Dear peeps. As previously mentioned. Our local muppets aren't showing Homeland S2 yet.... I'll get my own back in 2013 with Spoilers else....

Yeah that's true. If only we didn't have to pay 8 quid for a pint or 400 quid a month for Electric & Water you'd have a fair point So, just for that here's our favourite Christmas Song. Kinda sums up what we'll do tomorrow. The classic from Chris Rea...... [video=youtube;jQTVpem9-hI]https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=jQTVpem9-hI

He is rubbish. He cannot produce an Ice cream from a Pack of Playing Cards

One more game before the transfer window opens. Unlike Alp's, I'm happy to give "The Recruitment Committee" a week to get things sorted

You guys have NO idea how lucky you are living in the Real World. So, last night I notice my OSN Player (Think Sky+) had recorded Episode 1 of Strike Back in HD. Oh cool thinks I, people said it was at worst OK and others said it was a good show. So I sit myself down with an OSH and put the feet up. Yep Cracking stuff, though I thought the Character Development was kinda missing. And the whole background support staff all seemed a bit "just existing". Anyway, I thought, cool, I think I got the series on a dodgy DVD on one of my Bangkok Trips I'll dig out Episode 2 as it was still early And find some bloke in a House in Iraq......... WTF?? Ah Bless our Muppet TV Channel decided to simply start showing Season 2. Nope, never bothered with S1 just dump S2 onto the plebs.... I mean FFS, they pulled the same sh1t with Downton Abbey. Whack - straight into S2, so we have to fart around and download the damned stuff. You guys have NO idea what it is like to have the Quality of Customer Service and awareness that Sky give you (no REALLY, don't get me started on the local support structures) Anyway Rant over. Now playing S1 catch up so can see S2 in HD from next week. Looks like decent Telly for once (Oh and NO sign of Homeland S2 down here. Why?)

Not surprised that Fergie was furious. If RVP had stayed down another 0.001seconds, he'd have had an extra 8 minutes of injury time added.

The Wiki entry for Merry Xmas Everybody is a cracking tale. Full of ORLY facts Like - it was used in 4 different Dr Who Episodes It's been heard by 42% of the population of the planet The chorus was recorded in a corridor The Harmonium was borrowed from John Lennon who was recording Mind Games in the studio next door The original chorus was Buy Me a Rocking Chair and contained the immortal lyrics So won’t you buy me a rocking chair to watch the world go by and a looking glass to look you in the eye http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merry_Xmas_Everybody

Have to assume JR is carrying a minor knock and NA needs him to play at Fulham & Stoke. I can see that he imagined their 2 CB's would win everything in the air against us (and did) and that the fast small striker could work (it could well have done IF Mayuka & the rest of the team had been on the same wavelength) But when it clearly wasn't working really could not agree with the substitutions
-
Back at the end of their era they played a gig in what appeared to be a Village Hall in Andover I recall a coach going up there from Salisbury and they were great but youch it was a long time ago

And in 127 years of existence we've never had one of those games before have we. Personally I am glad that the local Pub didn't have the right channel to show the game so I was forced to watch it on the TV in my bedroom. Meant I could roll over, close my eyes and hope it was all a bad dream. it wasn't. When you watch a game hoping that 1) SDR doesn't make a fool of himself, (he didn't) and even give up swearing at Puncheon/Ramirez and the only words that come out your mouth are FFS SOMEBODY F***CKING SHOOT, you kina wish the World HAD ended on Friday

Although, as indicated by someone else in the match fred. IMHO, the "young gentleman" (who should be made to pay for two seats) who was shown on the Telly wearing a This Season Home Shirt that was at least 3 sizes too small for him should also be banned. What sort of Image does THAT give or our club. -
Pompey are moving to London now? Jeez, this thread never fails to amaze

Well. Thinking it over. With AL out we need to keep Gaston Central so it means we need Guly & Puncheon. Yeah everyone hates Guly, BUT in his last two cameo appearances he at least showed determination. SDR actually did look like a footballer. I get the feeling that somehow he simply gets on the pitch and his brain goes to sleep when he has the chance to play a ball in. (so reminds me of Chicken George & Terry Curran) Puncheon was back to his worst. I know there has been a love in with him lately BUT he has to step up to the plate and battle for the right to look good. Too many times today he simply looked like a headless chicken running into dead ends again. For those pushing for us to give him a big contract, there has to be more consistency from him first. Gaston simply seemed to need more time on the ball than Sunderland allowed him. It was a similar thing with AL early in the season. Sunderland kept it much more simple in the conditions, Gaston just saw the ball ping off him as he tried his flicks. Blue Line lessons taught, but have we learnt from them? NA has said it so often - We have to FIGHT for the right to play our football, we didn't do that today. Oh and not mentioned - Brilliant save by KD in the first 30 seconds of the game and ALMOST a howler in the second half. At least he saved a shot that was on his near post today.
-
Great credit to MON for his tactics today. Sunderland worked their socks off to close us down and deny our creative players any space. Once they stopped Puncheon & with Ramirez having a cameo game we didn't have enough nous to find a way out of the stranglehold. Dreadful result, makes Xmas very tough now. Oh and a well done to SDR for not looking awful when he came on and putting the ONLY decent cross in all day from his first corner. Shame about every other ball. Those who have said Puncheon is a flat track bully? Yep been proven (again) today. Taters comment? Worst they have seen us play since Wigan
-
Cock. Where's the kitchen sink when you need one
-
So the key issue today is that Puncheon has been rubbish. Due to MON's tactics of closing him out of the game apparently And a lack of quality ball into the box until SDR's cormer
-
Mayuka certainly is NOT rubbish. Raw yes, but any idiot can see he has quality. What he is lacking at the moment is the "telepathic" level of understanding his role in the game. Not surprising considering his lack of game time. Still good news is he will wear their CB's out for JRod to make a difference Too many touches around the box, too many balls looking for Mayuka in the air when Rickie pulls 2 defenders out the centre. Wet pitch cannot be helping but until their goal Sunderland looked awful. Anyway chill, we've never won a PL game with Howard Webb in charge. He proved that by not giving a clear penalty. Ceullar went right through Mayuka. Nailed on in all the replays Oh and Lambert? Really? Jeez that man just seems to walk around, beat players and make wonder passes. Getting better and more intelligent every game. So nearly got through as well
-
Oh FFS from nothing SHOOT Saints
-
Bearsy needs to have a word with him, he'll soon put him straight TV picked out a Red & White Striped Santa hat. Was that a protest against Turkish or NC wanting stripes back?
