Not sure if that is sarcasm or not, but Russia doesn't have the economic or military strength to challenge the West. What it does do well is sow doubt and confusion which erodes public support within democracies for challenging authoritarianism.

Russia is obsessed with being seen as a Great World Power, despite only having an economy the same size as Spain. 80% of the population seems to suffer from Stockholm syndrome - they believe the consistent 'glorious history' carp they have been told for over 100 years. This is an excellent documentary from the BBC a few months ago. Its must watch for anyone with an interest in Putin's mentality and how we got to where we are now. Many interviews with well placed contributors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvyVSboPQeY

He was misquoted. "well in excess of a six figure". I think he means £7

Gao paid a hefty price for the club. It possible he bought it to look the big man and philanthropic - but more likely he was spun a yarn about how much money was swilling about the PL and what a nice earner Saints would be. I imagine, based on very little admittedly, that KL has walked of with a big heavy bag of cash and Gao is trying to recoup the cost of his investment as quickly as he can. Maximising his rake and spending just enough to stay in the PL is probably the height of his ambitions atm.

He's not going to get any better at 29. if he has a good WC and we get a great offer then i'd let him go. It would be a good decision, just as it was with Fonte .

Cant be long before the first courier mass shooting because he didn't like your signature

I have no idea if you're Bournemouth Saint / Glasgow Saint / Heisenburg / whoever else or not. If you're not - then welcome. My advice is just dont be as tragic as him / Dalek and you'll be fine.

Thats the saddest part.

I don't understand the kick they get. Is it that they know everyone else thinks they're a **** and enjoy the approbation, or is it they think they're funny / creative? Can ****ing in shop doorways ever be funny / creative?

I insulated the whole 1st floor of my house with that - having checked it was fire retardent....

He's like Wes. Finds it impossible to separate out what he wants to happen from what will actually happen

Would be a good result for Britain to finish 17th. Currently we're bottom of the growth table

I'm gonna tell on you to my lawyers

Certainly not their 15,000 direct employees in the UK, or 80,000 in the supply chain including rolls royce who supply 40% of the engines or Chobham, GKN etc who supply avionics, landing gear etc.

Arguably he is already at a better more stable club than Saints currently, and they will be able to match whatever wages we could pay.

Hopefully that is driven by marketing to the huge Chinese market rather than the ego of the owner. Those long distance trips often seem to disrupt pre-season.

Laughing at therm for having utterly ****e team / ground / management / owners is not a wasted life. I still wish they were better than they are though. It would be good to play a reasonably close game once in a while. Its become less a rivalry and more like mocking the disabled. It makes me a little uncomfortable.

Posting with a new phone Trousers? Hmmm my son has just lost his Moto G5......

How many clubs outside of the top six have awesome strikers. How many awesome strikers want to come to a club who just avoided relegation? Its going to be a slog to rebuild the club's attractiveness and reputation.
-
The post match interview on the BBC seemed to indicate he wants to stay but hasnt heard anything - which is a bit odd. You'd think the club would have said something along the lines of "If you you keep us up we want you to stay" when they appointed him.
-
The sad thing is that a couple of years ago we could have attracted much better than Hughes. Now he is pretty much the best we can hope for.

Many in Brexit voters do blame the EU for loss of jobs - yet the Yougov survey shows unemployment ranks low as a priority. The EU is actually quite protectionist, arguably as far as it can be in globalist world. https://yougov.co.uk/news/2018/05/11/yougov-data-reveals-what-europeans-think-are-most-/

Its third, you forgot Spain. A close second for Britain was terrorism on 35, which many people would link to immigration. Personally I find the high terrorism score odd given attacks / deaths are pretty low.
