  1. Wasn't it Bertrand who tweeted about what a difference having clear instructions made? Ralph hasn't coached them into better players in two weeks - but he has clearly improved motivation and is sending them out with a game plan they buy in to
  2. Surely he would want the airport to make as much noise as possible. Unless his neighbour the triple glazing salesman was cleaning up.
  3. Probably, but you'd need a European army for that....
  4. IS is a spent force. It’s really about giving up on dealing with a brutal dictator who has been aided and abetted in oppressing his people by Putin
  5. When you don’t know enough about a situation to make an informed judgement all you can do is look at who is saying what and back the person who has a history of acting in a measured way. Trump’s overall track record is what makes people distrust him to the extent you’d rather believe almost anyone over him.
  6. So you’re saying General Mattis the US Defence Secretary who resigned over it is a know nothing sheep?
  7. Just stopped off there for a pasty on the way home. Nearly empty on what’s supposed to be the busiest weekend of the year
  8. Its like Joe Johnson said - shes running down the clock in the hope she can panic MPs into thinking it really is a choice between her deal on no deal. The most disturbing thing about May is not her crap negotiating or unnecessary red lines but her authoritarian streak. She has tried to bypass or marginalise or con Parliament at every turn.
  9. Im no Corbyn fan but they've clearly been holding back until they are reasonably sure they could win - presumably talking to the DUP for weeks trying to patch together an agreement. The reason for the no confidence in May is because some Tories will abstain but would vote loyally if the no confidence was in the Government rather than the leader
  10. I did but then you immediately contradicted yourself by saying I love a leave option. It's a typical Les confused post.
  11. Do you really not understand the difference between a prediction and a preference?
  12. 2.5 years and you still haven't grasped the point of view of somebody you debate with regularly. Maybe thats why you struggle so much with Brexit. I'd prefer to remain, that always been my position because the promised benefits of leave wont materialise but the economic costs will. Of all the leave options Norway+ will mean the least economic damage. I dont love it, it pointless, but its better than the other even more pointless options
  13. You really are worried, and with reason tbf. Gung ho Brexit is dead, the country has moved on as most people have woken up to reality. The only thing keeping it twitching is a seriously unwell PM.
  14. Since when have Socialist Workers been representative of anybody apart from a tiny minority.
  15. Then why are you and most leavers ****ing yourselves about May's deal or Norway+? Its leave. The ballot paper didn't say 'leave with a deal'; 'leave with no deal' or 'leave and join EEA', just leave. I don't see what the ambiguity is. It's not remainers fault that a big chunk of those who voted leave would rather remain than accept the horse poo thats on offer.
  16. Its a democracy Les. People change their minds. Who would've thought that should be allowed? If either Leave or Remain had won by 60% or more the issue would be dead and buried. As it is, over the course of 2.5 years only one person in 50 needed to change their minds (or die and be replaced by a new voter) to give a different result. Thats why most democracies insist that fundamental changes are approved by 60:40 or two thirds majorities.
  17. Whatever you think about Blair he has exposed the huge weaknesses in Corbyn's leadership skills and political nous. Blair has rattled May far more in a couple of speeches and tv interviews than Corbyn has managed to achieve in three years as leader of the opposition.
  18. It part of a low level of hassle which will creep back into everyday life. Its not just the money - its remembering to apply for the visa, to actually spend time doing it and then queing up in the aliens queue rather than the EU passports line an once you get in you face higher roaming charges. Not massive but enough to make things like impulse weekends away much more difficult. Thats what leaving the EU means, additional minor hassles in a thousand areas of life.
  19. Some of the papers are reporting that the reason May didn't get more support from the EU tonight was because she turned up without any concrete proposals or ideas. Despite Merkel interrupting her 10 minute speech three times to ask "what do you want?" May couldn't offer anything. Its beyond bizarre.
  20. Roubles? Direct debit from the Cayman Islands?
  21. They might be able to agree on Norway plus customs union. Remain might think that was close enough and Brexiteers could think its a reasonable resting place until they're ready for a full departure. Basically more kicking the can of worms down the road.
  22. Because if Labour do it it will be seen as vote of no confidence in the Government and Tory MPs will rally round the flag, but if the Tories knife May themselves anything could happen
  23. Maybe so. But the fact that taxpayers money was used by the Government to smear the opposition should concern all of us
  24. What are the odds on a Remain new PM, Brexit, or another one who tries to fudge it? (given that worked so well last time). Anyone brave enough to call it?
