Overall that is a pretty well judged cabinet - but Boris Foreign Secretary? Jeez.

Well lets see. We've borrowed an extra £655 billion under his watch and will borrow another £72 billion this year, nine years after the banking crisis. My wild guess is 'no'.

I hope so. But she has couched those promises in terms of giving the marginalised 'more control' over their lives - whatever that means. So far she has said nothing about about one of the burning issues, restoring social mobility so people aren't locked in permanently to the circumstances they were born into.

The board is currently being deloused. Please check back later. Thats what I read.

A weaker pound will likely lead to higher inflation and consequently higher interest rates to control it. I agree there are positive aspects to a lower pound - but its hard to say atm if the overall effect will be beneficial or not. What is certain is that the people who gain - primarily businesses who export, wont be same group as the people who lose - consumers, mortgage payers and small businesses.

True, but he also speaks French and German and of course Danish - possibly more besides. You won't find many 20 year olds who can do that.

Good point. That would make a huge difference to public perception of the new party.

Red Imps or Celtic?

Agree about the popularity of the SNP. The only way I can see a Labour breakaway working is if most of the 'famous' Labour MPs join it so the breakaway is seen by the public as the true Labour party and Corbyn's party is seen as a rump left wing faction. Even then if the the two parties compete head to head in a General Election they would split the vote and let the Conservatives in. I think its pretty unlikely they will be able to get both a majority of MPs leaving and an electoral pact.

Its a moral hazard thing though isnt it. Germany is worried that if they let the Greeks off some of the debt because they really cant pay then other countries who can service their debts will just think 'why should we bother'? The other issue is that many parts of the Greek state, including tax collection, is pretty dysfunctional. If they collected what is due then they could balance the budget wouldn't have run up such massive unsustainable debts. The Germans want to see substantive progress on putting out the fire before they help with rebuilding.

Pahars? really? Keegan scored nearly as many goals in two years as Pahars did in seven and took us to what was then our highest ever finish, sixth. Oh and he was two times European Player of the Year. It was like signing Messi or Ronaldo.

She's 'okay' I guess - but one of those people where you tend to think 'I could do better than that'. Thats not really ideal when you're talking about a potential leader of the country.

We are. Its one of the leave scare stories which has taken root.

More than Britain then.

As far to the right of where most of the electorate is as the Corbynites are to the left.

On what planet does turning over nearly all the players every year actually work? Cook looks like he cant plan or manage so instead resorts trying to get lucky by changing the cards.

At least May cant be any worse than this

My thoughts too. Presumably the General Election will be held after the draft deal has been struck but before its been formally agreed .

Says the man who's scared Deutsche is going bust owing 50 times the GDP of Germany. #figureoffun

Long is pretty good looking. Bit short though. Maybe some of Cortese's old lifts are still lying around?
