In any event the Tory party has ways of circumventing awkward party members - the coronation of remainer Theresa May as PM is a case in point.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

These people have. 73 of them. Got to kill them to free them y'see. I'm sure none of the relatives will think about revenge. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2016/jul/20/us-airstrike-allegedly-kills-56-civilians-in-northern-syria -
Thats a stretch. They invest less here than Luxembourg
-
As you say many factors involved. Ive never seern any stats on what the costs and benefits are for the host and originating country of migrants within the EU. It would be an interesting read.
-
Never understood why the pictures on the galleries are so small with no way (that I can see) of enlarging them. Almost every other website from shopping to estate agents allows you to zoom up to almost full screen size.

What is sweet is your belief you have better political instincts than the PM. Leavers voted for all kinds off reasons - sovereignty, immigration, cost etc. If you cobbled together a deal which contained some modest compromise on any of one of those three issues you'd persuade more than 2% to switch sides and Brexit would no longer have a majority.

France and Spain certainly benefit from tourism more than the UK does - but that isnt really related to being in the EU or not. Retired Brits living in the EU probably do overall benefit the host country, but that doesn't necessarily mean Britain loses. The UK would have to pay the pensions anyway and if they had remained here we would also be liable for healthcare, social services and housing benefit.
-
Or with another slant on it, we already pay the lowest proportion of national income of any of the 28 countries in the EU. Im sure they'll be queuing up to give us an even better deal.

You do have an comprehension issue. Calling out a specific din who was involved in the Iraq and Libyan wars but endlessly blames everyone else but himself is not the same as criticising the forces in general. Many ex armed forces know full well the operations in Iraq and Libya contributed to the problem. -
That'll be because they are still worth billions less. Not tricky. International companies have international investors, over 90% in some cases. For investors in every country in the world bar Britain the value of their investment has slumped.

Hard to know whether you believe the carp you write. People have been pouring into Europe because we destroyed the governments of three countries and turned them into hopeless hellholes where two things happened. 1. The citizens wanted to get out 2. The law enforcement agencies are gone so people smugglers can operate with impunity from Libya and Syria, shipping people to Europe from across Africa and Asia. There is no security service to stop anybody who wants to load 500 people onto a derelict boat fit for 100. Once they are at sea we can pick them up or watch them drown. You helped create not only the climate for IS, but also the route by which they can get here. Congrats. -

No. Im saying the people who killed 300,000 civilians on the pretext of weapons that didnt exist are mostly to blame. -

You were in the Gulf war weren't you? Very proud of bombing the **** out of them. How come someone who has done more to bring about IS than anyone else on the thread now witters on endlessly about how someone else is to blame? -
Stay in the single market, have a stable pound, not shatter business confidence.
-
Do they? May told Hollande the reason they wouldnt invoke article 50 immediately was because they needed a few months to work out a plan. Not her fault of course - its that of the witless leavers and those who voted for jump with no idea of where to.

sh1t sh1ttier sh1ttiest The grammar in this place has gone down hill

Stock prices have held up because the pound has fallen so much British companies appear cheap to overseas buyers, not because of the fundamentals of the economy or domestic confidence.

Just remainers project fear innit?

Two things. How will our Labour market be more flexible than our competitors if they can hire / relocate staff around the EU at a moments notice and we require a visa? There is no contradiction. The UK economy is overly reliant on financial services. The fact it is so important to us is the reason to both protect it and to develop alternative industries.

Johnny missed out the main part from PWC's briefing. "One important factor that contributes to London’s success as an international financial centre is its access to the Single Market via passporting for financial services. This applies across the EU, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein, and gives UK-based financial institutions unfettered access to the rest of the Single Market. It seems, at present, that the only way for London to continue to benefit from passporting would be for the UK to join the EEA when it leaves the EU. But given this scenario would probably mean free movement of labour continuing to apply, the UK making a contribution to the EU budget and EU-wide regulations still having to be applied in the UK, this could be a difficult outcome to achieve politically. So, what would losing (some) access to the Single Market mean for London? PwC’s analysis shows that, everything else remaining equal, the loss of passporting could see London lose its place as the EU’s strongest financial centre as it would fall into 2nd place in the league table behind Dublin. Its gap with Luxembourg, Paris and other EU cities could also narrow significantly. Though factors such as a change in government policy, the extent of spare capacity which could support an inflow of FS activity or the presence of bodies like the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) in Paris or the European Central Bank (ECB) in Frankfurt, could also see one of the other financial centres PwC has identified emerge as a new star performer. Richard Boxshall commented: “London’s position as an international financial centre is not by any means purely dependent on EU passporting. Other factors such as access to skills and a strong and stable legal system should see it remain as a leading global financial hub in the years ahead. But the potential loss of EU market access poses a challenge for many financial services firms. Business leaders based in London should focus their efforts on lobbying UK Government and EU politicians to retain as much EU access as possible, including retaining EU passporting rights.”

Not true. Ukraine also voluntarily gave up its nukes after they inherited them from the Soviet Union. In exchange we signed a treaty promising to defend them from outside aggression - a commitment we have let them down on.
