  1. That makes it even BETTER, so he makes all the decisions when sane and THEN has the breakdown So instead of Ford Open Prison he can stay in Broadmoor. Far more appropriate and one decision that will cheer up the few no doubt
  2. I posted that before when the word first came out about PoF. Marc Jackson & Pinnacle both went one step FURTHER than these Yarpies have gone in as much as they BOTH proved funds to Mark Fry. Now if THAT doesn't put the statements from Storrie into perspective, NOTHING will
  3. Some interesting calls in the run up to the final today. Poulter has the focus, Casey suddenly playing catch up on the number of holes played. Spiderman Villegas looking the part. Good news for the Ryder Cup prospects though! And interesting the semi finalists all pulled out of the European Tour Desert Swing early to get extra preparation time in the US for this. (Unlike Fisher, Jimenez & West wood)
  4. PMSL yet more evidence of either 1) How Thick Storrie is or 2) How thick he thinks the club's fans are. This defence was attempted during WW2 Nuremberg Trials - "I was only doing my job, I was only following orders". It didn't work THEN why on EARTH do you think it will work now? So you as CEO who is supposed to be the expert on UK Corporate Law on behalf of a foreigner who will not be an expert on UK Corporate Law will simply do whatever you are told....... You were NOT an Employee, you were a CEO. If Carlsberg did CEO's that Saints fans could wish on their rivals.....
  5. No of course you're not missing anything That's why this is FUN!
  6. Lol thanks for that - teh Everton fan saying Rooney regrets moving to Man U. Are Evertonians skates in disguise?
  7. Every game counts Our first game Millwall the side was Davis, Murty, Thomas, Perry, Harding, James, Wotton, Schneiderlin, Lallana, Patterson, Saga 3 weeks later Trottman had replaced Thomas & Mellis had replaced Wotton it was our 5th game Morgan was on the bench Our 10th game Davis, James, Jaidi, Trottman, Harding, Mellis, Hammond, Schneiderlin, Papa, Lambert & Lallana The changes in the team in that period reflect in the results, as the team gelled the performances improved. We played damned good football against Rovers and naively lost a great game. Results in a season are all that anyone is interested in and our start was slow. The fundamental importance however is that at each window, considering where we started from in the Close Season are we seeing improvement? The answer has to be yes. Is it fast enough for us - for me yes, for others - no. Do new signings take time to settle into a team? Yes which is why few clubs buy many players in the January window. So in answer - GS & Nickg are both right
  8. Oh forgot one Poor Pitches
  9. Yawn. Sorry it's late here not re the same old argument... A different perspective. NC & ML have said that the club must be run as a BUSINESS. Because we are now a Private Company we will not be privy to financial data. If we take them at their word it means that our Income is important amd the more income we earn the more we can invest in the team and facilities. What we do not and in all likelihood will NEVER know is exactly how much CASH ML is investing versus the club making it's own money. People can ASSUME all you like but we all know that simply makes an ass out of U and Me The argument on the footballing side is still open - Lambert is still playing well even having played 40 games, MODERN football teams chop and change every week, so where are our qualifications and experience to be able to justly criticise? Have we drawn too many games this year - yes. What is the reason for that Poor Squad Poor tactics Poor Refs Lack of focus Poor Team Selection Players unable to take the number of games No one person will have the right answer. We need to do better. Today is a start. If that tempo can be kept going then these threads (not just yours Alps) will become irrelevant. If we don't keep going, we'll have a thousand more and no one will be right
  10. I'm sure they must have had help from Al Mirage creating those figures. Yes, of course, habibe, no problem, of course we will stay in the Premier League insh'allah
  11. I'm reminded at this moment of great sadness of that magically voiced comedy star Windsor Davies and his catch line in "It ain't arf Hot Mum" Oh dear, how sad, never mind. Suppose the only downer on the day was that only 17,208 of them turned up to become even more depressed
  12. Of course they did. This has to keep going on and on and on. It can't be all over in just a few days, there's months of fun left yet. Remember what happened to us and what hurt us the most - wasn't the doom, it was the hope that kills you and ours lastest 3 LONG slow painful YEARS
  13. Ah PES, what defines the size of a club? The trophy cabinet? or it's standing and the loyalty of the support? In which case Leeds United may just beg to differ on the largest club to go pop since the war, or were you meaning largest club to cease to exist, in which case yep, sure beats Accrington Stanley, Aldershot et al You tried to make a valid point but couldn't help yourself. If you are to create something new then the FIRST lesson you and your Trust Members MUST learn is to cut out the Fan Friendly rhetoric. Dear old Leon tried that and it is just sad. STFU and get on with the job and the football world will wish you well, sound off about changing the world and Star Wars and you sound like the Wimbledon idiots trying to move to Dublin and our own idiot with his Klingons quote. You guys have no part to play until the crooks and fools in your boardroom play the end game -WHICHEVER way that goes. If it is all bravado then shut up and get on with the work or you'll just look like a poor mans' Storrie
  14. No way I'm getting into an argument about what David Conn says. As some will know I did try and help out at the time and so using that and my knowledge that ML is a very successful businessman, let's leave at "I'll beg to differ" I could of course be wrong and he paid 30 mil or so cash for the club rather than the 14-18mil cash that Mark Fry appeared to be seeking
  15. Excellent Go away to the top team in the league and have well over 50% possession and hit the post twice. Keep the tempo up, avoid silly yellows and we can enjoy the rest of the season
  16. That HAS to be infractable....:smt033
  17. Cricket looks exciting on my score feed Meanwhile BLOODY well done Saints Top Class performance today
  18. Probably worse Meanwhile, when did we last get 10 pages on a match day thread? I'm getting dizzy trying to keep up Oh that's the Chianti
  19. Sounded like Chanrai Stadium Gaydamark and deal for the land.
  20. Sort of rectangular with white metal poles and a net at the back, but that's not important right now
  21. I assume you refer to Saints Player for the last 3 minutes
  22. Good run from Puncheon Well I get one point in the prediction league for having it a 2-2
  23. Barnard yes
  24. FFS hit the post TWICE in 2 minutes Adam get some fecking contact lenses
