Dont know, but probably via claiming Portguese citizenship. Crucially though he played in Europe before coming to the UK. The rules are pretty clear.

Most South Americans qualify by digging up a European granny from somewhere. I have no idea if Damaio has that option or not, but if he doesn't, I don't think he has played 75% of Brazil's games in the past two years. He certainly isnt in the squad for the next one.
He's right, Damiao / the club might well struggle. The rules state "the player must have participated – if available – in at least 75 per cent of his national team’s senior competitive internationals during the last two years".
Starting to look like driver made an error whilst on an unfamiliar route and possibly distracted by incoming call. TPS wasnt yet fitted for last 4km of that track.

Both are strikers capped by their country, with the Netherlands currently higher rated than Brazil, but neither are first choice. He was in the Olympics, which Jack Cork also played in. Is Cork now worth £22m?
Young Dutch international striker who has just signed for a comparable club for £10m - as opposed to us chasing Damiao a young international striker who has never played in Europe, doesn't speak English, doesn't want to come here and costs twice as much.
