Don't forget that all the A380's were grounded after the Qantas Engine issue. Took Emirates a couple of weeks to run them all through testing. Equally, when they first came into service EK's big buses kept breaking down - the loos stopped working - not fun on a 13 hour haul. OK so I have like photos everywhere, backed up ones and ones from old broken machines and I have often managed to download an entire SD card more than once with different tags. So anyone out there ever used any of these Duplicate Photo checking softwares> Any other suggestions? I must have half my storage taken up with pics & vids and so many duplicates.Tried to sort them manually once and lost a whole bunch so had to restore from back up and woosh triplicates Help?

It's a damned good question Tokyo's. I ain't bought music from a shop in about 15 years. I have picked up occassional dodgy Albums in Thailand to listen to while there. When I first arrived they had just introduced a Copyright law - before that they had stores selling THOUSANDS of Copied Cassette Tapes including own mixes. When the law came in they had two weeks to sell the stock - think I bought about 150 of them at 20 pence a tape! Nowadays we have Virgin Megastores. We have Independent Music & DVD stores. We have local record labels and we have a decent music scene. Most small Malls (we have a US type of local suburban mini malls) have an independent Music/DVD retailer/Independent Blockbuster Rental store. Virgin here will not go the same way as HMV, they do Music, Software/Games Books Magazines etc, but also do a roaring trade on Events/Concert tickets, and have Electrical Gadgets, Gizmos and stuff not just in the IT/Phone but also in terms of small home gadgets. They also do a decent range of "Virginized" souvenirs. Internet shopping as a whole really is not big down here, Christ we have enough customer service issues with a shop where you can grab the receptionist by the throat when they refuse to replace a duff item under warranty. A whole bunch of consumer protection rights will be needed before that can happen - and we have WAY more priorities than that at the moment! Apple locally are about a decade behind the EU in service and support and downloads, sure as heck have no Amazon type operations (although we have Groupon now) Outside the Global Big Name Touring Bands/DJ's, the most "Music" everyone sees as visitors will be the cover bands (The oft mentioned Seaview Band being an example). There is an annoying habit here that every bar MUST have "Live Music" But there is a strong Metal & Emo scene. Death of Eighty were the Emo kings about 5 years ago got into the top 10 on AudioStreet downloads and got a UK record deal but unfortunately they grew up and went to Uni. Local Rockers Juliana Down act as support for all sorts of visiting bands (we normally just groan they are arrogant cocks) & Nervecell are (allegedly) a decent Death Metal. and supported Velvet Revolver & Muse a few years back. We have a decent Open Mic scene and lots of pub singer songwriter types. Obviously loads of Emirati singers doing their stuff and Record Labels for them sell world wide to the Arab expat population. But, something may be about to change. I've mentioned on the Arts forum couple of lads (one a Saints Massive member) got signed up by the Local EMI/Universal label and their first single releases in early Feb. And so you have acres of empty shops and out of town warehouses. That are no longer paying rents, rates, electricity bills, taxes, NI Which means the councils will earn less and will cut more So Services will go, bins will be emptied once a year, more jobs will go and pay will be cut But yeah, you'll be able to sit at your desks and have stuff delivered. There is a very dangerous circle of decline here. Councils will have to act very fast to replace the income streams. So no retail? then they have to open more pubs/restaurants in City Centres.... Oh So you have to start converting retail into Residential.......... Altringham were on a special on Sky News just recently they are trying everything to regenerate their Town Centre including halving parking fees. It's still empty

For us yes. It stayed funny. But we can also see why film goers or Ali G fans may not get it. It is really hard to try and describe this comparison without coming across as insanely insensitive but here we go. IF you take away the bluster (some call it face) of a "Middle Eastern Despot" then you are left with Comical Ali (Saddam's "PR Manager") Underneath all the pre-invasion toxic ruling of his country was a pumped up moron (who eventually cowered in a hole in the ground) The West misunderstood his Bluster for Reality and felt he was a threat. For those down here he was let's say a master of Bullpoo. (Now that is not ignoring his acts of terror on his own people) SBC manages to take that to a very well observed level of p1ss take in his character & portrayal of the "Court" of Aladeen. Most will find laughing at a Genocidal maniac difficult or impossible (as many found Bruno & even Borat too much) however, he does it very well. Perhaps the weakness in The Dictator is that he panders to "a happy ending" whereas the two previous films kept up the "offensiveness". IMHO this film has more actual jokes in it. A conversation about the Yanks shooting Osama's body double and OBL moving in with him moves from toilet humour to very bad taste when talking in Arabic to him crashing his car. But it takes the p1ss out of Middle American paranoia perfectly. Comparing a Hotel Chain to a ME War Criminal for their Internet charges is tasteless but funny. But a lot of the jokes I guess you have to have lived and worked with "The mentality" of this region (and on this SBC maintains a balance of observing and taking the p1ss of ALL sides of men over here). FMDP recommended the film to her boss last night (Jordanian) he replied back "wow no wonder it was not shown here" and "he was still p1ssing himself laughing" (Oh and the Morgan Freeman/Megan Fox/Harvey Keitel gags....) So perhaps there are two weakness to the film 1) I think is simply that SBC doesn't end it "offensively". Perhaps even he felt that US audiences wouldn't buy into it 2) Perhaps the fact that for large parts of the film SBC is not in "costume" but in character (and just imagine a reforming/finding himself Saddam walking around NY wearing clothing from the Lesbian Bathroom Charity Box....... as the only running gag) So it has a paper thin plot, a lot of gags only nutters down here would get, uses real actors instead of dumb set up schmucks is only mildly gross and portrays Megan Fox (and Katy Perry) as women who would sh@g a Dictator for a Goodie Bag. Still loved it and understand why many won't

Yep. Most surprising thing was he was allowed in here to perform (way before he became famous outside blighty) and caused everyone to duck for cover and make sure the local plod weren't in the building. Subtle it ain't EVER going to be, but it is funny and this movie IMHO had more sustained moments in it. Other great gags included Oh you have an education? Don't think I'll download it and take it into the Magic Kingdom though
