Can anyone recommend a good watch for around 100 quid
buctootim replied to dune's topic in The Lounge
Go for something like this - new old stock from the 1960s. Good make from a period he will no doubt appreciate if he's 65. Classy period design too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOS-NEW-SPECIAL-RECORD-LONGINES-SWISS-MADE-WATCH-1960S-/110875043580?pt=Wris****ches&hash=item19d0aae6fc -
Yep. Couple of drops, then put some cotton wool in and leave overnight. Wax liquidises and flows down the little eustacian tubes into your throat (did for me anyway).

Absolutely true. The argument for breaking up the Royal Mail monopoly was that prices would fall and service would be better. In fact imo Royal Mail is as good as DHL / UPS etc for much less money.

Im not upset. You're not stupid and read the game well. You know full well that goalkeepers and goalscorers get more attention from the casual fan but that people who watch a lot of games tend to appreciate the work done by other players. Dunno know why you need to argue the toss in something you dont often believe in .

Do you really need to troll every single post in every single thread? or are you going to deny that most fans are less likely to notice a holding midfielders brilliant breakup play than a goalkeepers string of saves?

As sharp as Broccolli

Exactly. Its just that what most people notice and what is objectively true arent necessarily the same thing.

The doc will tell you to put a couple of drops of olive oil into your ears at night. Least thats what mine told me and it worked a treat (after the over counter drops failed to do anything)

Good question Ken. Can I just add to that if the players contracts are terminated by liquidation do they still get the value of them under the football creditors rule even if they find another club paying the same wages or more?

Not knocking the thread but these things are nearly always won by strikers or goalkeepers. They're the ones which catch the eye, but dont necessarily make the biggest contribution. That said Davis was immense at Leeds!

A memorial that mispells his name twice. He'd be so touched.

Or "Is there a palling conduct in the store?"

It could be that the pump is jammed and cant pump out - so the lack of water coming in isnt the actual fault - its just the anti flood mechanism kicking in. I had something similar, stumped up the £70 for an engineer and it turned out to be a meat bone stuck in the pump.

It has been almost a full year tbf.

This is the first thread that Im glad Turkish has trolled in. How ****ing sad do you have to be for fully grown men to compare on an anonymous web forum how many women they've slept with? Expecially considering half were rented in 30 minute blocks and most of the the other half were made up. Whats next? how much I earned last year and how many Modiglianis I've got in my garden shed? -
Who pays the piper calls the tune. Not sure which part of that France and Greece dont get.

She will have mightily expensive lawyers paid for by Rupes. She might get found guilty at first but will appeal until she gets off imo. They will challenge the admissibility of every piece of evidence at the initial trial and through an exhaustive appeal process, gradually getting bits dumped at each hearing until there is insufficient evidence left.

You're both right imo. There is potentially demand for a 50,000 capacity stadium - but only if tickets are as cheap as chips. Building it wouldnt make any kind of economic or business sense but its just possible that ML left money and instructions for some kind of community stadium with access for everybody who wanted to come. If, like almost every other club Saints aim to maximise income they will structure pricing to try to ensure that SMS sells out every game but that there arent people turned away (because that would nmean they had set the prices too low). Personally even if Saints become a regular top ten side I dont see demand exceeding 40,000 if tickets are around the average EPL price.

Nice summation!

How the **** can there be 1,270 posts on something so simple? If the club wanted to maximise attendance (build support and image for the future etc) and money was no object they would build a 50,000 capacity stadium and make tickets £5 and fill it. If they want to maximise revenue they will keep SMS and charge something like £40 a game.

North Carolina is nowhere near the worst. Places like Asheville, Raleigh and Durham are actually really nice. Try Bentonville Arkansas or Houston for a really 'authentic' experience.
