Lol I don't like to keep harping on at the fact that we seem to be intellectually superior to them, but considering that we know where he lives, we know he has planning permission and has already started work on his extension....... And they get Does anyone know his exact address details??? . Someone should drop them a hint that it's on Portsea Island

Great scenario for a 150mil gamble. We all know that football club takeovers happen in less than a week don't we. Or would they be looking at the remnants of the squad and going hmmm. Now the ONLY way anyone could sell that type of deal would be to Oh yes have a dodgy geezer in a white coat helping out Let's watch the clock shall we Yes, lets. What you're forgetting is that Storrie doesn't have to pass a FPPT and crucially, neither does David Dein having already got a clean track record with Arsenal. If they then get A.N. Others onboard with less than 10% stakes each, they also don't have to have a FPPT. There are ways and means....

If our ownership is split between Storrie and AL Fahim it will be a disaster. If that is the case get some throat medicine in You'll be laughing at our expense for the next couple of years. We seem to have swapped structures. Give me a single owner any day.

Yes it's a bit* of a mess at Fratton Park right now, but as you all know these things (can) change. SAF may well not have the funds himself, nobody really knows but him, but it seems pretty clear that he doesn't plan on going it alone. Ps. Officially, PFC does have an academy, which isn't looking bad at all, so at least there is something to look forward to *Understatement of 2009

It occurred to me that we have around 450 pages of entertainment on numerous threads regarding the demise of our neighbours. Many have commented on the entertainment value but tucked within the many pages are numerous moments of magical comments. Eric started the idea with The Sayings of Corporate Ho but I felt that from a purely historical perspective we shoud have a thread without comments, without digs and without padding that simply records blue few posts that have contributed to our entertainment. Sort of a takeover thread light. So this is not a thread for criticism or digs, some of the guys have been very open an honest and added great value, for this, simply posting the quote says it all. Many of us will remember something or will stumble on a gem around page 127 of the big thread by accident. Stick em here and let's enjoy

Apparently the Mary Rose is being readied to run Booze Cruises next year for tourists. Stupid I hear? Well, it's a hell of a lot more likely than Poorsmuff ever getting back into the PL
-
Wow missed this - was eating. So does this mean this thread could be going National? OMG the pressure! Do we have our image rights contracts all sorted out? I can probably handle the offshore bits but I'm really worried for the admins with the extra publicity the activity on the server could get out of hand. Maybe we should sell advertising space (for Admin & Insolvency Companies) to pay for the upgrade needed
-
I know it is evil, but wouldn't it be nice if nothing except the Admin happened tomorrow. And then on Monday as some have speculated, Chanrai was told "Well actually, sorry, the date of the issunce of the WUO was December and you have done this after that date, it is invalid. Once in admin he will go to the back of the queue and it will be too late to back out. hehehe:smt077

It's spin, as owner who put them into admin the skate chat bloke says he atually has to do it

Two points 1) You guys are fecking useless. This is a TAKEOVER thread. Today is Thursday. It is the last day of our working week, therefore as has been debated and explained to death, today IS Friday. The Skates are just about to start to learn this as well (although maybe not, don't think that many would grasp the concept) 2) Ho is totally wrong about the PL not helping. Again it is the hugely simplistic viewpoint we have seen from that end of the M27. What is "helping" - mongview - "they won't give us our money". Reality, they have rules and processes so correct, the PL will not give them any money. However in public the PL has already helped - they have paid TV money direct to creditors (which is why they are in admin because Chanrai thought he had that nailed down for himself) THAT is helping the CLUB, without that they would have got creamed at the WUO hearing. Then there is "Here are the rules" oh, look it does not say that we could NOT do X,Y,Z. So in that area, the PL for example COULD transfer a guarantee that the TV payment would be granted in the future as security to say a bank against a loan to the Administrator. Now that it will not affect their competitive position in the League that is likely to be approved. In fact the PL will have vested INTEREST in ensuring that post admin poorsmuff remain as (un) competitive to the end of the season as they were pre-admin. These are not "conspiracy" theories they are an analysis of the information we are seeing. It's like that "ITK dig" from Ho. Media - 4 parties in discussions. My response - Oh dear. Anlysis - something MUST have changed. Next up, who could the 4 parties be - PL, HMRC & Administrators. Well yes one of them was the PL. Does ANYONE think Chanrai would have pulled the plug IF the PL had NOT been in discussions? - lol
-
Anyway, don't worry Ho. It's Friday today - go start your own "it wll happen on a Friday thead" And also, now admin is all but confirmed you and we ll know full well that there will be two parties guaranteed to want to buy the club. Pinnalce & LLS
-
Very few if any has said that, neither on here or in the media. What everyone has said is "who would want to buy them?" There is a difference. For us and the media the difference is how we can sift between Storrie's proven BS and the facts that are in the air. Many people may want to buy the club. Devoted and wealthy fans, alleged money launderers, UK residency visa seekes, property developers or even somebody who could find a use for 4 years worth of tax losses. The difference between this thread and skate forums is that people come on here to seek clarification or ask questions. Read some of the media analysis instead of complaining about it and you will get the point
-
Don't be silly. This is the Portsmuff takeover thread. 350 pages and you STILL haven't learnt the simplest fact. Nothing EVER goes as expected down the road
-
I guess the ext few days we will learn some new stuff - namely just how good Chanrai's lawyers actually are. I am sure that a lot of people will be going through it with a fine tooth comb to find any little chink in the paperwork armour

