  1. But it is OK to call someone a tw*t? If PC is all about good manners, then tw*t would be banned too.
  2. They are extraterrestrials, donchaknow, or isn't that PC anymore?
  3. This Blog (http://www.politicallyincorrect.me.uk/) has some interesting comment, The origins of PC Political Correctness started in a think tank in Germany in 1923. It was going to be called The Institute of Marxism but in order to hide its Marxist roots it became known as The Institute of Social Research. The purpose was to find a solution to the biggest problem facing the implementers of communism in Russia. Why wasn't communism spreading? Because Western Civilization was in its way with its belief in the individual and that an individual could develop valid ideas. At the root of communism was the theory that all valid ideas come from the effect of the social group of the masses. The individual is nothing. And they believed that the only way for communism to advance was to help Western Civilization to destroy itself by undermining its foundations by chipping away at the rights of those annoying individuals. One way to do that? Change their speech and thought patterns by spreading the idea that vocalising your beliefs is disrespectful to others and must be avoided to make up for past inequities and injustices. Then use this to stifle any discussion which might show up the lack of common sense in their ideology. And call it something that sounds positive: "Political Correctness." That is how Political Correctness came about and why it is the tool of the far left in politics. When Hitler took over Germany in 1933, the Institute moved to the USA (as most of the thinkers were Jewish). Our thanks to Bill Lind, read the full article 'The Origins of Political Correctness
  4. I think a 3 year ban is the minimum he should get. He threw two punches and missed with them both. If we go up this season, we will have pompey, cardiff and millwall to contend with. There will be no room for people who can't fight at football.
  5. I hope you all realise what you've done. There will be a "Saints Takeover Thread" started on the pompey board and you know what happened to them since we started their takeover thread!!
  6. not forgetting we play at a ground named after a female saint.
  7. ..... and we are run by someone with a girls name
  8. I thought it was "tottenhamns always running, Arsenals running too" Anyway, how about? Build a bonfire, build a bonfire, Put a cherry on the top Put the skate ****s in the middle and burn the ****ing lot
  9. I didn't say they are the worst in history, merely that they will only get worse as time goes on. The relatively recent rise in the BNP and the exponential growth in the EDL suggests that things are getting worse and are perhaps the worst they have been in the last 20 years. I know you like to be funny (and sometimes you are) but there is always a risk of overdoing it......and not being funny anymore.
  10. It is not the wearing of the garment across the face that is the issue, but how people are treated differently. In the 2004 cup game against popmey, it was particularly cold and I had a scarf across the bottom half of my face. I was section 60'd on my way to the ground. Would I have been section 60'd if I had a burka on? Probably not and therein lies the issue for me. How is it fair that I am treated differently for the 'crime' of partially covering my face (with good reason) whilst others would not be inconvenienced for covering their whole face. That is the issue with the militant islamists in Luton. They were alowed to incite racial hatred, with the police in full view who did nothing. If I was to protest in a similar manner in the centre of Chichester, no doubt I would be arrested. Had the lawmakers at the time dealt with this small handful of islamist nut jobs, perhaps the EDL wouldn't be here now. It is this feeling of unfairness that motivates people to act. I detected a groundswell of opinion 8-9 years ago in the 'lads' pubs around soton on match days where working class males felt they were being ****ed over by the establishment. Back then, the issue was with Eastern Block immigrants.... now that our polak friends have settled in well, it was only a matter of time before someone else would be the target, because at the end of the day, working class males are still being ****ed over. What better place to recruit ****ed off and potentially agressive working class males? FWIW, my view on the EDL is that they are a bunch of ex-hoolies that want a beer up with like minded people with the chance of a bit of a tear up without the consequences of playing up on match day - 2 years custodial for throwing a bottle top or rattling a fence. An EDL demo provides the situation for these people to act out their fantasies without the disproportionate use of the law to punish them. I feel sorry for the 'normal' muslims as they are in the firing line for the moronic actions of a few within their community, however I think they can do more within their own communities to extinguish the fundamentalist threat. Perhaps if they were to do this, the EDL would be defunct. The media no doubt have a part to play as the impression that is given is that the muslim community almost harbours or turns a bind eye to the nutjobs. I would like to see the muslim community do more to combat the nutjobs, but fear that the EDL make them more sympathetic to the nutjob cause. I don't know what the solution is to be honest, but unless someone acts soon, racial tensions will only get worse.
  11. Best joke by a country nile

    Egypt

This is starting to get nasty....clashes between protestors and government sponsored protestors caused 5 deaths and over 800 casualties last night. With no side looking like they will back down, could they be on the verge of civil war? Tunisia have had their revolution and there are protests in Yemen, Jordan and Algeria. Is the middle east on the brink?
  13. We are top of the away table for the season so far (with a better goal difference than Brighton). Therefore our away performance is the best in the League over the season so far. It is in fact our home form that has let us down and is the reason why we are where we are. Bournemouth have won 11 at home, Boro 10 and Brighton/Huddersfield have won 9, whilst we have only managed 7 wins. Many on here go on about our away from when it is our home form that should concern people.
  14. As it stands now, we are top of the away league, only just, with a better goal difference than Brighton. Comparatively speaking our away form is the best in the league. Our home form however, is not so good. We are above Brighton on goal difference in the away league, with a game in hand! It's the home games where we are seriously lacking
  15. Our away win ratio is 50% (6 games from 12) and our home form is 50% (7 from 14), therefore is our away form really that bad? If you consider that we have won more away fixtures than anyone else in Div 3 and that our home wins are 6th equal along with 3 other teams, I wouldn't be so worried about the away fixtures. The teams above us have a better home win ratio (as do quite a few below us).
  16. Premier League? He's 'aving a laugh, but don't tell Holloway, he might go off on one
  17. Didn't hear you make an issue of the EU, or are those tax pounds being shovelled out the door (for the benefit of French farmers) OK with you?
  18. Not a LOL, but very good Verbal. Well done. You have a PM Happy anniversary BTW!
  19. But weren't the lefties against grammar schools? If this program doesn't make the case, then I don't know what does.
  20. This is why I did a sandwich course in the eary 90's (during the last recession) and got had a full time placement for year 3 (which paid OK money). I managed to negotiate a part time role for my final year which automatically turned into a full time role on graduation.
  21. I think you are confusing entrepreneurship with large corporations and there is a big difference. Many of the companies you refer to are listed companies and are not driven by entrepreneurs. Can you name the entrepreneur that drives GSK or Lloyds Bank? Entrepreneurs create businesses, which creates employment and wealth (for all). The more entrepreneurs we have, the more jobs there will be and the better off this nation will be. To bring this back to the point of the thread, with more jobs being created, there will be less of an issue with graduate unemployment. Simple as that.......
  22. Dune, your videos don't work. This does http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00y37gk/Posh_and_Posher_Why_Public_School_Boys_Run_Britain/
  23. Judging by the graduate unemployment thread, you might want to start job hunting now.
  24. Yep, they are such a drain on society Do away with them all I say (Obviously ignoring that they are the best hope of saving this once great nation)
