BBC Entertainment (One of our Sat channels down here) had a brainwave this week. They changed their local Broadcast timings to match OUR time zone. With the dramatic effect of suddenly having something OTHER than Doctors or Weakest Link on from 9pm onwards. OK so the stuff is still 2009 Vintage but the first effort tonight Ideal Live at The Apollo Little Britain (one of their best ever episodes - the trip to the Opera & another Gay in The Village) followed by a cracking (for us) TV Movie Freefall that actually made you want to go and punch the Mortgage Salesman. Things are picking up, (apart from the fact that Dr Who on Saturday is the Voyage of The Damned where Doc falls for Kylie)

You thought Corp Ho would make a good manager at SMS??? Jeez this thread HAS got confusing

I'm agreeing with Verbal - that's a first I think Don't think many people who haven't been down here actually realise how dangerous "trouble in the Straits" can be to them. It is a very narrow bottle neck well in reach of Missile Technology that Iran USED some 20/30 years ago (they still do diving trips to some of the Supertankers at the bottom of the Straits). You have a HUGE percentage of the Gulf's Oil coming out through there - Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain (not so much these days) the main Abu Dhabi Fields and increasingly Iraq. China & Greece rely on Iranian oil. Sure there are other sources, but if they start taking tankers out in retaliation it won't be only the price of fuel that people will have to worry about but also the availability. A major jump in EU wide energy costs would be REALLY damaging to already damaged economies. You can also guarantee that iIF Iran starts popping off Silkworm missiles, they'll do it from Populated areas just waiting for the Western Navies to retaliate and blow up a few hundred unfortunate civilians. And then they close the air lanes which puts pressure elsewhere and delays and will increase the cost of airfreighted food stuffs and and and... Obama isn't stupid enough to Bomb Iran.... Hmmm, but a bunch of Kids pressing Video Game buttons on Destroyers, hell a couple of missiles sent in the Direction of a US Nuclear Powered Carrier.

Lol I got it because First Row is presented in Judder Vision down here Yeah Sat, OSN HD box with second slot. I had the service during WC 2010 but expired just realised old box blew up so that may be it. No chance to get through on phone at weekend so pinged them an email with the info to tech support. Have left it on that channel & done the whole reboot thing. Oh for the Sky Monopoly

Stories we've seen are that FL have put a team of specialist accountants onto the case. Which makes sense as any decision could be challenged in the courts IF it was in anyway "subjective"

Back home after a trek across Dubai to find an Al Jism agent. (Thanks to EoA I actually had advance notice we were going to be on telly here) Bought a new Sat Decoder card (US$100 for a year) so that can watch nPc CL & 6 Nations. Got home, followed the instructions to the letter while installing it. You know what happens next don't you.... Correct, isn't working, their Customer Service re-opens on Sunday. What date is it today? Serves me right I guess. Oh well will try email

It's obvious, they'll get a sensible bloke with a few quid, who knows what he is doing and will run the club carefully within it's means after ensuring the debts are cleared. No, surely not. That is WAY too far fetched, even for this thread

Point is though Pap, the thread title is "Is a US Led War with Iran inevitable" Not "Should the US Declare war on Iran" Looking at the US Political scene, knowing that it is all about point scoring for another year or so, then the Rhetoric will keep being cranked up over there. No candidate will get a nomination if he ignores "The Iran problem" Then it comes down to Sabre rattling, the Iranians already held "a tad aggressive" set of Exercises in the Straits of Hormuz & threatened to blow a US Carrier out the water if it came back. Unfortunately, as with many other threads, the I am right has taken it off topic. War with Iran is insane, but it is highly possible, and the Yanks have already made one huge mistake (Iran Air) and it will kick off if they do it again. How long will Iran put up with Car Bombs before they escalate by using their Proxies to do something in Israel? The spiral started years ago. Both sides have to be very careful

Which is the answer of course, and now, that Dubya has gone your last sentence is very true. The West HAS to keep up the pressure, has to keep the regime jumping and off balance as there is no way they have the resource to drive the start of the green revolution 2. What is more if they DID then the people would not respond. Like a lot of this part of the world, they like what the West produces but not it's Politics. A revolution should be able to replace the Clerics but would still be Islamic Technocrats running the show - of which Ahmabadman is one anyway

6 mil is actually 5 mil plus Puncheon (who may actually become a star up north) Which is not that much more than we were talking about for the nPc players. It's all about PR & negotiating Lennon shows he got 6 mil keeps the fans quietened down a bit We get rid of Puncheon

True, but it IS a step up from 606 or Not 606

You took the wrong side of my point. The Green uprising (first time FB & Twitter tried to bring down a regime) was obviously inspired by the people who wanted change. The population of 150 million is by West Asian standards well educated and they have a highly developed "Middle Class". US war with Iran is inevitable because sooner or later someone will make a mistake OR Israel will take a valued judgement on a first strike option BEFORE they can deploy the bomb to their ICBM's. Leadership on BOTH sides are pushing it in that direction with their rhetoric. That doesn't make it RIGHT it just makes it LIKELY. The solution is reform from inside via another uprising, The authorities have tightened up with hacking and monitoring of the people so removing any chance to use Social Media as easily. As for China - that one will be decided by Oil. She needs Iran's oil (and to an extent Agricultural exports) and will not do anything apart from try to ensure she maintains the status quo

Trust us. If WE had made it up it would not have been as silly as what ACTUALLY happened. Anyways, a grumpy American/Scillian bloke who runs a very poor Cafe on the Groundfloor in Oklahoma, and who once owned Salerno FC in Italy for 11 weeks (paying and investing nothing) and who has a company that designs and builds underwater casinos (total built since 2000 - approximately zero) and who has $13,000 in the bank and who's company is listed as NOT being a going concern by NYSE authorities with a share price of $0.002 was interviewed by an undercover Saints fan and splashed all over the News, and a web chat then occured on the News Web Site that was hijacked by TSW members. Oh and he allegedly discovered Lionel Messi Think that's about it
-
Has he signed yet? Well, he is a transfer target from Scotland.

If it came to a vote, would we prefer to keep the currently banned or keep having to tolerate certain people who ruin the match thread with uninformed negativity? Stupid question, sorry it's late bring em all back before it's too late and do what this place really needs

Lol, you've been on the Hot Chocolate with Rum & Squirty Cream again haven't you!

And woosh

Oh IF ONLY... We call it that because it is w*** Spent 30 minutes hitting redial trying to get through to them to renew my card so I can watch Saturday. Customer Service? Oh no Sir, this is Qatar we are not having the service of the customer here..... Their web site normally gets updated with "What's On" one week late, Christ knows how EoA found it was on Saturday must have used a Divining Rod rather than their web site

OK back to geo-politics. Who STARTED the Arab Spring uprisings? Who had the model that everyone else used? Some have asked WHY keep stirring the pot? Now answer those questions, then understand that Iran IS building a Nuke. Then - decide, which course of action is actually better? Stir the pot, keep increasing pressue on the nation (BEFORE they get a Nuke) and hope that the educated Middle Classes finally arise again, and bump off a Scientist whenever you can. OR Wait until they actually HAVE a bomb. Perspective. Now is a war probable? yes because more likely than not the sabre rattling will cause another mistake (like the unfortunate Souls on the Iran Air A300 Airbus)

Found this on Wiki, honest Think that covers the Octopussy script

Listening again to her album There is no doubt if she comes up with stuff even only half as good (and gets over her throat problems) that Adele is going to be on these lists for a long time to come

Actually - yup And the same franchise's version of Van Helsing was pretty grim as well