To be closely followed by Avram Grant was resigned from his position as first team manager. In the light of the new financial situation I felt it was only right for me to leave so that the club could use the remainder of this season to give their new manager Nickh time to gain much needed first team experience. (translated to the bstds agreed to pay me at least one month's wages if I did a runner from a no win situation) the only one it won't apply to will be Storrie, his will read.. Storrie still handcuffed to floodlight pylon. Due to Health & Safety Issues, the emergency services have been unable to climb the pylon to release Mr Storrie. Storrie was was allegedly resigned on the appointment of Computer Hackers, who's chief Administrator Mr Android said that they understood Mr Storrie was armed with a well charged Blackberry and was insisting that a new buyer was close and that he was just looking out for them. They appreciated his dedication to the cause but felt that after 6 weeks on the pylon he should now come down or he would shortly smell worse than TCWTB and the odour was having an impact on attendances. It was also felt that having a Harrod's Hamper deliverd by chauffeur each day on company expenses ws not helping create the new image of a Professionally run football club
-
Of course, damn, I normally spot those. "Marc Jacobs was resigned from his position at Fuglers today to concetrate on his on the side job" Exact copy of Jan Poortvliet was resigned from his position at SMS Rupert Lowe was resigned by Mark Fry all allegedly of course

Number 13 gets my vote. Are there any pics to go with it? So, as I understand this, we are going to pick the number of matches that we play next season so we can get the best stats? Haven't seen such dedication to debate about an excel spreadsheet since I left a multi-national - it's just like a regional sales meeting. Well boss there was an election/war/earthquake. Yes but what about the resuts? Was always the reply. The argument doesn't NEED excel. The facts are conclusive. We had a points deduction, we had a bad start, we are drawing too many away games against teams, we have spent a lot of money. The facts are irrlevant they cannot be changed, how they are interpreted is the crucial argument. Are we having a good season - Yes Are we having a season that is better than we hoped for in May/June - Yes Are we having a season that is good enough to keep all fans happy - No Are we having a season that is good enough for NC & ML? - How the FECK do we know? How do we know what their inner thinking is? How do we know that the PR statements are aimed at appeasing us or kicking AP's arse. There is one plain fact that Nick's figures show So to shoot down his own argument (well reasoned BTW) have we at ANY point this season ove ANY stretch of selected games acheved the points average levels needed to gain automatic promotion next season? The answer is NO we have not at any time equalled or exceeded the points average needed. Playoffs next season would be a massive failure and a massive lottery. I do not think for one minute the fans management or oners would think that level of performance a success next year. This year - hell who cares, insh'allah we will make the play-offs now.

Employees at Portsmouth face uncertainty about their futures. They could be fired instantly. Local suppliers face little chance of recovering monies owed to them. But Mark Jacob who work for the Al Faraj group - who were responsible for getting the club into this mess leaves a highly paid job to go work there? Peter Storrie expected to be kept on "to help". I'm sorry, but if this happens it will be a disgrace beyond anything else that has happened to date. By comparison, Lowe would deserve a Sainthood for the way he was resigned quietly and with some public dignity. That is how wrong this is. But then why is anyone surprised? The carve up was done over the weekend, surely nobody really believed Storrie was in meetings to save the club? He was bashing out the deal to carve up admin.
-
Actually pretty standard One simple example was "The pouring rights contract" which hacks so many off at SMS... Club announces we have signed a contract worth XYZ, cash comes in we can afford to pay Euell's wages for another few months.... Actual result is that most of us then don't bother to drink the crap served at the ground. That comment is making a molehill out of a zit Don't skates have a tie-up with Canterbury who went bust?

The things some people will do to get a free ticket for football

Maybe, just maybe, the City of Portsmouth is about to start to fall out of love with it's football team. I also think that if the fans believe that there is no reason to form AFC Pompey they will be making a big mistake. Still, at least they didn't lie about meeting "interested parties" those 4 groups have been pretty clearly shown as being stakeholders in the "damage limitation exercise".
