  1. I bet Brian Howe, the singer with Bad Company is in the mix somewhere.
  2. The Scottish Daily Record are still saying we will come back in with a third and final bid of £6m because we have been given some encouragement. Whether that is true or not remains to be seen. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/2012/01/17/southampton-increase-gary-hooper-bid-to-6m-but-celtic-striker-insists-i-m-going-nowhere-86908-23703567/
  3. Entry Requirements - Passport validity You must hold a valid passport to enter Netherlands. For stays of up to three months your passport must be valid for the proposed duration of your stay; you do not need any additional period of validity on your passport beyond this. However, it is always sensible to have a short period of extra validity on your passport in case of any unforeseen delays to your departure. http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/travel-and-...pe/netherlands
  4. No. The passport just needs to still be valid on the day you leave. http://www.fco.gov.uk/en/travel-and-living-abroad/travel-advice-by-country/europe/netherlands
  5. With respect, thats nonsense. A mod should be able to recognise patterns of behaviour and act accordingly. You cant treat every post and thread as though its the first you've ever seen from a person - otherwise you end up continously giving destructive trolls the benefit of the doubt.
  6. The only drinks which dont dissolve teeth are milk and water. http://www.bbc.co.uk/learningzone/clips/the-effects-of-different-drinks-on-teeth/4294.html
  7. Cloak shirley ?
  8. Most interesting part of that is his use of 'first'. Clearly expecting other late nights, so more transfer news to come.
  9. Im not so much a Royalist as lassez-faire. Have never been convinced we have a major problem and am doubtful any particular alterntive constitutional model offers significant bebefits without introducing new disadvantages.
  10. Good post, agree. All small countries have the same problem of not having the population to support and competive league. Personally I'd like to see the British premier league. 20 clubs - Celtic, Rangers, a rejuventated Cardiff plus Belfast could support a successful club. Would make away games more fun too.
  11. What form of government would you choose Verbal? Figurehead President with Executive Prime Minister (eg France and Ireland); Executive President accountable directly to parliament (eg US), some other? Genuinely interested to know.
  12. Yes, thanks, think it probably was. I rember reading a little more detail though - perhaps it inspired me to go off and google other info.
  13. Celtic is a good club, so is Rangers. But the SPL is **** poor - the quality isnt there and league is so weak only one of two teams are ever gonig to win it. Whats the point? Its dull to watch and dull to play in. Its like putting the two Manchester clubs in a league with 16 doncasters - totally unwatchable.
  14. tbh, dropping in and out of the premiership is far better than playing clubs like Inverness Caledonian and Aberdeen four times a year.
  15. Saw an intersting article about this. Its not even Kenyans in general - just a very small area of Kenya about 40 mile radius around one village, cant remember its name.
  16. Guly is probably ahead on open play goals - Lambert gets to take most free kicks as well as penalties. Maybe we should boo them both just in case
  17. No, but he if he wanted to come to Saints he would have been vaguer and more circumspect.
  18. and who else has Nigel managed......
  19. Im sure you've had bigger whoosh's, but this one is right up there.
  20. Wow, you got a touch of Alpine perpective disease? Just to state the obvious - North Korea, dictatorship with almost absolute power. Constitutional Monarchy - ceremonial figurehead, power vested in elected government.
  21. Pretty categoric if accurate
  22. Its actually surprising how many countries do still have a monarch - Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, Spain. People keep the monarchy because although its an anachronistic system in many ways - it actually works pretty well . Having an elected President (King) usually just means you get a self serving ego driven **** at Head of State level as well as at parliamentary level.
  23. Political convictions? How quaint. How pre focus group
  24. There is no way £60m would buy a yacht useable by a Head of State anyway - given all the need to accomodate security and public function rooms. The Royal Yacht Brittania was the size of a cross channel ferry. You'd be looking at nearer £200m imo.
  25. I have the same thought. Oddly not that worried about departure though, for reasons cant quite put finger on
