They say that the failure to take Afghanistan showed the west how weak the USSR was and was the part of its downfall, maybe this will have the same affect.

That's a cop out. What is bizarre in that in this general election is you think the only party that deserves scrutiny are Labour.

Which one.

Sad that Nick Ferrari has to do the Torys job for them.

You're naive if you think it works like that.

Heard some twat in Ashfield say, when asked why he is voting for Reform, that they'll put the great back in GB. That was it, no explanation on how, people are so easily won over. Expect PTGBIGB hats.

It shows how little latitude the left have, when a policy that has impact on a small amount of people, most who can handle it, has people not affected by it lining up to attack it.

The more Reform MPs the more the Tories tear themselves apart. Bring it on.

I don't know if you heard this, but the Today podcast had some bloke on there explaining that the Aussies in charge of the Tory campaign have put the 'no plan stuff' at the heart of the Tory campaign. They lifted it straight out of the Aussie Aboriginal rights referendum. It's meant to focus on Sunaks future plan and not the Tory past that includes the Truss's disaster. I guess it was their best shot.

Surely they didn't live above the shop.

Sad isn't it. What do you reckon they need to do to achieve it, teacher courses with no uni fees and higher wages?
-
I know, how do they pivot from what gets them in to power to something more progressive. It's difficult, a very narrow consensus has developed that the big parties have to operate within. Move outside of that and the electorate gets nervous, stay inside and you might not have the tools to deliver real change.

Keir's first steps for change: Deliver economic stability Cut NHS waiting times Launch a new Border Security Command Set up Great British Energy Crack down on antisocial behaviour Recruit 6,500 new teachers I'd vote for that.

What's this super majority stuff, a few Tories came out with it yesterday. It doesn't mean anything in the UK. More Tory bollocks.
