Royal Oak showed the Arsenal and Villa game and will be showing the Everton game so I guess they'll have every game.

Worryingly that was my first thought. I had a bigger kitchen than that when i was 18 in my first place. Dan Hardings missus was amazing.

Randomly met Billy Sharp in a tv studio toilet in North London on Sunday. Said he's getting on alright at Forest. I can't imagine he's say much different to be honest. He was over the moon to see me wearing a LJS foundation wristband though. Top bloke!

As usual? I didn't go tonight but I thought he had a fantastic cross usually. I've lost count of the amount of crosses Richardson put in last season that ended in a goal!

Definitely. I remember going to watch the reserves against Chelsea and there were loads there. Probably over 10k. Only really went as it was free and a chance to go to the pretty new stadium again. Great game though. 3-0 down to a Carlton Cole hat trick only to draw 3-3 after James Beattie came on.

Why are people rounding it down to 9000? It was a handful off 10k
-
Did you really expect much more than 10k? For a capital one cup 3rd round game against a lower league side costing £15 on a day of crap weather, 3 days after a premier league game and still in holiday season (apparently) and not forgetting the dreaded recession. I think that just about covers it...

Could have been well over 10k had the queues not been so huge before the game

Loads of parking in Ocean Village as it's free after 6. Less than a 10 min walk.

Survey says we're Bompey's biggest rival....

Always like to see Bournemouth win -
I only found out after the game about what their applause was for. Everyone around us was very confused.

Being paid to win by rivals is okay - so says Mr Laudrup

Why would a win bonus (which they already receive) go against the philosophy of the teams and affect the two teams pride or desire to achieve? Just because it comes from elsewhere? If used correctly it can make the league more competitive towards the end of the season. If anything I'd say it maintains the integrity of the players/clubs to be as competitive as possible rather than either slacking off or playing weakened teams -

Take it. Not only would we have an extra incentive to win (good) we'd take money off Portsmouth (good). Again, where's the problem? Remember, this isn't fixing. It's an incentive. There are no guarantees that once they are offered a bonus that they would automatically win. -

I actually like the idea of it as teams to slack off towards the end of the season. This is frustrating when these slacking teams play a team close to you on the league. However, playing devils advocate here, it makes the rich clubs more powerful and widens that gap between top and bottom. -

I don't see how it's morally wrong when the morals are to win, which in my head is morally correct. If they lose, they don't earn the extra incentive. -

Because a game at the end of the season often means a team has nothing to play for (relegation/champs league etc) in the middle of the season that isn't the case -

Good example was given on the radio. If it was legal to do this Spurs could have incentivised West Brom on the last game of last season to beat Arsenal. West Brom had nothing to play for and changed a few team members. They had a few lapses of concentration which lost the game. You could say some of the team were already mentally on the beach. Whereas if they had more incentive they may have been more competitive. Where's the negative in that? If it was made legal there would have to be strict rules on it. It's completely different to paying someone to lose. That isn't on. -

Reflex is still the same company but sticking to 80s music is becoming harder and harder for the to attract people in. So now they'll be doing 90s & 2000s too. Terrible new paint job they've had though. Voodoo has been there for a while since Chilli Whites lost their licence. Southampton is getting much better as a night out, you lot are just getting old. -

Why? It's not match fixing! Makes it more competitive when a team has nothing to play for -
A Saints legend? I'd say yes. He'll be one of the players I talk to my children about. He's the 'Hero' figure that our club was missing for a while. Someone for the kids to look up to. Someone for kids down the park to scream "lambeeeert" every time they take a shot. Hope he finishes his career here.

Reading, us, Norwich, Villa and Sunderland will be down there IMO. WBA and Fulham could easily slip into it if they get a couple of injuries. Would love Liverpool to stay in and around the bottom but it probably won't happen.
