Press have been linking us with both Paul Robinson & Jack Butland again. Haven't seen either play this season but with Boruc only signed to Jan think we have an idea what is coming
-
So, the end of the month rapidly approaches. January is the transfer window. How many of their monthly contract players will re-sign on 1st Jan and tie themselves in when they could go to a real club? Could be a nervous few days down the road as they head for the 15th Jan

Anytime my friend, anytime. Just PM... Hmm maybe I'll have to join you on that golf tour, some great courses around the big City (GolfAsian.com is good)

Let us not forget Fireball XL5 please gang. Couple of episodes of that scared the bejeezus out of me long before I was old enough to be scared behind the sofa by Doctor Who & The Cybermen. Another little part of our Childhood has passed away this week. His shows seemed to add something shared to our lives that Call of Duty UEFA 279 etc don't quite get.

Really think this is a Guly game. While not our most gifted he has a great engine, has seemed one level more fired up than many other players in his cameo roles last couple of weeks and has the advantage of being helpful in the air. Perhaps starting him wide right with Puncheon left may balance the side again and let Ramirez play in the hole. Davies on the bench. Not sure about KD for this one either. Downside at the moment is that I'm struggling to find anyone else to come down the pub to watch. REALLY not the game you want to be sitting alone for as I think we will get bullied, but with Shawcross being out that is a huge boost. Most of our Dubai massive are away for Xmas & NYE (we were down to 4 yesterday boo).

Fulham 1 Saints 1 - Post Match Reactions & MotM

Puncheon again ran into his blind alleys - 11 mins gets into a great position & just kicks the ball in the direction of the goal without looking up. 13 mins does it again. That's why we need 2 wingers he has the skill but not the brain. Great work by Cork to set up a chance in the 1st half that seemed to start the battling part of the display. We improved immensely when Gaston went into the hole, he HAS to stay in that role if he is playing. I'd have brought SRL off and put Guly or Mayuka out wide towards the end. Then we get the penalty. What do I know. SRL was off his game all day, maybe needs a break. Why didn't KD take a step towards the ball when that cross came in - looked like he went down too early and stretched - another GK mistake costing us points? Possibly Luke Shaw - again awesome- made one mistake nearly cost us but he admitted it and got on with the game. Thought we lost some momentum when JRod came on, we got less of the ball in MF, that sub was too late in the game but hey we got the Pen with him on the pitch. Sometimes I'm glad I can't get to games, most times I miss it immensely. Today (& Saturday) I'm glad I didn't go & get soaked & frozen. Respect to all who made it without trains/tubes I'll take a battling point any day of the week, now get the wise players in with quality and a BRAIN -
Excellent News. Congratulations to Terry. Is a really excellent pundit on TV these days. Excellent Decision by the Club.

NA talked about rotation before Sunderland Game. So taking the team selection as a 4 game session where key players may only mange 3 of them. Makes sense to drop SRL to the bench and start with JRod today and possibly Guly in the hole (unless NA thinks hcdaj on the left) Rotates around to have Guly JRod & Lambert in the team for Stoke with possibly Gaston rested maybe even Richardson in for the game giving Shaw or Clyne a rest and back to a full strength (ex AL) against Arsenal. So I expect ...........Davis Clyne Fonte Yoshida Shaw ....Davis .... Cork Puncheon ..... Guly .......Ramirez ........JRod Morgan getting 30 mins off the bench for Cork, Mayuka for Puncheon a possibility

Invited a mate round for Xmas Dinner (Damascus Saint) Astonishingly he brought me a box of 25 Cigars. Davidoff Grand Cru #1 I just googled the cost. Holy Sh1t. Wish he'd bought me a Ferrari instead.... Oh & I don't actually smoke Cigars, may just make an exception in this case

Oh come on, SERIOUSLY? Just discovered that the bag of Frozen Sprouts I thought I had in the Freezer turned out to be a bag of Mushy Peas. SECOND trip to the shop of the morning (They had restocked on Turkey Foil at 08:45 phew) Yeah I know the old Sprouts v Cabbage argument. Well Damascus Saint is coming for lunch so I simply HAVE to inflict them on him. (And no I cannot do it with the whole Lardons and stuuf as he "prefers" not to eat Pork while guzzling his Vino) (And no fresh ones down here? Nah, They take almost a week from the farm to the airplane let alone sitting on the shelf)

I had an Orange Austin Allegro while I was at College. Does that give me -20? One important question left out the quiz though. Do you cook the Sunday Roast/Xmas Dinner - that has to be +3 for each.

Favourite Christmas Carols from Salisbury Cathedral I'll have you know. The Now That's What I Call Xmas 1995 (I got it in a sale at HMV) has not survived being used as a beer mat all year. Luckily I found A Happy Mambo Christmas (from The Daily Mail I think). Why? I mean, just why? Anyway just finished Wigilia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wigilia And realised I forgot to buy any Rennies

Forget to buy a new CD of Christmas Songs. Just spend 25 minutes looking for the only 1 I have in the house, it's now 11 years old.

ROFL - drive past this morning on way to work there was about a 3km queue to get into the local one reports that all of them were mobbed. Went to A&E this pm to get the plonk and the shelves were decimated Only had Tinned Potatoes in the Spinneys Spud section next door! Park & Shop had queues lasting 30 mins this am. But like you said it is sweet having somewhere to go to buy batteries on Xmas morning...... Although tomorrow main focus will be seeing if anyone has restocked on Tomato Juice for the Bloody Mary's. Went to 3 shops this pm and found the last bottle of Tabasco BM Mix for 5 quid Ouch. Innernet shopping hasn't really caught on down here! Oh and Bearsy? Better check the Traffic News before you leave or you may be typing on here at 3am from a Jam somewhere close to the M25

More importantly, is that Tash stuck on upside down?

Get her one of them big Road Atlas's and tell her to get her ass down to yours next year so you can spend Xmas Day on the Muppet Show
-
Depending on where you are in the world Xmas starts this evening (for our European members) or way ahead on 7th January for our more Orthodox types. Anyway I thought we should have a Thread for getting sympathy (ie being called a muppet) when you discover you forgot to buy something critical for Dinner or Aunt Bessie turns up unexpectedly and you don't have a present. I've just had the Turkey Foil moment. Forgot it on every trip to the shops this week and now nobody has any left in stock. And don't get me started on Bread Sauce Mix.... where's the damned recipe book? WHAT? Where the hell am I supposed to find 4 day old bread at this time of night Delia? I've just spent 3 hours going round supermarkets looking for tinfoil FFS.

Too true. Never had this endless discussion malarky back in the days of Charlie George. Merry Christmas THEVMAN and thanks for all the hints. Meanwqhile, some footballers will do anything to be able to be out and about clubbing at New Year
