  1. The swear filter opens up so many ROFL moments
  2. S Darko. A sequel to Donny Darko made in 2009, set 7 years after the events of the first film. His sister, Sam, is on a road trip with a buddy, their car breaks down, they end up in a small town. Look, that's kinda how much I understood. The film manages to keep a weirdness and feel to it similar to the original. But the weirdness and back to frontness and rewinds and well, whatever is certainly far more than the original. Did I enjoy watching it? Hell yes weirdly. But the damned thing leaves WAY more loose ends than one of my Old Nan's attempts at a knitted jumper when she hit her 90's. It does your head in big time I'm sitting here asking about the vicar, the kid or was it a ghost..... The weird Rabbit thingy makes an appearance and if I am honest there are some new clues in there about the whole first movie but you have no idea if they are clues or just weirdness. I really can't work out if it was sh1t or is an absolute classic. All I do know - we ain't allowed to smoke anything down here that would have helped it make any sense. I can't ask the BIG question as it would blow the SPOILER ALERT alarm into overdrive so it's just wtf? Someone find it on a Sat channel or Download and try and explain it to me one day
  3. To those penny pinchers worrying - don't. You can bet that a lump of his "weekly salary" will be made up of bonuses. Win Bonuses Clean Sheet Bonuses Now I see our cunning plan to keep costs down (Oh source for that info? I am The Secret Footballer) No, not me, the farking book
  4. Yeah. Luckily the front of it was enough to put EVERYONE on tour off their beer let alone dodgy women (Even performing the shaving foam gag on the Stag was about as much fun as finding a floater in a Jacuzzi) So no, that ain't gonna be happening, and IF the lads try it I have an old Swiss Army knife with built in Bolt Cutters ready
  5. Interesting point thanks Tokyos. The STRANGE thing is Son In Law's best man invited me on their stag last April - my 2 lads were also going so I had actually typed the "ah krap I'm at a Work Conference" having my toenails trimmed" excuse email when SiL's DAD sent a reply to all saying Oh great really looking forward to going out on the lash with Phil.... Kindof meant I had to go. Anyways I blamed jetlag for whimping out of the late night stuff after the bars shut and think that was a dignified solution. What kinda freaked me out for my Stag was as soon as we decided to go to Munich SiL, his Dad and half the Stag from last year ALL emailed to say "Can we come?" Last year was so awesome.... So then it was all ass about boob and the family invited themselves. Must be a psychology students Thesis available in that somewhere. Luckily, many many years ago at a hotel in Cardiff I was so bladdered I nearly had a Coyote Ribena moment. Thank God a mate gave me a slap and I woke up in time. Since then I have managed to install the "Anti Beer Goggles" App. It's been updated over the years and now runs on Android. So it can now look at the Bewbs above and say Do they make Brown Paper Bags that big?
  6. Lol... There is one rule. Brighouse & Rastrick.... Brass Band. Yeah Frank you are right about us oldies - prime reason we went the Beer route rather than the Baltics/E Eu The plan is plenty of this [/img] And totally none of this
  7. Aqaba was a long time ago, stayed in a not on the beach resort type hotel which was cheap. Dead Sea stayed at the Movenpick Resort which was really nice. You can do Petra in a day from either, (and you need a day) but the "village" itself (5 years ago) was a sh1t hole and the hotels looked pretty skanky. Have done it by Bus tour, self drive with mates and with a private driver the times I used to go up there for work. Oh have a BIG breakfast and take a sandwich/emergency rations and some isotonic drinks and good walking shoes. It ain't somewhere I'd recommend having a lunch, the place is ENORMOUS. Oh and you HAVE to do the horse ride wearing khaki and a "cowboy style" hat In Amman would recommend a high end hotel more for security with the Syrian refugees everywhere, apart from the Amphitheatre and museum not a lot to recommend it these days certainly would not recommend wandering around little alleys alone these days. If you do some research plenty of other places to see, Mount of Olives etc, some Dead Sea Scrolls You can do Jerash in a day from there easily. These days I use hotels.com or bookings.com rather than travelocity/expedia if that helps. No idea on prices though most mid range hotels will arrange airport transfers/ car with driver for transfers, wouldn't recommend taxis or self drive. Arab driving makes the Italians look sane on the roads of Naples. Oh, and yeah it is stupid, but you have to climb ALL the way up to the top at Petra (after the Indiana Jones bit then the Roman bit) Then you have to go higher again to look across into Israel and sing.... I looked over Jordan, what did I see? Egypt? Red Sea resorts are fine, plenty of package hols available Cairo is more emotionally up and down than a match day thread these days
  8. OK peeps. My Stag is in Munich 19-21st April & involves medically impossible amounts of beer and "late night entertainment stuff" (Yes, you ARE all invited, already have a couple of forum boys booked) Anyways, I ain't been in Blighty for yonks and so I wanted to ask the panel what is cool and not cool these days. No FFS not the beat my own record (a fivesome Bearsy if you really want to know) (edit and no Bearsy, none of them was anything other than full blooded chicks) And no TRUST ME, none of the gang wants to see my bare ass handcuffed to no damned Streetlight More like "Should I let my sons come along?" My Son in law is already booked AND his Dad wtf? What else besides Beer & Wenches should we include? Should I follow FMDP's rules and be fined a Schnapps if I try and talk to a fugly women all weekend, but the Stags HAVE to down their drinks each time I chats up a babe? Help! (Hint we will spend the main day at Fruhlungsfest - Think Oktoberfest but shorter and with more desperate chicks)
  9. Hmm an idea for another fred
  10. Agree with that. Especially after one of them had a dying laptop... Which I got running...... To find their wall paper was a pic from The Bulldog in Hamsterjam. That stuff is all well and good but, not sure I would want to read about their experiences of trying to test the reactions of their other half to a night trying out Bearsy's 50 shades fred for eg.... Jeez, potentially having them & Son In Law on MY Stag weekend in April will be as weird as it will ever get for me......
