  1. Rees-Mogg backs a second referendum
  2. Meh. You're just spooked because latest polls show 55% would rather stay in the EU than leave with no deal.
  3. The debt to the EU isnt going to go away if we leave. Its money owed for expenditure we signed up to and is already committed - things like Farage's pension.
  4. If the result had been something like 60:40 the issue of a second vote likely wouldn't arise. With a 52:48 result all it takes is one person in 50 to have changed their minds in the intervening two years to give a different result. You often argue its okay to overturn the 1975 referendum result because the EU is different now to the EC we joined. Thats fine. The outcome now is different to what people were promised / threatened with two years ago. What is wrong with a vote on the reality of our choices?
  5. Are you really saying no-one should ever change their mind no matter how circumstances change? Wow, if you were PM you'd be able to wipe out divorce, people changing jobs or swapping tv channels when they get bored. Clegg didnt change his view, he simply abided by cabinet collective responsibility in a coalition government. You don't get everything you want. Boris et al could learn a lot from him about pi ssing in the tent
  6. Are you saying Boris is Rolf? Maybe GM can lend you his libel lawyer Keynes' famous quote has a couple of versions but both fit Brexit. “When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?” or “When my information changes, I alter my conclusions.”
  7. Because the Tories are so hopelessly divided, the majority is so small and she hasn't got bravery or leadership skills . She should have picked a side ages ago, set out a clear vision and dared rebel MPs to challenge her.
  8. Do you think part of his motivation for getting elected was an effort to protect himself from prosecution, or simply a vanity project? Serious question.
  9. Effing Queen. No clairvoyance at all
  10. He's faded since he left Saints. Would he have been in the team? who knows, but he would certainly have been closer than he is now.
  11. Thats a mantra you repeat over and over. There is absolutely no evidence that the left are more hypocritical or dishonest than the right. The fact you continously single 'them' out for criticism whilst ignoring people like Farage and his 18 year long sup at the 'gravy train' he claims to despise is what positions you firmly on the right of centre.
  12. The protests are also an indirect message to May not to cosy up to Trump in her desperation to find some support. It seems like she has already taken a leaf out his guide to diplomacy book by broadcasting that he thinks Britain should sue the EU. Her middle way plan seems designed to alienate just about everyone.
  13. Some marches are in support of a specific policy change and some are in protest at the presence of an individual. I don't see why one is fine and one isn't.
  14. The police described it as being in small bottle. It wouldn't be surprising if the stuff was disguised as some kind of prescription medicine - and that's what Amesbury two took it be.
  15. Ive worked with and for environmental charities for the past 20 years. Ive advised organisations like the Soil Association, Marine Stewardship council and the Forest Stewardship Council on their certification standards. In 2000-2006 I worked with DEFRA and IEED to raise standards in supermarket practice with Race to the Top https://www.iied.org/race-top. More recently Ive focussed on Marine but retain may friends and colleagues who work in the agricultural sector.
  16. So you dont actually run a pig business either.
  17. Thats not what you said. you're trying to change your claim now you've been made to look stupid. Your quote is below. I do however agree that it would be better if you didnt waste my time arguing against the bleeding obvious
  18. Its one of those new 'enriched environment' outdoor shelters
  19. Thats weird because last time you struggled with reality you claimed you worked in the drinks industry.
  20. He's either lying, wrong or stupid. The irony is that most posters who grew up in Hampshire in the 50s, 60s and 70s remember the fields filled with pigs. "Outdoor pig farming is big in the UK. About 40% of British sows are kept in the fields". Pig Progress https://www.pigprogress.net/World-of-Pigs1/Articles/2017/12/United-Kingdom-A-pig-industry-on-the-edge-214053E/ There he is. Farmers Weekly Pig Farmer of the Year with definitely not in a field pigs. https://www.fwi.co.uk/livestock/2017-fw-awards-pig-farmer-of-the-year-finalists https://www.fwi.co.uk/livestock/2017-fw-awards-pig-farmer-of-the-year-finalists
  21. This is just another of your struggles against reality
  22. You're simply wrong. Bringing pigs indoors is a recent phenomenom and still nearly half are kept outside. https://www.pigprogress.net/World-of-Pigs1/Articles/2017/12/United-Kingdom-A-pig-industry-on-the-edge-214053E/ http://www.dalehead.co.uk/fun-facts-pigs-pig-farming.html
