That's fair. It was actually a good film, we had a run of all the Bond Movies and OK George wasn't great but the film itself was decent (and not as "daft" as say Moonraker" now looks). The Snow Blower is still one of the better "Baddie Extra getting topped" moments, and George almost acted when Diana Rigg got shot :-)

MLT stated that a player was believed to be 80% signed and we had not speculated about the name on here. NA then said in his interview AFTER MLT had posted that he hoped to bring in a signing this week that was NOT Lee and was NOT Hooper - is another player. Think that makes his post & info pretty damned accurate TBH.

Would disagree on that one. Brett had a great scoring record up at Blackpool. He had scored 20 goals in 27 games in 01/02 and 27 in 49 the season before. 4 other PL clubs were in for him at over 1mil. If anything I would say that he "disappointed me". Of course he was a fantastic TEAM player, (and would always have been first name on my team sheet) but once he joined us his goal scoring dried up - 1 goal (on his debut) in 18 matches in his first season. We thought we'd bought a player who would get 15/20 goals a season and we got 11 League goals in 98 appearances... (note again, this doesn't mean that I do not think he was a great player, just I thought we'd bought a natural goal scorer and he wasn't)

We all thought we were fine at Left Back with Harding, Dickson Mills & Reeves, yet we brought in Fox. Our style of play & the 3 CM midfield places a heavier reliance on the full backs so yes could have legs. Would then mean AL Lee & to an extent Guly offer the options in the Diamond with Hooper & RL up front. SDR, Holmes, Guly & AL out wide offer the options for the rest of the season if we need to play 2CM's Yeah, could work

Same logic was going through my head this morning. OK we could assume LB may move on - injuries and the fact he is a 100% effort hustle & bustle goal scorer, not as confortable with the ball at his feet as say DC is, but again Hooper & lee would only come if they were playing regularly. Perhaps NA thinks Lee will take a while to settle in England but is a bargain for when we need his attributes in the PL so can bring him on slowly. Or has someone come in with a stupid bid for Rickie? Life is never as simple as Computer Games