  11. I played golf today. It was nice and sunny. But it left me feeling peckish. I think I will have some cheese on toast for a late night snack
  12. My NY diet was going swimmingly. Then our @dubaisaints Twitter guru (who works for Heineken) bought the beers at the game last night.. I was doing so well with a Diet 7Up....... And then today 18 holes of golf was completely undone by free beer. It'll start tomorrow. I promise to post figures
  13. this. An off the wall idea is Easyjet to Amman in Jordan then down to Aqaba, a day or so at the Dead Sea in a resort, a day at Jerash and a day at Petra which is amongst THE greatest places you can see. Stay out of Amman if possible, BUT seen some good deals on flights there
  14. Some of us have kids who are Saints fans who also read and post on here from time to time. Maybe we should get Granty to let us have 2 user names. 1 for normal forum and 1 for Muppet Show? That would open up the ability to respond to FAR more threads, especially that 3some one. On which subject I had a nice foursome today. Very nice lads to play with. Had a stonking birdie on 17th
  15. I played today. I felt chilled before I even got to the range. I just felt that I simply needed to walk up to the ball and hit it. I had one minor tech flaw with my 1st 3 drives - splattering them away to the right (slice) adjusted my weight so it was slightly more on the front foot..... And then out drove the rest of the lads all afternoon - 1 had the new TaylorMade & one had an RBZ. I was blasting my 8 year old Calloway square head thingy 260-270 straight down the middle with a perfect shape on it. After the 1st 3 holes I only missed 1 fairway. It ain't JUST about the kit, it's about NOT thinking what to do with it Oh and yeah was using Titleist Pro V1 X refinished balls (15 quid a box at the moment) Now, IF ONLY I could chip from 50 yards reliably I'd have walked the tournie, ho hum
  16. Really? Clyne Fonte Yoshida & Shaw have been looking better and better as a unit up to the Cup game. Yoshida & Cork aren't right backs but they are better than Richardson/Butterfield at this level. A lot will depend on how bad Clynes' injury actually is & how long he is out for. Bringing in a Cb of the quality of Astori or any of the others we have been linked with will imporve that defence with Cork & Yosh as cover with Clyne for the FB slots. OTHERWISE, you have to find someone BETTER than Clyne and BETTER than Shaw (who the biased taters on Saturday reckoned was in the Top 10 hottest properties in World Football. Tough to find better and the REAL issue will be the result of Jose's scan on Tuesday/Wednesday. We MAY need 2 CB's.
  17. 1) Almost anything will be an improvement on Puncheon IF they play with their head up in the final 3rd of the pitch 2) This lad sounds a much better loan bet than Benayoun from Chelsea. Mind you IF we get him and DON'T get a CB I think I may stay away from this forum for a few weeks to avoid the Mountainous Underwater moans
  18. Wow, I am amazed if that is true. Who could ever have seen that coming? Just imagine the row IF all those who pledged then paid found out that this was the plan all along and they just helped ensure that nottarf gets bulldozed while they have to look up train times to Havant & Waterlooville. No that couldn't possibly happen. Surely not.
  19. OK you are disgusted. Thanks for sharing that. We aren't in for Astori either by the way. How many times a day can you be disgusted?
  20. Well, I hope all those calling for a full strength team in the Build Up thread have now seen why that was a bad idea. The result is irrelevant (apart from making some posters' day). The disaster is the injury to Jose. Boruc kept it down to single figures even the biased taters admitted he made some good saves to keep us in it. Everyone else on the pitch went home early. Stopped playing with any purpose or intensity once we went 1-0 up. Oh and I WISH I had a fiver for every time I have heard a tater said Puncheon needs to lift his head up. Getting bored with it now
  21. On the bright side won't have to listen to those taters again this season Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
  22. And THAT is why we should not have played our best team. Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
  23. Guy Mowbray & Gary O Reilly the biased taters Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
  24. Enjoying telling Chelski fan we got kids in today with reserves Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
