Thanks, it's late here, jet lag and all that

OK so on a serious note. We all noticed last year that the pitch was VERY different from anything that we had played upon before (especially in Salisbury & District League Div 7) The best description was that it was like one of Mrs H's failed Sponge cakes that had been toasted under a grill. IF you Sky TV subscription has BBC Lifestyle then I recommend watching out for the many repeats of The Daily Cooks Challenge when they will show you how to make a sponge for 50p. Failing that get an old mattress off the bed onto the floor and aim to spend 45 minutes running on the spot. this has two important benefits - 1) The mattress won't be on the bed so you'll find it easier to comply with the No Sex before a big game tactic and 2) If you can last more than 5 minutes you SHOULD get through the required 30 minutes at SMS. Obviously that 30min number is important as it then brings the rolling substitute plan back into play as players "do a Drojbaj"

Ouch I remember that one as well, VERY hostile and a couple of the lads from our coach got caught on the way out the tunnel from the "End". We went to help get them out and the cops fnally came. Thought that was it but they'd seen the whole thing and got us back to the bus in one piece. Jeez was that '73? Before the game it all seemed fine I recall we were even allowed into their club at thr ground for a few beers.

Flicking through the channels tonight and found my all time favourite movie. The perfect end to a perfect day with the Skates demise... Probably the only film I have watched where the ONLY thing a remake could do better is to update the music. Kelly's Heroes. Enough Said Always with the negative waves Moriarity. Perfect

Yup Oh and I edited it slightly so it would work as my new facebook Avatar for my skate mate down here

Just remember that when it happens for real SOMEBODY has to get in there at night and bury a Saints Shirt

I think the magic word you are looking for is "His Legacy" He steps down in March, The FL teams know what Pompey tried to do to rip off HMRC and EVERY FL club will know what is happening to Bournemouth and others and the new "hard stance". People with egos who talk big need to be able to back it up, because when they get dragged back down into the real world a LOT of people can be VERY jealous and they can hurt.

I have a very bad feeling about that, & I don't think Taksin will be thinking of pulling strings in the UK for a few months. Sadly, it could all kick off again in Thailand as a result of that which is a damned shame

In May there is the somewhat very major event that is The Return of The Forum Match. There are a lot of gaps that can never be typed but anyone coming to watch the game who comes for the quiet Orange Juice afterwards - I will be happy to oblige. The "you don't know the half of it" line is the one that kept me PMSL all through this. Not in the quiet, calm and professional way that FF managed but still, I'll do my best, it will still have SOME gaps but it will be funneh. Meanwhile for all the bollix I have posted over the past months I apologise, but having Corpy & then their forum have a dig at me in the past couple of days let's me know I hit the spot. That was sweet. Now, as I've been down here for 16 years, could someone explain what I should look for in a Pony? I once won 1/250th of a syndicate ownership of a racehorse in a raffle from a Gas station but I guess that was a little bigger than a Pony. Still think I'd prefer a camel. Personally I thought it was some ****ney money issue..... Which makes sense to me when spoken by the Few. So who's the Pony fiddler now Storrie?

On a totally and completely different subject.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/7325426/Russian-prosecutor-accuses-Britain-of-harbouring-fugitives.html :-)

Chillax Nick. The CVA rule applies to not getting a points deduction next season. But next season they will be in the CCC with the Law of Lord Haw Haw. The FL are under huge pressure from HMRC with many more clubs facing trouble than the FAPL. As we saw, the FL can interpret their rules as they feel fit (they beat off a lot of legal brains to give us -10). Which is my way of saying that while they may get a CVA without HMRC, but the FL will be very wary of further annoying HMR and the FL already have their own rule that they can interpret - it will be called Financial Irregularities. As Poorsmuff will HAVE to apply for membership of the CCC and to get their licence back they will get the same answer we got - minus 10 (or more) and you appeal we will wait until the appeal is heard before we allow you in our league. Should be in court in what? October? Barrel over

Marco. IMHO it wil go like this. Hello PL? My name is Fred from Ocean Finance. We have been asked by Mr Android to help stop your Premier League being all messed up. We will lend the club 18mil to get through to the end of the season. We have a letter from Mr Android to say that IF we give him the cash then he will let you pay us the 5mil TV money directly in May or whenever, and then you will pay us the first season of Parachute Money. We know that adds up to 21 mil but that is our interest. Hopefully that will be all done, you do not pay the money early, you just change the bank details on your computer. This way everyone wins, Mr Android can save the club, you can stop West Ham losing 6 points annoying Mr Sullivan and we make a nice little earner. Any problems? OK so I'll send you the file from our computer rather than the one in Mr Adnroid's office as that seems to lose files too often. Have a nice day

