino" - Daily Mirror
Golden Balls replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Cortese fan but if he does this he's lost the plot -
Bournemouth genuinely are my 2nd team. I work down there a lot and I see far more Saints fans than I do Cherries. Maybe that's part of the reason for the bitterness? Also, when they got promoted it got announced at the end of the game at SMS to a small cheer and round of applause.

Really? You're not sure?

I'm not saying Redknapp shouldn't have got involved. Just the fact he did made it look worse. If our captain or a player dragged him away it wouldn't have looked as bad. It was a red mist moment. He even said himself he just wanted to have a go at the linesman for the decision and didn't even realise it was the ref in front of him that he was pushing out of the way.

I can't see how anyone can justify charging over £35 for 90 minutes of "entertainment". Especially when said entertainment is not guaranteed and happens every week. That said, people like me pay it
-
Away games it's a lot easier to just go wherever you like. I hardly bother to look at my ticket and just head towards the back of the stand. If we were to have 'safe standing' at SMS, where would it go? Top half of the Northam?
-
I still maintain that his 10 game ban was over the top. Not helped by Redknapp running down the line to drag him away. Doing that made it look even worse. Nice bloke? Yes. Great footballer? No. Waste of money? No.

I thought it was quite obvious that we have gone all red for the 'brand'. We have two Asian players and red is a big deal over there. Clearly trying to open a market. The only reason we also went for an all white kit is so they can still say "red & white" in the marketing.

Being an Everton fan, that's probably Lallanas target.
-
I expect they also see it as a winnable game as we can expect it to be quite open. However on form, we are far better than them We have got some decent respectable results lately while they have been hammered 3 times and lost to a league 2 side. I would expect a back lash for the first 20 minutes, but if we take control and get a few good chances they will become nervy and it will be ours for the taking. As OldNick says, I fully expect to be begging for a draw on 90 minutes.
-
No way! I'd very rarely ever settle for a draw before the match. Especially against such a poor team. A win tomorrow and that put Villa right in it and lifts us away slightly.
-
£35m and he's theirs.
-
Sounds like a decent prospect but not sure it's the answer we're after. Oh and, I'm guessing Lowe had some good contacts in Sweden and spoke the language....or was it becuase we were getting good deals for good players? Hmmmmm...

Seems quite clear he is one of 3 things. A skate, a banned member or a wum. Either way it's pretty sad but seeing each thread getting dragged off subject (very quickly) is just boring after a while. I'm all for negitive/positive debate etc. But it should be pretty clear this isn't the case.

Never heard if him. Sign him up!!

Thought Chelsea fans were alright and had a few original chants. Easy to be loud when there's 6000 of you and you're winning. I've been to a few away games this year. Trust me, SMS is nowhere near that bad.

It does make me laugh that the few prolific posters on here jump on the one or two who say "if Everton can do it..." and respond like that's our whole fan base. Ignoring that everybody else is agreeing that its not possible. Anyway, just to throw another FFP loophole out there. What stops the club putting a signed piece of Saints memorabilia up for sale in the club shop for £20,000,000 and someone, like an owner (who by rights could remain anonymous) buying it? Still counts as money "earned" by the club as its coming through that revenue stream. Or how about putting a bottle of wine on sale in hospitality for £10,000,000 and a wealthy individual (maybe the owners, or their friends after a gift from the owners) goes and buys it. That £10m would go down on the books as revenue from hospitality. You get where I'm coming from. FFP will never work.

We will be down there with QPR, Reading, Wigan, Villa and Sunderland. Reading will finish bottom. The rest is up for grabs in my opinion.
-
I really didn't rate him until the last few games. My opinion on him has now completely changed. He's been brilliant and I'm very pleased to be proved wrong.

Promotion day. After the game being in town and every bar packed full of Saints fans all night having a great time.

I met Billy a couple of months ago and he definitely didn't want to leave and seemed pretty sure he wouldn't be back. At that time he had not been great at Forest so got the feeling he would have jumped at the second chance back here. Not so sure now though
-
I think it's his second worst. His worst being the winner against Millwall. That said, they've all gone in.
-
So you agree Guly will add height to the set pieces?
-
It is. As is the 2nd part.
