Im not sure. Both Tesla and Space X are very technical. Musk cant interefere too much in the design or production engineering because he doesnt have the knowledge or skills. By contrast, everybody and their dog has a view on how social media should be run and thinkks they know best. I wouldnt be surprised if he fucks it up quite badly.

Ja I don't disagree. I am so bored of hearing every minor detail of somebody's makeup and how they are discriminated in some way. The tokenism in films and tv and the incessant megaphoning of special interests is incredibly tedious. Whether of not somebody wants to wear a dress is fine by me, I dont care. Im still going to snigger inwardly at the six foot tall 16 stone ones with receding hair though. .

George Osbourne, Chancellor under Cameron was somebody I considered to be a fairly average politician at the time. He was on tv with Andrew Neil last week commenting on economic policy of the past six or seven years. His analysis of the recent crop of shite made him look like a bona fide Collossus by comparison.

Everytime I think the simpleton couldn't be any more simple..... Just goes to show, never underestimate anyone.

It's much more complicated than what is portrayed here or in the Daily Mail. There are two separate issues which sometimes overlap. Its not necessarily about wokeism. Dont let that stop the outrage though. Quite a high proportion of the population, around 1.5% have some degree of intersex - ie they are genetically male or female but have genitals, chromosones or endocrinology issues which are some way between the two. Sometimes children are assigned a different sex at birth to what is later discovered to be their genetic makeup. If you are, for example a genetic male but have a vagina, oestrogen and testerone levels more commonly found in women or abnormalities in your Y chromosone its not surprising that many later identify as transgender

Agree that's most likely. However the next village over from the missile site is called Ameryka (America when translated from either Polish or Ukrainian). Cant rule out some Russian saddo thinking it would be a massively important psychological blow to bomb America.

I think it depends on what you include, what you leave out, and what exact period the figures are for. Im no economist either but as far as I understand it UK figures dont include things such as PFI debt and the public pension liabilities which other countries count. Even the Government though admit UK public debt is over 100%, a figure which will increase further with new borrowing and if there is a recession and GDP drops. New borrowing is adding to the already huge pile - £44 billion just in Q2 this year. . UK general government gross debt was £2,436.7 billion at the end of Quarter 2 (Apr to June) 2022, equivalent to 101.9% of gross domestic product (GDP). UK general government deficit (or net borrowing) was £43.9 billion in Quarter 2 2022, equivalent to 7.2% of GDP. https://www.ons.gov.uk/economy/governmentpublicsectorandtaxes/publicspending/bulletins/ukgovernmentdebtanddeficitforeurostatmaast/june2022 https://www.theguardian.com/business/2022/sep/04/now-britain-is-in-the-100-debt-to-gdp-club-whats-the-spending-plan

Interesting thing to say... Ukraine will return Crimea without a fight against the backdrop of internal struggle in Russia, - Defense Minister Reznikov https://twitter.com/TpyxaNews/status/1592110501202481152/photo/1

Yep I do get that, but the other G7 countries havent gone so far down the debt rabbit hole as we have. Agree its generally much better to cut taxes and more public spending during a recession and raise taxes to repay debt when the economy is booming. Trouble is the UK has screwed itself by running huge budget deficits for so long there is no safety cushion left. If we put paying the bill off any longer there is a danger funding the debt becomes impossible as interest rates rise and the pound collapses.

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/nov/13/dont-be-taken-in-by-50bn-fiscal-hole-dodgy-tory-metaphor "........But there is no objectively measured “hole”. What Hunt is describing is the gap between how big the OBR forecasts the national debt will be in the future and where he would like it to be according to his own rules; at the moment, the government says it wants the size of the national debt to be falling relative to the size of the economy within three years. This rule is a political choice." Thats true but its also a sensible responsible choice. We never paid back the debt built up as a result of the financial crisis and have been adding to it ever since with Brexit and Covid. With interest rates increasing due to worry over ability to pay back debt unless we make a start now there is a risk of getting sucked into an ever worsening whirlpool.

They may just consolidate and wait until Spring. But the most likely imo is an isolation of Crimea and push towards it. The rationale being that the Donbass war has been going on since 2014 and defence positions are very well dug in. Its really hard and costly for either side to advance, but that isnt the case with the south of Kherson. If it started to look as if Russia was potentially going to lose Crimea they would throw Donbass unbder the bus imo - give it back to Ukraine and negotiate some kind of time limited lease agreement for Crimea.
-
I dont see the logic in that. It would be very high risk - essentially creating the same resupply problems for the landing force there as the Russians decided were insurmountable in Kherson. Much better to keep the territory / battlefield contiguous I would have thought.

I read a few weeks ago that the plan was likely to push south from Zaporhizia until they hit the Sea of Azov near Melitopol - ie to divide the Russian held area into two. Then bomb the Kerch bridge again and cut the whole Crimea and south of Kherson Oblast off from supplies. No idea if true or not but makes sense.

His parents must be sick of driving that bleedin Lada.

Biden would beat Trump again, by a wider margin this time too imo. De Santis would be probably be a much stronger candidate. I reckon Americans are tired of past their best politicians so somebody younger and more energetic would do well. The Democrats would need to match De Santis.

I don't wanna holiday in the sun. I like a cheap holiday in other people's misery.

I think Putin and his cronies simply embezzled all the cash. For context In the US, which often cited as a very unequal society the top 0.1%, about 320,000 people, own 16% of the wealth. I read yesterday that in Russia just 500 people own more than 50% of the wealth.

That withdrawal has had a long drawn out out 'orchestrated' feel to it. Something was gonig on behind the scenes.

Literally every post you make further demonstrates how clueless you are. Both Miami and Austin are Democrat voting cities. Indeed Austin is renowned as one of the most liberal cities in the US. How do you manage to be so consistently profoundly wrong? It’s weird