The owner appoints the Directors. The Directors owe a Duty of Care to the owner but also to Corporate Governance. You died the day Gaydamark decided to get out - we agree on that. Your Directors made a bad situation worse by failing to perform effective Due Dilligence of their own on first Fahim and then Al Mirage. History shows that to be a fact - they have to recommend a takeover to the shareholders (unless it is hostile). What transpired in the Storrie vs Gaydamark vs different syndicates "arguments" is a really big part of your mess. Blaming Al Fahim & Al Mirage for being to blame for the position (which you don't TBF) is like blaming LLS for failing to save Bournemouth or balming the PL. Gaydamark accepted the deal from Al Fahim. Al Fahim had no money of his own. That is where you should start looking. Was Storrie involved? Could he have used his position to influence the acceptance of Al Fahim or rejection of others? Did he have a personal interest? All questions hat should be asked. Storrie may be much much more than a Pantomime Villain, or he could be the innocent man.... (yeah right only for THAT snafu, not the overspends) But my point about "should have admin'd sooner" stands.
-
Well it finally came to pass. I won't gloat, I'll just finally state my case, of which I'm certain (oh sh1t THAT song again - sorry) The club was toast the moment Gaydamark decided to pull the plug. The abject failure of the Directors to perform their own Due Dilligence on the supposed buyers was IMHO criminal. Every decision they made since the plug was pulled has caused more damage to small businesses, and caused more harm to the PL reputation. The ONLY beneficiaries for that appalling failure of Corporate Governance were the players and of course us. It is a happy day for Saints fans after the stick we took. I hope it wll be a happy day for football as the Authorities FINALLY wake up and get their sh1t together. But this day should have happened last summer and ntil the people responsible show ONE small sign of remorse then I do hope they die a long lingering death. If they admit their failings then fair enough, the real fans at that club don't deserve this. But like others this could be a pre-pack and the smell may linger AFC Pompey may still be a wise decision guys

Could have been irony or could have been bait. I couldn't resist it because the original let's go to march on Storrie's house - where is it? reminded me so much of their plan to have a protest at the Old Bailey for their WUO hearing.... What do you catch when you bait a hook? I know they're rare these days and clse to being a protected species, but with the right timing you can catch A muppet Oh nonono sorry a Skate!

:smt082 Love it.. Does that mean I touched a raw nerve tee hee Anyway, like where the FECK am I going to find a Fecking Pony down here... It's CAMELS in this part of the world you muppet! Oh, and thanks to the way their forum works it looks like he is saying that about Storrie Teller
-
You know how it went don't you.... Hello Mr Android? Storrieteller here. Oh Gawd you. Yes that's right, look I'm happy to sign up to stay on, I know you would like to get a deal done as quickly as possible. I have had a phone call and an email and I know that I can get someobody to buy the club from you in the net 48 hours. If you keep me on the payroll I won't need to charge the buyers an engagement and success fee so that will save lots of money for the new club to be able to get straight back into the PL. My fans need me, you need me, I'll see you in the morning, looking forward to working with you... Android "Anyone got a copy of Yellow Pages, we need a Locksmith urgent"

That's the ONLY part of this whole affair that bugs you? Perhaps starting earlier with Sacha his record of companies going bust and why everything was a loan not "his own money" is the place to start

But you can bet that the Chairmen of clubs in the bottom 6 at the moment will be voting to make sure the PL give enough funds to the Administrator in advance to ensure that James can play against the likes of Burnley and others..... Cannot see Sunderland for example voting to let them play an academy team against Burnley. Those clubs will want them to be able to play their strongest team in such matches...
-
Hmmmmmm In that case Why the feck didn't Fry cancel Wotton Saga James Morgan delete as appropriate to your opinions of the players at the time

Oi! I have met some very nice goat herders in Syria and Jordan One was even a Coptic. A Traffic Coptic apparently
-
Agree with most of that except yoou have misundestood the spin regarding the wording "costs of administration". That is pretty much going to be the administrators FEES, not the running cost of the business in admin. the day to day costs will be covered by the PL - they have said as much - by use of the TV money. I doubt the PL will advance any money but I expect that they can give guarantees that it would be paid to a lender to the club in admin to pay opex. Remember, the PL will do a deal to keep the club in business to the end of season and also in a manner so that they do NOT have to play their Academy each week - anything else would be cried foul by the teams affected by results BEFORE admin The owners, Storrie et al won't get near that cash UNTIL the costs of running the club are covered - I'd expect to see it described as "Helping the club restructure for the future and helping a historical relic world's best fans etc. Left overs will go to cover the offer for the CVA

you are quite right, we certainly haven't got anything right. I mean here we were back in August gettng it so completely wrong Being battered isn't their only problem. SBT is now being reported as having only around 60-70mil which in terms of "disposable assets" at this point is probably about right. He was NEVER the money man at Man City despite ALL his public pronouncements at the time (and how fast did his "mates" move him out of THAT seat... This time he tried the same trick with Taksin and got rumbled and is now trying to simply save face. SBT was never really more than a whacko Jacko with a suntan and an understanding of PR and a spell checker. They have to repay debt fast so players go. SBT will not have the same borrowing power that "Pops" had for his boy. So, IF the deal goes through, SBT gets the club for a quid and his disposable wealth is less than is needed to rebuild a "properly costed and sustainable wage bill", and he has a transfer window about to close... Buy a new squad, get it to gel in the last month of the window - nope won't happen.... In the WORST case, the deal itself falls flat and they fall into admin, THEN what is there for the administrator to sell? 1) A PL income for one year plus parachute payments 2) Admin will not end before the window shuts - so no sqaud improvements possible except for some Bosmans, so even if a money man came in he couldn't spend until January 3) Little or no tangible assets, a high maintenance old stadium and a fanbase disgruntled at the exhorbitant prices they have been forced to pay for ST's Those conditions rule out asset strippers and make it impossible to plan a leveraged buy-out unless the administrator accepts a very low bid. Then a season of PL wallopings but still some PL salaries for the CCC. Then also compare them with other clubs up for sale at the moment, which would be the better investment opportunity for anyone other than a wealthy fan? Their BEST bet in that situation is an MJ type who can milk the parachute payments, worst case, they may not FIND a buyer. No assets, limited squad, recession... they have UNCERTAINTY about their future, IMHO as we've just experienced, that is a far more worrying position to be in AT THIS moment in time than being in L1 with a season ahead of us. So to be fair it took longer and 2 more owners and of course I didn't see the asset strippers being the owners. But even from this link Thorpie was also spot on, how many games have they won to date this season?
