  1. Agree totally. With Adkins we scored more and conceded more. The points per game was probably about the same as Pochettino, but the games were a lot more fun to watch.
  2. I think its the tactics. Flood midfield and keep possession - which is fine if you have the pace for a quick breakaway attack - we mostly don't. JRod cant do it all by himself. Can see us getting tonked by the long ball again next season.
  3. My concern too. Still too much 'possession without product'.
  4. This one works. Saints yoof in fine voice http://firstrowuk.eu/watch/197647/2/watch-southampton-fc-vs-besiktas.html
  5. Bloody French
  6. Sorry, Higuain.
  7. Dont watch those programmes / read those sites then. doh.
  8. He's the one I hankered after, much more so than Damiao or Osvaldo - always out of our league / price bracket though
  9. Depends what the armed forces are asked to do in the future. Seems to me the army is favoured because of political requirements to operate in Afghanistan, Iraq etc. Defence of the UK would be down more to the Air force and Navy.
  10. There he is in the background. Dont know who the weirdos in the front are.
  11. Did we tell them the Thames was really the Missisippee as well?
  12. A dip followed by a flat quarter is still a dip - even if it doesn't technically qualify as a recession. However agree, we are drifting sideways atm
  13. Can I have your autograph anyway?
  14. Like that would ever happen!
  15. Quite. Hence "If AM really were close to signing him"..... Odd though that when Sky Italia were writing about Gaston possibly leaving Bologna for Saints it was lapped up and turned out to be true. When the same source writes something about him leaving Saints.....
  16. No it doesn't. It says AM were close to buying him.
  17. If AM really were close to signing him but it fell through because Gaston wanted to stay - it means Saints were happy to sell him.
  18. Its not turning into an acquisition.
  19. Still only online translation but this one makes a little more sense imo On the sidelines of the International Forum "the British press on Italian football and the Napoli President De Laurentiis, is back to talk about market events affecting the company. It starts by the doorman: "you will have news tomorrow night. The situation is in the making says. Gonalons? We substitute with a player who can play. We have elements that are tested for, Benitez game. We got a player who can play both in defence and in midfield. I follow its directives because then if I take him players in a certain time will say that I took him ". Then there is also talk of Zuniga: "we offered a renewal, but has an agent who believes he is a genius of world football. Three years ago I made a proposal, then another two years ago and now with the money saved I say that I will buy one stronger. I love him so much, I would like to have him with us but I don't understand why many become prey of its agents ". Dedicated attacker closure: "but why would accelerate on Higuain and braking on Damiao? On the Chelsea player who has offered important figures and even Arsenal. But we must also take account of the coach who has seen important features in Damiao. We are on the market all year round, we are always ready to buy, but after the last experience we look for players to play. We're not Udinese that makes trading ".
  20. Agree they turned out great. Much better than the planned buys. Maybe that says something too.
  21. She was so big you needed GPS to find the money shot? wow. Don't bother printing them.
  22. Fair comment. I agree with almost all. Last close season I certainly had faith there would be plans a,b and c to address the defensive weaknesses so was relaxed about, if a little puzzled, by spending £13m on Ramirez. I never believed we would start the campaign with KD backed up only by Gazzaniga and no CBs coming in. Turns out I was wrong. Like you I hope Cortese has learnt.
