One of the guys I know who has links to the club did mention a Swedish player a while ago but it was suggested he was more a younger player in the Broja mould (I took that to mean it would be a loan from a big club rather than relating to them being a similar type of player) I hope it is Karlsson though as who doesn't love a scissor kick or some long rangers banged in the top corner.

Big house in the New Forest and then others in Brighton and London. Pay off the mortgages for everyone I know (well, everyone I like) and give other people without mortgages a massive deposit to buy a house. Not a fan of boats so wouldn't bother with one of them. Start a record label, open a chain of recording studios and a venue in Brighton or London. Travel loads and definitely spend a lot of time watching cricket around the world, plus going to random events like Olympics, World Cups etc. Donate a load to local charities rather than national ones.

I've just got a new job at the Uni in Pompey. Was there today helping with the graduation events, and while walking between buildings I saw a half naked man carrying a guitar with a colander on his head and then a bloke on a scooter opposite the Guildhall arguing with some people sat outside a pub, shouting "why don't you just fuck off you dinlos?" What a place.

They got promoted to me on Instagram once and I was in such disbelief that I clicked on a few more videos and then suddenly every time I clicked the search function they were there in my face for weeks. Absolute cretins.

Sorry for the vague "he's not going to Newcastle" posts but I was asked not to say anything. Apparently the offer he had from Chelsea was more than Newcastle, and staying in the South made it an easy decision once they came in for him. Good luck to him.

Monaco tickets on sale now, price goes up tomorrow. Does anyone want 3 tickets for Villarreal? 1 adult and 2 U18's. I bought them but didn't realise we have a family thing that day so can't go. Cost £20 but if anyone wants them they can have them for a tenner.

They had a quote about the new ownership allowing us to be more flexible. Whether that means selling this summer or next summer I don't know but it does seem like they are happy to address it in a positive way.

How is that then? People were saying recently that we wouldn't be spending much money and would be selling to buy. Were they wrong?

Seems a bit of a waste of time travelling all that way while leaving most of your best players behind. Mind you I think most long distance pre season tours are a bit pointless, especially for mid size clubs like Palace.
